I came here a few times and each time the service was excellent. For being open for almost two years, they’re doing pretty well for themselves. The wine selection is excellent, the homemade sangria is wonderful especially their new mojito pineapple sangria. The bartenders are very friendly and are attentive enough where they’re not overly on top of you while you’re there. Cheese platters are a must. Overall I would definitely recommend to a friend and will be coming back soon! Thanks Michaelangelo’s!

I was a little disappointed with this place. I came here because I saw a picture on their facebook of the pineapple mojito sangria, it wasn’t was I expecting. I didn’t even taste pineapple! But first of all, it was a good 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged at the door when we walked in and she ended up telling us to just sit wherever we want anyway. We got the sangria flight, which they told us is generally white, red, rose, and now the pineapple, however, they were out of the rose, which was fine except that they still charged us $ 25 for the other 3 and they were a very small size for that much money… not worth it. The food was pretty good though. We got a meat/cheese board but they screwed up and gave us an extra cheese instead of the chorizo we ordered. We also ordered the burrata flat bread and mozzarella bites… which were literally a bite, good but also not worth the money. You can get fresh mozzarella anywhere for a much better portion to price ratio. We also got the nutella panini for dessert which was pretty good. Overall I think the place is over priced for what they give you & the service isn’t that great. The waitress was nice but not very attentive. There are better wine bars out there.

I was expecting so much more out of this wine bar. It’s hardly a wine bar, not a lot of options. My girlfriends and I went last night and when we walked in, waited 10 minutes just to be acknowledged. The bartender/waitress was on her cell phone a lot of the time I was there. I too am a waitress at a wine bar and let me tell you, this would not be tolerated at my place. There was 1 table of ladies outside just us inside for a majority of the night. We waited so long for her to come back to our table each time. We were really looking forward to the sangria flights, but were told that they were out of the Rose. No problem, we still wanted to order them. The only problem, we were charged the same price… Which in my option was extremely overpriced. In fact, the entire menu is overpriced. We ordered a meat and cheese platter which came out wrong. They fixed it right away which was good. The portions are very small for the prices they charge. I’m including a picture of the sangria flight I saw on their Facebook page, compared to the sangria flight I actually received. Very disappointing. If you’re looking for a good wine bar, check out vintage wine bar and bistro in Farmingdale — a much better bang for your buck.

Ehhhh, good idea for a bar but prices are very high for what you get. If you advertise whiskey and have top shelf the pours need to be more then a smell and it’s gone. Second if the owner is going to pop behind the bar stop open mouth coughing and maybe put a clean shirt on or iron the dirty tee you have on.

I have been here several times. There’s a reason why this place is not always bumping like barrique or salumi. The quality of the cheese is just not up there. One time when I ordered mozzarella, it was the little mozzarella balls that you can get in a jar at Cosco. The atmosphere is really calm and welcoming and nice. But the prices don’t match the quality. There are other things on the menu that are really good like the bruschetta. Their sangria is pretty good. I will be back for the atmosphere and the close location to me, but I usually only go if I don’t feel like driving to Babylon.

Comparable to spuntino and plancha as being a midscale tapas/wine bar but does not live up to the other two. The décor is not up to par with these other similarly styled restaurants as well. The cheese and meat platter was excellent and was the highlight of the meal yet the greak salad and Rolando sandwich were subpar. Overall a decent meal and adequate if solely going for a meat and cheese board and some wine.

Walking in you think«oh wow this is really cute!» Aaand that’s about where it ends. The menu prices are up there, the price of a board seems a bit exsessive for what you get. The bartender was sweet. There is no happy hour special. There is nothing other than beer, wine and whiskey. I get the concept and it’s no issue because wine and beer are my thing. As Mala said, there is nothing on the drink list that really sets them apart. I got a glass of Lagunitas IPA which has always been a winner in my book. Ryan originally wanted a tanquery and tonic but there’s no gin. He got the sledgehammer zin instead. Pretty fruity, not very tannic. Not really his style, but he drank it. We ended up just getting a Ronaldo panini. It’s was delicious and had a little kick to it, the spiced vinegar they marinate the eggplant in is definitely unique. We arrived around 5 so parking wasn’t an issue but I can see it getting tough later on in that area. If I’m being honest I feel like they can do a bit more to really hit the nail on the head. They have a solid location and a great idea, but this area loves vodka. Broadening their bar and setting up a special happy hour would probably do them wonders. Would try again if I had to.

