After finding this wine at a local restaurant, I knew that on my next trip out to NOFO wine country, I would be stopping here… and I’m so glad that I did! I’m in love with the place! Being intrigued originally by the White Merlot, hubs and I walked into this quiet, quaint winery and were promptly greeted by Julia, who made us feel very welcome on the coldest of February days. Since we were the only ones there at the time, she was very knowledgeable about all of the Bridge Lane wines, and explained in great detail about each one. We ended up purchasing more wine then I originally intended to do, and that’s really not a bad thing, since they sell delicious wines in a BOX that last up to a month!(how it lasts a month, I don’t know, 3 days after breaking the seal on mine I’m starting to lick the box liner!!) The box equals 4 bottles of wine!!! They also sell wine by the keg!(awesome for parties!!) I can’t wait to come back in the warmer weather and experience Bridge Lane for all that it has to offer. I almost went back to Bridge Lane on the way back home, after going to an crazy busy winery after lunch, just because I loved the quaintness of it all!!! So Yes, I will totally be back!!! CHEERS!

I already posted a few pictures, but I wanted to talk about this place. Someone I know(knew?) mentioned how they loved their wine after tasting it at wine riot. So I decided to make a day of visiting a few wineries on the NOFO that I haven’t been to before. There actually are some! Just adored this place. Small-ish on the inside but decorated really nice. The tasting consisted of 3 whites, 1 rose and a red. And I actually loved ALL of them! We purchased as bottle of Chardonnay($ 15!) and a large cheese platter $ 20 and sat outside at one of the picnic tables. So perfect. I didn’t want the day to end. And the cheese platter? From lombardis market on love lane. The best! I will most definitely be back!

Beautiful tasting room with a nice outdoor area. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area(and the wine of course). We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and they had a great acoustic band playing. I loved the Chardonnay and Rosé!

After our tasting at MC, we came here for lunch with our own food. The young ladies were very friendly and accomodating(allowed our limo in the lot with no reservations needed). It is close to a main road(thus the 4 stars), but the atmosphere was still fairly relaxing and we all enjoyed the wines we purchased.

Jules is amazing. She is attentive and amazing. This is way better then going to their main headquarters of Leib. I highly recommend coming here. We wouldn’t ever end our trip in any other way. Alissa and Jules are more knowledge than every other winey out on the northfork. We highly highly recommended this winery and seeing them!!!

As new wine club members, we tried out the tasting room at Cox Neck Rd. this time. It is a small room attached to a factory building handling different wines from the area. The stand out was our pourer, a young blonde woman — and I’m mad that I can’t positively remember her name. I think it was Alyssa. She had just gotten back from learning about the sparkling wine process and told us about it. We enjoyed our time there tasting wine and discussing everything with her. She was very knowledgeable and we wound up purchasing a bottle of bubbly to serve on Mother’s Day as well as a couple of other Lieb favorites. We’ll be back!

Must STOP here. Dan was excellent source of information and education about this winery and others along the north fork. Excellent Pinot blanc and at great prices. Enjoyed one of the bottles we purchased on the picnic grounds.

Lieb is a not-so-crowded spot next to a stripmall on Sound Avenue. The tasting room is small, though they allow you to do your tastings outside. I liked that there were about 6 flights to choose from. BUT… The wine is incredibly expensive and half of it tasted like band-aids to me. The security guard there is crazy nice and helpful and watched our bikes for us while we went inside. But, speaking of a security guard… there’s a security guard there… that seems to me to be a bit of a problem. Why do you need security at your vineyard? If you do, I’m going to guess you attract some crummy folks. Anyway, worth a stop? Meh… I think it’s skip-able.

I have a week-end home in the North Fork of Long Island, and I will simply say I have been to all the tasting rooms on the east end, and this is my favorite — their tasting room located on Oregon Road. Run, do not walk, to this place — a rustic location, very hip, incredible and unique wines… amazingly warm staff and very knowlegable, engaging and incredible, incredible wines. I have been to every tasting room on the east end and it is the first ‘wine club’ I have joined — need I say more? I think not.

After about a year long obsession with Lieb Pinot Blanc my friends and I finally had the opportunity to visit this cozy and hip tasting room. Since we got a late start on our little wine tasting adventure, we were THRILLED to find out their tasting room is open until 7pm on Sundays! The atmosphere was perfect… great music and an awesome & knowledgeable tasting staff. The pinot blanc is still my #1 with it’s crisp & clean taste but the Syrah would be my choice of red! :)

Okay wine, nothing out of this world. The warehouse looks big, but only a small section near the front is open to the public, which is a small tasting area. Inside the tasting area are 4 standing tables to taste at, and several stools at the U-shaped bar area. The ambiance is somewhat drab and boring and doesn’t really generate buzz or excitement to drink wine. So you’re probably thinking to take your bottle outside to the picnic tables, and listen to the live band. Sadly, you are not allowed to take your bottles outside. If you order a bottle, you must go in to get your glass refilled. However, one plus is that they keep your bottle of wine chilled and labeled, so there is no confusion. Then you can go back out to play croquet or listen to the live band. Another thing I was wary about was the proximity of the main road, where you can see cars whizzing by. It doesn’t exactly feel cozy and private.

Ah, Lieb. We were lured to Lieb by their white merlot which one of our local wine stores carries. The wine is good, but unfortunately the experience of visiting the tasting room does not do justice to the wine. There were good values to be found in the Merlot and Rose. I had the tasting that was paired with chocolate, a great idea for February. The chocolates paired wonderfully with the wine. The tasting was served on a McDonald’s style plastic tray with tray cover that told you how to taste the wine with the chocolate in four different places, but didn’t provide a description of the wine. The set-up of the tasting room was a bit awkward with the tall bar style tables laid out in such a way that if even half of the tables have people at them it is difficult to move around the room. The finishes are dated. I always enjoy visiting new places. Now I’ve been to Lieb and can stick to buying their wines at the store.

Awful tasting wines; I’ve had better grape juice from Welch’s. Awful marketing strategy. They’re making money off the dead of September 11th. Lieb is the epitome of the phrase«War profiteer». In horrible taste, buy a bottle of their awful wine at $ 9.11 and they’ll donate $ 0.91 to a charity. Bad news Lieb, your wine sucks and you’re marketing is reprehensible.

A really nice little winery. The wines are good, though not incredible. The guy working there was extremely nice… down to earth and not at all snobby. The only place to sit and drink a bottle, however, is right next to the highway. Too bad.
