A small hometown mom-n-pop bakery. I’ve never been to this place before so I used my GPS for directions and thought I was either lost or my GPS didn’t know where to go. This place is like in the middle of no where. But I am glad I stopped by. The transparent pies are great. I also had some square cake and it was delicious.

I have grown up on Magee’s sweet treats. From the time I was little and the bakery was located in downtown Maysville I have enjoyed this shop. I have never eaten something I didn’t like. My favorite thing to get is the transparent tarts. I also enjoy the petite fours, the cupcakes, the tea wafers, and.everything. If you are passing through Kentucky definitely stop here to fill your sweet tooth it is worth your time and money!!!

This is my favorite bakery in the whole world. Their tea wafers are melt in your mouth good. Their white cake is the stuff dreams are made of, lol. I only wish they could ship the cake, as I don’t live there anymore.

I just spent $ 24 at a bakery and I’m a little embarrassed. That money got me 4 dozen cookies, half a dozen transparent tarts and an individual cheesecake. We stopped here last week and got a small sampling of everything, and it was all delicious. What a little gem! A little out of the way, but if it’s good enough for George Clooney, it’s good enough for me!

This bakery is definitely unique and very out of the way. They’re known for their delicious Transparent Pies and tarts, a Kentucky delicacy. Transparent pies go by many names but only one gal in Northern Kentucky knows how to make the best, and she goes by the name of Magee. Magee’s Bakery Farm is an 100 acre beef farm with bakery(and adorable miniature ponies!) Visitors can tour the 1790’s farm house or choose to tour the entire farm on a hay ride(or just pig out on tarts and other goodies.) I believe there’s hiking and fossil hunting on the farm as well. You can tour the bakery, which allows visitors to make their own tart and butter biscuit. The tarts go for $ 1.25 each($ 15 dozen) and pies go for $ 7. They also sell other goodies, including sugar cookies, cakes and local honey. If you’re planning on buying a lot, call ahead. This is a large farm but small bakery. **Important Tip 1** Once you get on Orangeburg Road keep looking for the big blue sign that says«Magee’s Bakery» in white lettering. I passed it and had to turn around. **Important Tip 2** They only take checks and cash-no credit or debit(I lucked out big time but didn’t get to buy as much as I wanted.)
