Day’s Country Deli & Subs

The manager was quite rude and refused service merely after a potential customer asked whether WiFi was available.

Loved this place! If you frequent the BHP in south Jersey you’ve passed this place a million times, but maybe like me, have never stopped in. I just don’t deli much. Well, hubs had a hankering for cold cuts so I came here for lunch and to take home. Had an AWESOME corned beef Reuben. The atmosphere is super casual, and it’s a very cute little place to sit for a few over a delicious sammy. I’ll be back!

Well it sounds like that person just had a bad day. I stop by a few times and found the deli clean the people friendly and every one had on the sandwich gloves. As for the food, excellent! Day’s Deli keep up the good work.

Day’s is a great little gem just off of 322 (The Black Horse Pike) on the way back into town. I commute from the Atlantic City area to Philadelphia and back five days a week. Sometimes, I break up the journey by staying off the expressway and by taking 322 home. For miles, outside of the random and a sundry Wawa or other convenience store, there’s not much to see. And then, Day’s Deli pops up just on the outskirts of Mays Landing, about 5 miles from the Community College.
I tried the roast beef and cheese on a hoagie roll and was not disappointed. At 7 PM at night on a Tuesday, the bread was still reasonably fresh and the meat tasted as though it had just been sliced. What’s more important is how the staff treated me. At the time, there was still snow on the ground and I had a bit of a limp due to an injury at work. Without prompting, the gal behind the counter helped with the door which was a kindness that I didn’t expect.
I’ve gone back a few times now and tried their cheese steak and turkey sub. Both were of great quality and made at the time of order. I would definitely recommend Day’s if you’re heading back to town or if you just want to stop in for a quick bite. They have seating and a little fireplace which is charming for a general store style deli.

Love this new Deli. Very good quality sandwiches. Love the Reuben and the burgers are to die for. They are very particular and it shows. Charming atmosphere, very clean and very friendly. Glad we found them!

Wife had the grilled Rueben, she loved it! Large sandwich reasonable prices. 4 yo daughter had the grilled cheese sandwich and she liked it as well. And she is very discriminating as many 4yo are. I had the chicken cheesesteak. I liked it, good roll and the chicken was larger chunks that weren’t dried out. All in all a good experience and we will return.
