6÷25÷15 We stopped in for lunch and what a disappointment. I frequented this diner quite often in the past for dinner, they had delicious food, my favorites being the short ribs and pot pie. Our server, Ron, was very efficient but the diet coke I ordered was served with a lemon slice that was partially rotten. They have an extensive menu but the two of us finally decided on fish and chips after asking a passing waiter,(not ours) if the fish was fresh and battered in house, or frozen. He informed us that fish came in frozen and battered in house. When the fish came out it clearly was frozen and battered. If I wanted Mrs. Pauls, or Gortons I could have gone to Shoprite on my way home! We asked Ron about the fish, he confirmed what we thought was on our plate. We told him that if we knew that the fish was a commercial product it would have changed our decision to order it. He informed us that the other waiter did not know and Ron was very apologetic. Evidently there was a change of ownership a couple of months ago. We informed the hostess of our displeasure and she deducted $ 5.00 off of our bill.

Every time we have gone here it has been a bad experience. The first time we had a waitress that was so drugged up spit dribbled out of her mouth into my water as she was handing it to me and she didn’t even notice. Then we go another time and we order at the same time as our table and don’t receive our food when everything comes out. It took our waitress 10 – 15 mins to realize she never put in our order. No one ever received a refill and when everyone finished their food an hour after ordering we finally received ours. The best part is they will were insisting we paid for it even though we didn’t have time to eat it.

Under new management My wife and I come here at least once a month for the past 6 years. I order the same thing every time I don’t even open the menu. Italian omelet, deep fried home fries(don’t judge), rye toast, and a side of scrapple. The wife always gets something green and probably healthy. We have not been here in a little over a month so when we walked in and didn’t see elephant ears and cookies all over the counter and the host didn’t have a tie but was wearing a T-shirt we knew something was up. The waitress let us know there was new owner. I thought Oh Shit!!! Ok under the old owner the toast wasn’t all the way toasted and the forgot the scrapple every other time, but he who has not sinned… Anyway it’s the little things I miss like the aforementioned elephant ears and the classy host. I made sure they still had the Italian omelet, but I should have read the description, they put marinara sauce on it and it seemed smaller. It was good, the toast was toasted and they remembered the scrapple so they get points for that. I think my wife liked her green stuff, it came in a tortilla bowl and she finished it. But for now I’m taking point off for the host in the Orange T-shirt, come on dude you didn’t have a polo shirt? Will probably be back next month

As far as diners go, this one is pretty tops. Being from Jersey, diners are a staple, but as anyone can tell you, there are a TON of sketchy ass diners in the Garden State. I’m inherently suspicious of ANY place with a huge menu, because you KNOW that everything is just thawed and reheated, so I stick to the sandwiches and easy breakfast meals, etc. So, I ordered the short stack of pancakes and was very pleasantly surprised. I then tried my dads open face chicken reuben and it too was delicious! The place was clean, the waitress was nice and the price was acceptable. I recommend Mays Landing Diner if you want a good, quick meal.

Im reading some of the review here. Some are not favorable. Im posting because I have been going to this diner for over five years once week. Sometimes we go for breakfast, other times for dinner. We have never had a problem with their food. Their pancakes and french toast are #1. And we’ve been to a number of diners in this area and out of this area. We like Mays Landing diner the best. Its spotless, the waiters/waitresses are friendly, polite and wait on you asap. Even on their busy mornings. We love coming here for the atomosphere and the food.

Mays Landing Diner is both rare & special. I’ve been a fan since the 90’s. I remember with great fondness my college years pulling all nighters and heading here late night with the roomie for noms. You could never go wrong with their French onion soup or turkey club. So budget friendly and that hasn’t changed! Recently I had the chance to stop in for lunch and I was delighted to see the diner has not lost the 80s charm I loved so much in the 90s. I love the soft Saved By The Bell-ish salmony pink and aqua booths and bar stools, pink neon accent lighting, and the dining room chairs remind me of the ones I had for my Barbies as a kid. Please MLD don’t ever change! At the same time I noticed the restaurant has made important updates such as hands free soap, sink and paper towels in the restrooms. For lunch my sis and I had a very generous and fresh salad(no bag lettuce(((yes!!!))) with the best homemade tasting blue cheese dressing. The dressing had a subtle sweetness which played well with the ample chunks of cheese. We each also had a bowl of the heartiest handcrafted Manhattan clam chowder. Perfect ratio of veg, clams and broth! I could of guzzled the broth on its own it was packed with such a nuance of flavors! Through the course of our lunch the fresh baked on premises goodies piled high on the bar teased us and we ended up grabbing some butter cookies and an elephant ear for the ride home. Mays Landing Diner will always be a must go back spot for me!

