I have been going to Dr. Alexander for many years now. Family members as well as many of our friends. He is well liked by all of them. Dr. Alexander spends a as much time with you as needed. He’s compassionate, caring and attentive. Recently, my husband had some tests taken and Dr. A called him & spent a great deal of time speaking to him and went out of his way to refer us to another specialist(since we had issues with the one we were using). About 5 years ago my son was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital emergency for a Brain Hemorrhage. I was so frightened I asked the hospital to reach Dr. Alexander for me. It was 2:00 in the morning and my son had to be transported to Winthrop Hospital. I just needed to tell Dr Alexander what was happening and he called me back which gave me some comfort, since I was panic stricken and didn’t know what to think of the whole thing. He was my son’s primary care Dr too. I can’t praise this doctor enough. We have always been very pleased with him and I would highly recommend him to anyone! Thank you Dr Alexander, for all you do and for being the great person that you are. Maryanne E.

Dr. Alexander(so far), seems to be a pretty good Doctor(kind, attentive, takes his time with you, doesn’t treat you like a number, makes you feel like he cares, etc.) –Which is why I will put up with a RUDERECEPTIONIST. However, I consider the Whole Experience when I’m reviewing. That includes interactions with ALLSTAFF. Today, I was hung up on while I was on hold. When I pointed it out, there was NO apology. I had to call back several times to get an actual Person. They are an EXTREMELY Busy Office. You will get their Voice Mail & have to leave a Message. It does seem like they check the messages pretty quickly, so it doesn’t appear to be a problem as of yet. If you’re a new Patient, be prepared to wait MONTHS for an Appointment. If you’ve been there already, the wait isn’t terrible. Your actual Appointment, expect to wait at least an Hour before the Doctor will see you. I honestly don’t know what is with Dr.‘s Offices. Is it that hard to Schedule People with an accurate Time? They overbook everywhere. It is ridiculous. I bring something to read, which helps pass the time. They have the most obnoxiously loud TV on, with only Health related Programming. I find it very distracting. When I was there last, The Doctor walked me out to the Front Desk, notified the Front Desk to book my follow up in 6 months. 6MONTHS! What?! In retrospect, I’m wondering why. He knew I had pressing issues that needed to be taken care of, so I am puzzled. The Doctor & I were talking, the Receptionists were busy & somehow I left with No Follow Up Appointment! I was expecting a Reminder Call, which I never got, so it seems as if it could be pretty unorganized, if you’re not on top of them. It’s obviously partly my fault for not realizing it sooner. They also had my Test Results back & I wasn’t notified. I had to keep calling to request them. They couldn’t find them one time. Another attempt & they only had one. Then they finally had them & I had to request they be mailed to me. Meanwhile, the Dr. Told me that he reviews them, writes notes on them & they will be mailed to me. — All of which did not happen, except the mailing part — at my request. There were NO notes from him. Huh? Back to my most recent interaction: When I explained that I wanted to have Blood Tests Ran for my Next Appointment, The RECEPTIONIST advised me to Fast. The RECEPTIONIST! I wasn’t aware that Receptionists went to Medical School as well. When I asked if the Dr. had an Assistant I could speak to, she was testy, short & asked«what for?» I said«to confirm that I need to Fast, because some Blood Tests don’t require a Fast.» She went on to explain how she had«been there for 19 Years! and that she knew!» Well, I was sure put in my place! LMAO Are you kidding me Lady?! Wow. What an obnoxious, nasty Lady. I think Jerry was her name. What a yucky experience. Why is it so GD difficult to find a Good Doctor with a Good Staff? — You know: Kind, Intelligent, Attentive, NON-ABRASIVE. Unbelievable.
