First time here after driving past this place for two years. It was very busy at 5:00pm on a Friday evening and there was a wait to get a table inside so we opted to sit outside even though it was cool evening with temperatures falling into the lower 60’s. Still a wait to get a table of the many tables on their outside patio tiki deck right near the waterfront. The hostess was so nice and polite helping us out that we were ahead of the pack coming in after us. We waited only 10 minutes it seemed and were seated right in front of the stage with the band playing. The music was a perfect volume and not overly loud I must add… and I love the Classic Rock and Blues that they were playing. First to come out were Scallops wrapped in bacon which were definitely delicious. Also understanding it was busy, but white wine served in a small plastic cup? Their Ravioli with shrimp and crab in a light sauce and Lobster Macaroni & cheese were very good and the portions were large enough to have leftovers in to go boxes! Service continued to be excellent the entire visit. And the band played on the entire meal. The heat lamps eliminated any chill from the dropping temperatures. Will be back again!

Love this place. Seafood is fresh fresh fresh. I always get the seafood platter. It is fried which is something I don’t usually eat but it is NOT greasy. Love the live music. Love the outdoor seating. Just love this place. Drove up from Naples just to chow down.

I looked at the reviews and affirmed my faith that restaurant reviews are like the Olympics. Throw out the high and low and you have somewhere near the truth The highs are pretty accurate in this case. I have been to Miceli’s several times and found the food good and service above average. My only complaint is that the oysters are very small. They taste good but a half dozen is not a sufficient appetizer. Then there are the low reviewers. Sorry to those of you that post negatives but after reading many i doubt if there is anything that would please most of you. The comments are largely snide or simply that you have an exceptional pallet and nothing with ever be good enough for you To those is you that are looking for a decent, reasonable place to eat, maybe listen to music and be on the water you won’t how ring here.

Fish was fresh, server was on point, entertainment was just right, food was just as good, and this is a real Florida waterfront dining experience.

Thoughts and Tips: Great waterfront location providing the opportunity to dine outside or inside. They have entertainment outside at times and it can be quite loud. Our first dining experience New Year’s weekend(inside) led us to this conclusion. Having said that, I think it would be fun to sit outside near the water once it gets a bit warmer than today’s 59 degrees. Miceli’s has a casual vibe and gives the feeling they’ve been around a long time. This COULD be a place for date night, particularly if you sat outside and were away from the music enough to still be able to talk. This is a popular venue. I would be shocked to arrive and not find it busy, as the parking lot is full every time we drive past. Despite that, we’ve been seated within minutes of arriving both times we’ve come. It costs more to dine here that other places. Then again, other places aren’t on the way to Matlacha, on the water, and provide live entertainment. When looking at the whole experience, the price paid is a good value. We’ve had good and really good service during our two visits. We’re still working our way through the large menu. Keeping that in mind… The High Points: Crab & Shrimp Ravioli: 5 Stars Jumbo ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese and topped with shrimp and crab meat scampi sauce. Wowzers! Definitely worth a splurge once in a while. Unlimited Garlic Bread: Excellent and tasty. This comes with the pasta entrees(may come with other dinner entrees too). Angus Cheeseburger: 4.5 Stars per my husband That is all. Sorry, he’s a man of few words. Onion Rings: Perfectly prepared, tasty and a generous portion. My husband enjoyed them and they looked so good I tried one from his plate. Yum! I’m picky about onion rings. These are excellent. The Low Points: We haven’t experienced anything we would consider a low point. So far, really good. Other menu options we’ve tried have been 3 stars, A-ok and nothing to complain about. Final Assessment: We’ve found some things we REALLY like and some things that are okay. Averaging these experiences, Miceli’s gets 4 Stars and we’ll be back for more.

This place is a popular joint for a reason — excellent waterfront location with parking for boats, hearty food, and friendly staff. Heck, they even brought out a bowl of water for Fido when we were there! On my recent visit, we sat outside. It was a beautiful but brisk day, and we started out under the shelter of the outdoor patio. When a table in the sun vacated, the server was gracious and accommodating to let us move over to that warmer table. Apparently their clam chowder is a well-known specialty, and the bite of my companion’s that I had was filling, savory, and well-flavored. I’m not a huge clam chowder fan but would order this one if I wanted a warm bite on a chilly day. For my own entrée, I ordered the bada bing salad with calamari. Bada bing is the sweet and savory sauce that comes with the calamari, and it was all over a bed of fresh greens. It was a veritable mountain of perfectly-cooked calamari, with a crisp and savory crust on the outside of each ring. I shared it around the table before diving in myself and found that the portion size was more than abundant. This is one restaurant in the Pine Island area that you won’t want to miss!

