This is a very reasonably priced place to stay in Matagorda. The rooms are very nice, and the owners are just wonderful. The patio is fantastic & it has a nice neighbourhood vibe. Check it out some time.

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend. Our room was spotless and very comfortable the grounds were fresh clean and inviting and the staff was beyond so pleasant we look forward to staying with y’all again thank you so much thumbs up I recommend this to families as well

This place is great if you want absolutely no frills, piping hot water in the day, very cold water at night and a hotelier with all the charm of a slapped skunk. Don’t go if you’re a wade fisher or a fisher, period, as you’ll be scolded like a schoolkid for bringing in any sand. No pets and no cooking appliances allowed besides the microwave in the room, but that’s understandable for insurance requirements. The bedding is somewhat scratchy, but not terribly so. More cheap cotton than rough wool. TVs are tiny and selection limited, but that’s not important if you’re just there to fish.
