I am new to the area so I was very nervous about going to a new nail salon. The salon appears to be clean and they had a decent selection of OPI/Essie nail polish. The woman who did my nails(Faith?) was very nice to talk to and did a great job, even though my nails were in such bad shape. I will be going back.

Being a staunch DIY kind of gal, going to Rapunzel was something I did purely on a whim — but based on the lovely experience I had there I’m awfully tempted to go back. I had some time to kill one afternoon and decided to get a manicure(for the first time ever!) but as I was waiting I realized that I was probably due for a haircut too. I usually go to very no-nonsense places that are closer to barber shops than anything else, so I was very unused to and frankly skeptical of the whole salon thing.(Think bull in a china shop.) Fortunately, my hairdresser Stephanie was incredibly laid-back and friendly and immediately put me at ease. I’m not the most social person but found myself talking up a storm with her. Such a cool lady. I didn’t get a complex cut by any means, just a trim with some long layers, but she gave it the utmost care and it looked and felt great afterwards. I don’t remember the name of the gal who did my manicure — Jen maybe? — all I know is that I couldn’t stop staring at my nails afterwards because they looked so amazing. It’s now been a week and they still look wonderful — and this is after multiple martial arts classes, going to the gym, washing the dishes, typing all the time, etc. Not having much experience with salons I wasn’t entirely sure what kind of prices to expect, but $ 40 for a wash and cut and $ 14 for a manicure seemed more than reasonable considering the great quality and warm service. Will definitely return.