We stopped in for a quick snack after spending the day on the beach and ended up staying for full dinner and drinks. The food was great(especially the hog wings, the clams and the tiramisu is out of this world!) and the servers were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

Ended up at Miceli’s twice in one day while down in Cape Coral on vacation. Once for lunch and again that night for dinner. We had great meals both times! Bada Bing sauce is amazing! You gotta try it on any one of the options– chicken shrimp or calamari. Also the bruschetta bread appetizer was a meal in itself! Great atmosphere and superb service! Just a tip– don’t sit on the patio if you don’t like the smokers and the loud band. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I went for a late lunch yesterday, we sat outside under the tiki hut. The service was great and the food was really good. I had the shrimp scampi with salad and garlic bread and no complaints! It was hot and tasty. The atmosphere was nice and they had live entertainment. Will surely be back again!

Great location and view is where the«great» experience stopped. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer, Just a beer. Almost 20 minutes and no drinks and after watching the bartender serve others around us, We just decided to leave. To bad, heard decent things.

Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat. First some chit chat and why I am giving it 5 stars. They offered a 25 buck buffet for turkey day… This is a place that’s located on the waterway in which you can pull up and berth your dingy. They had lots of outside umbrella covered tables. There was lots of booths and table inside. The personnel… WOW… everyone was very nice with great big smiles. happy like Stepford wives would be.(maybe it was the added 18% gratuity being enclosed today. LOL…but worth it) I was warned to get here early… I did… They open early. 15 minutes before the schedule 11AM time. (note by 1130AM it was getting filled up) So I staked out my table and dug in. They had a carving table of prime rib cooked to the perfection of medium rare. It was sliced thin, but you could, and I did make 3 return visits. The au jus was delightful, but unfortunately the horseradish sauce was too watery. Good but watery. I sampled the dark turkey, white turkey and the ham. Except for the ham which was a touch on the dry, though in a sweet sauce. Everything was delish. the dressing, sweet potatoes, mash potatoes, cookies, clams, pumpkin pies. The management stop by my table and ask for my criticism. Which I gave. I made my customary 3 grazing trips at the buffet.(you need to get your money’s worth and belly filled) It was so worth it. By the time I left, the place was filling up and the parking was full. I will definitely be back and try the regular items. You all need to come on down!!!

Recommended by the folks we rented the cottage from. Much better than the overall rating suggests, and better than some others places nearby we visited. We had spinach dip and crab cakes as appetizers. The crab cakes were really good, no fillers. I had a seafood pasta dish, chock fool of shrimp clams and calamari. My wife had mahi mahi, and the kids had pasta dishes. All are well prepared and tasty. Draft beer selection could have been a little more comprehensive.

An diesen Platz kommen wieder gerne wieder.

Fabulous. The beer is ice cold, the oysters are fresh shucked and the food is amazing. Had the ahi tuna salad. Large portion of tuna and fresh veggies. Dressing is awesome. Bang bang shrimp is great but rich. Great appetizer to share. Peel and eat shrimp were seasoned wonderfully and cooked perfect. The shrimp scampi is loaded with shrimp and very good but again, it is a very rich dish. Enough to share or take home. Love this place. My favorite in Matlacha.

First of all the location is great and the view is good but I really thought because of the name it was a great Italian place. Not so much. I have eaten here before and sampled the sea food baskets and pizza which were good. Today however we were wanting Italian. My husband had the veal parm even though the veal was good the sauce was not so good. I had the shrimp scampi but was disappointed because it lacked any flavor. But I still like this place because of the fried menu items and the service is really good. Super cheap drinks.

They have a big selection of your basic bar food. The tuna wasn’t of the best quality, not that I would expect it to be in this kind of place. The view outside is nice and the staff is great.

Stopped in at Micheli’s yesterday, a Thursday evening for dinner. Was pleasantly surprised to find a large outdoor patio covered by a tiki tent with live music on the canal. Talk about great ambiance and great way to spend the afternoon with family and friends. Our server was very friendly and attentive to our needs. We ordered calamari and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. The calamari was perfectly fried and was served with a garlic ranch dipping sauce. The stuffed mushrooms were good but there was nothing really special about them. I ordered a frozen margarita because it was on the happy hour menu. All drinks other than water are served in plastic solo cups. Not my favorite but I understand they do not want glass breaking on the back patio. For dinner I ordered the Crab and Shrimp Ravioli. Yum, Yum, Yum. The ravioli was stuffed with ricotta cheese and covered in creamy scampi sauce. There was crab and shrimp sprinkled on the top of the dish. It was absolutely delicious… just be prepared to wear sweat pants or yoga pants for this meal because I felt like I gained five pounds after eating this ravioli dish. In general, the portions run on the larger side at Micheli’s so there will always be leftovers to take home for the next day. Overall, good food, friendly service, and a great outdoor dining space to spend with family and friends.

