Friendly and enthusiastic employees and a great selection of ice cream!
The cherry pistachio is fantastic, and they have less-​common (but amazing!) flavors such as lavender and cherry bourbon.
$ 3.50 for a small (one scoop) cone or cup.
We’ve driven by a million times without stopping, but are so glad we finally tried it. We’ll definitely be back! :)

Solid Homemade Ice Cream with a Suburban touch!

Here you’ll find your usual suspects along with creative flavors based on various desserts (e.g., baklava, kulfi, and tiramisu). The ice cream texture is very think and creamy, which helps it from melting too quickly to savor. The honey and cinnamon was balances so nicely between the flavors. I was surprised at the lack of fudge in the peanut butter fudge as week as the faintness of the raspberry in the chocolate raspberry truffle.
Other items include ice cream cakes and sandwiches, flying saucers, dipped soft-​serve (which comes in many flavors), and pre-​packed pints.
The fun flavors and good texture is what kept the stars at 4. The only other thing, which is actually a positive but an inconvenience nonetheless, is the long line that is likely standing between me, samples, and my continued pursuit of the perfect ice cream.

There seems to be a constant line wrapping around this place however the ice cream was nonetheless a disappointment. Many of the flavors were excessively dyed leaving patrons’ mouths painted the colors of the rainbow. Also, the texture of the ice cream was very inconsistent. Portions of it were creamy and other bits frosted leaving an unpleasant icy crunch.

I live 90 minutes away from Magic Fountain and only get to go when my girlfriend and I are at her parents house for a weekend. It’s always on my list and never disappoints. Special flavors every day and the staples are always to die for. Smores, Honey Cinnamon, Dark Chocolate Raspberry Truffle, Cake Batter, etc. If you want DELICIOUS Ice Cream, then head here.

The best homemade ice cream. Worth the wait on line for a special treat. They don’t rush you while you taste and make a selection. Service is friendly and professional and they get the line moving. Prices are reasonable for the quality of ice cream served. Be careful the local yokels don’t run you over pulling in and out of the difficult parking lot, if you can call it that. Better to park across the street in the Waldbaums parking lot and walk over.

I’ve been coming here since I was knee high to a duck. Recently I went in to have a special cake made to reveal the gender of my sisters baby. They made the cake perfectly and our family loved it. The girl that helped me was very friendly and thoughtful.

What a place! I love their selection of homemade ice cream. There is not enough room to write all of the ice cream flavors they have in their freezers. The taste is very good. Not sure if ice cream can be fresh but if it can be then this ice cream is fresh. The price is very reasonable for the size you purchase. The staff was very nice and handled my large order like professionals. This might be the best homemade ice cream I have ever had. This is not your big chain ice cream parlor. The place has a local feel to it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a delicious scoop or scoops of homemade ice cream.

Excellent service! Tons of flavors to choose from. Very refreshing treat! We are fans of «Blizzards» and they have their own version with many toppings to choose from. The soft serve vanilla was creamy and had a great flavor. We will visit here again.

This place has great ice cream all home made and all fresh. You could spend all day looking at the ice cream. But still my favorite is soft served vanilla.
Be very careful in this parking lot even just driving by it all the citidiots pull in there and just pull out into the main road without looking. Your better off parking in across the street and walking over
Over the past 10 years of coming here the prices have also significantly increased. But hey I guess if people will pay it why not.
All in all amazing ice creams and cakes (even though they took the real cake out of their ice cream cakes now it’s just cookie crumbs) just bring a lot of cash. They also take MC and VISA but after spending ten bucks which is literally the price of one sundae so you should be okay there!

Magic Fountain is the best! SO many flavors to choose from. I’ve tried several and they are all great. They do plain old chocolate and vanilla right too. Definitely one of my favorite places to get ice cream here on the North Fork.

This place has a TON of flavors, as well as premade treats and frozen yogurt. We each got a scoop and it was VERY good. It tasted fresh.

If heading out to the North Fork of Long Island hitting the wine trail for a bit of wine tasting this spot makes for a great cold treat along the way.
Terrific ice cream! Salted caramel. So creamy. All homemade. Some standard and many unique flavors too. They have a bunch of awesome flavors here, and also have soft serve if that’s your thing, plus a bunch of stuff in the freezers to take home or back to your hotel room to glom on. Small spot with no tables inside but some outside bench seating by the parking lot.
So don’t fret if you pass by the other great ice cream joint, Snowflake, as you also have Magic Fountain futher down the road to score some equally good scoops.

I don’t always go on the North Fork Wine Trail, but when the day is done, one thing I know for sure is, I’m stopping at Magic Fountain!!!
Without fail another stop was made on the way home from another lovely day o the North Fork and boy did I make some family back home really happy that I brought back dessert!!!
My niece LOVES the Cookie Monster Ice Cream so of course her favorite aunt always has to bring some for her! :-)

Amazingggggg!!!
This place is super cute. Has dozens and dozens of homemade flavors. After trying a few, we settled on:
— s’more: great flavor, somehow it made the marshmallow texture feel incorporated into the entire ice cream. Lots of crunchy Graham cracker bits to give extra texture
— almond joy: loved this! Ice cream texture was really smooth and just had hints of coconut flavors hidden into it. Add in chocolate covered almonds it it was a real winner!
They also had lots of packed ice cream sandwiches and chocolate covered cones that I was dying to try. Price is vey reasonable– $ 4.50 for medium cup (would be double that in Manhattan). Plus there are a lot of benches outside for you to sit and enjoy your tasty treat :)

In what appears to be an old Dairy Queen, Magic Fountain prepares amazing homemade ice cream in many different flavors. After trying samples of flavors like Cookie Monster, English Toffee, and «Lots of Stuff,» I decided to get a small helping of Raspberry Dream, and Cake Mix — which was the perfect combo. Don’t let the line fool you — it moves quickly and the staff are great.
As an added bonus, they make treats for dogs, too!