Relatively large location with a large menu to pair with it as well. Has all your classic breakfast options at reasonable prices. A lovely diner, with a nice homie and local vibe. Staff members were friendly and patient. Restroom was clean though a tad small, but no biggie. Ordered a short stack of french toast(2 toasts) with scrapple, which prior to this I had no idea what it even was. Just figured that bacon and sausages were the plain options so I decided to expand my taste buds some bit by going with something different. Although I will admit, I was a bit weirded out by it after my friend had let me in on the scoop but I mean what the hey, where’s the fun in living if you’re not willing to explore weird and exotic foods right? Great place to enjoy a nice and simple meal while catching up with some cool folks!(: I would love to become a regular here.

Friendly enough and a decent variety of options. Our table ordered the chicken Parma sandwich and it was alright but the side of fries was sad. We also got s salmon pasta and broccoli dish that was ok but way too cheesy and heavy. The final choice was a New Yorker sandwich of warm pastrami and cheese. It was ok but soggy bread. And my fries were really sub par. Never offered a glass of water or desert.

MAYSLANDINGDINER in Mays Landing, NJ6177 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing, NJ8330 This was our third dinner here in just a few weeks. Once again, the dinner was great, the service excellent, and we left with enough leftovers for another meal. This is the best place we have found for a great meal and at a great price. Dinner for three was around $ 55.

Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner the Mays Landing Diner is fantastic. I’ve tried a wide variety of options on the menu, and I can say that I’ve never had a bad meal from there. The portions are amazing for the price too! The Mays Landing Diner is a local restaurant that I definitely would recommend.

This is the third place I had something to eat at. I tried their classic cheeseburger deluxe it was very tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful with informing me on what things to do here in Mays Landing. The place inside was nice. I liked the mirror on the ceiling and the chandeliers above the table.

One of the best diners in South Jersey. The servers can be hit or miss, but the breakfast is especially delicious. My favorite, though, is the Greek salad– absolutely delish. Prices can’t be beat, either.

I get the same thing every time I come in: Greek salad. Sometimes with chicken, sometimes plain. No anchovies. The last 3 times I have been in, the salad hasn’t been properly prepared. I gave them the first two mishaps, as they blamed new kitchen staff. Tonight was strike three. Too far to drive for inconsistent food or service. My birthday dinner, too. Thanks guys.

This is what a diner should be !! Went here with my parents on Easter Sunday morning after church. My mother and I ordered the Farmer’s Omelet, which included ham, bacon, sausage, onions, diced tomatoes and green peppers. It was delicious and also came with a side or toast or muffin and hash browns. My dad ordered 3 fried eggs, french toast, sausage and hash browns. The service and price was great and as a nice surprise the Easter bunny showed up. Don’t change a thing!

Wow! On our way home from EHT my wife and I Unilocaled this location for a dinner stop and I cannot find anything derogatory to say. The reviews were spot on. The food was amazing; especially the homemade chicken pot pie. Do yourself a favor if you go here and treat yourself to that pot pie. My wife says the homemade baked goods(especially the macaroons) are incredibly awesome. Also, service was wonderful and top notch from our server, Michael.

This place makes you want to eat at a NJ diner. Great service. Friendly, attentive and fast. Great omelette(fresh spinach and feta). Would come here regularly if I don’t live 2.5 hours north.

For diner fare, this is pretty darn good. I came here for the second time this past Sunday afternoon. After we were promptly seated I was happy to see we’d have the same server, Joe, as we’d had our last visit. He is super quick, really friendly and knows everything about the menu. Being the Northeast Philly girl that I am, I ordered the lox & bagel, on an everything bagel of course, and Hubby has a belgian waffle and bacon. The food literally came out in 5 minutes and was perfectly prepared. Being the waffle aficionado that he is, he marveled at the perfect texture of this waffle for several minutes. It did look lovely. Slightly crispy on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside. My lox was perfect– very fresh and the bagel toasted well, just the way I like it. This is a great diner. They always seem to be busy because the food and service are awesome. Any of their Greek specialties are always a win too.

I came for breakfast after a fantastic weekend at A.C., and ended my trip to south Jersey on a high note with an equally fantastic breakfast., but it almost wasn’t to be… let me explain. It was the weekend after my birthday and I remembered I had an email from iHop saying I had a free rooty fa-looty thing-a-ma-jig and all I had to do was present my *printed* coupon to the cashier. Since I dont own a printer, and they emailed it to me, and they didn’t mail me a paper coupon, I figured this was a reasonable request, me being on a weekend vacation and all… Well folks short version of this digression is, I left the bland cookie cutter iSlop and their sham of a «free» offer they’d rather you not redeem, turned to my favorite app on Android, Unilocal, and I found this fantastic example of a fine N.J. diner, May’s Landing, and was shown what a REALBREAKFAST looks like, served by a really good wait staff in a fine(for an upscale diner) atmosphere where they took care to design the décor; heck, the M.L. diner even has dozens of fresh flowers and plants all about. Five stars for a real stack of pancakes and a real egg and sausage plate served with real homefries in their Mays Landing breakfast special platter. If you’re in south NJ, leaving Atlantic City, there’s no excuse to go to iHop over a fine diner like this, even if its your birthday and you happen to have a printer.