First time here loved it second time here the service, the wine, and the food disappointed. Sorry folks but I believe the server makes a significant difference in a patron’s dining experience. Starting — my other order a cold draft which was delivered and it was perfect. I ordered a glass of the Italian red but said I’d like to order something else if the bottle had been open for awhile.(Remember that.) My wine was delivered… so cold it had condensation on the plastic cup… red wine… plus it smelled. Rubber hose, skunk, and sewer all rolled into one icy plastic cup. It reeked. I mentioned it to the server and she said I could order something else so I went with a known NorCal favorite Cab which she delivered and it was fine. Unfortunately, the server showed her, and apparently the entire restaurant staff’s enology ignorance when she said that the first glass had been from a bottle that had only been open for two days(meaning it was on it’s third day… ick) and that the entire staff tasted it and they all thought it was fine but everyone had their own tastes in wine. E-gads! I nodded politely thinking to myself how true that statement was. Medium rare burger was medium well and the veal parm with penne was so bad I could only eat a few bites… pasta was served cold and crunchy on the ends. I’m sure that’s not what al dente means, right? Took the veal home and gave to my neighbor’s dog. I thought I was going to be a regular at this place and recommend to a lot of people but they truly disappointed. Still left a tip over 20%.

Ducked in for brunch on a Friday with the family and it was an average experience. Here’s why: * Our waiter, Peter, was ambivalent and seemingly distracted * The French Dip«special» was $ 10 bucks and about as average as they come The meat in the sammy was a little on the fatty side and certainly tough. And it didn’t fill out the bread. FAIL. The Au Jus was bland. We got two orders of the smoked fish dip(bland) and had to ask for extra crackers. They serve the dip with the little individually wrapped 2-sets of crackers. Most of the crackers had been mishandled and were not whole. I hate that. And they didn’t serve enough of them. Full liquor, on a waterway with outside seating but no exterior bar. The interior bar was starting to fill up in the afternoon, and the bartender was a cutie, so I need to go back and scout that scene. The highlight of the visit was the hostess with her perfectly sculpted buttocks and yoga pants. That may bring me back. If I come back, I’m trying another dish. Cabeza OUT!

Visiting my parents in Florida, we always go out to eat & try they places they frequent. They’re fans of Miceli’s. The restaurant is located on the way out to Pine Island and Matlacha. It’s on one of the waterways, and they’ve got a large patio area with a small stage for live music. We showed up around 7pm and decided to dine outside. We were told 25 – 30 minutes but it only took about 5 minutes to get our table on the patio. Our server was very sweet and fast. The signage on the table said that happy hour prices were from 11−7pm, it was 7:20pm so I asked if the sangria was still $ 3.50 a «mug». She said yes so I ordered on of those. The sangria arrived and it tasted more like fruit punch with a little alcohol in it then wine with fresh squeezed fruit. Also, it came in a small, plastic cup. Smaller than the cups the draft beer came in that we’re also listed as «mug» in size. If I were you, I wouldn’t order the«sangria». We decided on some fried artichoke hearts. I’m glad we did because they were SOYUMMY. They had a dipping sauce that was garlic aioli. Get them. I ordered the calzone with pepperoni and mushrooms. Be careful with ordering because it’s $ 9 for the calzone and $ 1 for each topping. I think they should do maybe premium toppings for a dollar and the others for 50 cents or something. I was able to try the Caesar salad and it was good. Fair warning, don’t salt the Caesar salad, it’s plenty salty. They bring a garlic bread to the table which is quite delicious. I think it might be unlimited because we got two loaves of the stuff. The calzone came and it was HUGE. I didn’t think it would be this big. I was able to only eat half of it before asking for a box. The calzone was great, lots of cheese, and not just all mozzarella, but tons of ricotta cheese. I wished they’d had a little more toppings inside. I had a lot of pepperoni, but not many mushrooms. They had a woman outside with a guitar, signing. I’m not sure if she was on the microphone too much or what, but it was hard to understand the songs she was singing. I could’ve taken it or left it. I more so liked the outside dining. We went back two days later because we were in the area & had gotten a 20% off coupon from the Captain Jack Boat fishing tour. I ordered the Italiano pizza, small & it was great. A little salty but that’s probably because of all the meats.