This place could be so much better with actual service. I came here on a Tuesday night. We were a group of three and about seven ladies at the bar. Our«waitress» was also our bartender and focused more on the bar and a situation with tables outside than our group. It took almost a half hour for our appetizer which was six mini mozzarella balls wrapped in prosciutto. Really? Then I ger an attitude because my debit card kept declining. No sweetie, it was because you swiped it thirty six times. The only thing that saved this place was the white sangria. We didnt get a thank you or goodbye when we left. Get a better staff. Learn professionalism.

I really love this place. This place has such a cute and warm atmosphere to just either hang out with friends or go on a date. Usually my boyfriend doesn’t like wine bars because, they’re to girly for him but he loves this one! He loves it mostly because they have great options with bourbon flights haha. They also have a great wine selection for me. We ordered the prosciutto bruschetta and the arugula flat bread and both were delicious. The staff is always so attentive and they always make us feel welcome. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

This is one of my favorite places since its opening. It’s beautifully decorated, warm & comfortable. Everyone from the staff to the customers are friendly which just makes it so inviting & makes you want to go back. It’s delicious from the drinks to the food. The winter sangria was not only delicious but so pretty! Awesome selection of wine & whiskey. The cheese & meat boards are my favorite along with several panninis & the bread is to die for! Everything is tasty! My favorite place to go with a date or my friends!

Very cute place, calm, cool and collective ambience. If you like dark spaces and acoustic covers this is the place for you. They also have a brick wall for all you instagrammers who just love a good brick wall. The lighting was borderline too dark, I was squinting to see my boyfriends face! If you were to pick a spot to go on a first date with someone you’ve just met on the internet, and perhaps you’ve lied about your age, or are not as attractive in person as you are in photos, you should pick this place! We went on one of the coldest nights of February, and the place was rather chilly inside but thats about the only complaint I’ve got. The food was good! We each had a panini, and they were very tasty! Fresh crunchy bread, juicy chicken. The food was priced pretty cheaply, the wine and drinks is what can be expensive! That’s how they getcha! Overall, we had a very nice evening at this spot!

Visit date: Thursday January 7, 2016 around 5:45pm. The best part about Michelangelos is the spot itself. Really pretty inside with a decently spacious bar, dim lighting, candles, all the works. It’s a bit small but calm, cozy, and rustic nonetheless. The type of atmosphere you’d be looking for at a wine bar without being too intimidating or pretentious. However, this establishment is lacking in so many other areas that I find it difficult to call it a «wine bar» I had a glass of riesling and my friend enjoyed her merlot as well. The wine selection was basic and didn’t have anything particularly different to set them apart. Normally, wine bars(like breweries) have craft options that you won’t typically find everywhere you go. Anyways, onto the food. We shared a small cheese board. They have a few pre built boards or you can assemble your own picking 2, 3, or 5 meat/cheeses. I forget the exact pricing, which conveniently is not listed on the online menu but I did notice it was more expensive than Salumi(another wine bar in Massapequa which FAR surpasses this spot in terms of selection/quality and truthfully, every other aspect of the dining experience) Anyways, we opted to pick our own and the cheeses were generally all pretty good. But that’s because I enjoy both artisan cheese as well as cheese from like, Trader Joe’s. Again, selection was very basic which may be what they were going for but why would I come to a wine bar and pay more to eat cheese that I can buy at the supermarket for a fraction of the cost? Nevertheless, we finished what we did order but as a recommendation, I would say go to Salumi instead. I also had the ciutto panini(prosciutto di parma, fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil, and a side of balsamic). It was good. The bread from the panini as well as the bread from the cheese board was better than most — I think it’s the sea salt that did it. From what I’ve heard, they have this bread delivered fresh from a bakery. Also, my friend enjoyed her avocado salad. Service — disappointing. Our server was nice but not attentive or genuine in the least. Everything took a very long time even though there were only two other tables and a couple at the bar. And it’s not that she wasn’t present, because she was definitely around, she just avoided eye contact and seemed to dilly dally and do things on her own time which got frustrating. I asked for a glass of water but didn’t get it until maybe 20 – 30 minutes later — which would’ve been more reasonable if she was running around super busy and maybe forgot. But she was walking around aimlessly, standing behind the bar, chatting, etc… and then eventually came back over. I understand that a lot of wine bars aim to provide a specific atmosphere where you feel comfortable to stay for a while and not rushed or constantly interrupted by the server, but still taken care of when necessary. They definitely fell short here. ALSO, my credit card was charged the wrong amount($ 16 more!) Now that was probably an honest mistake on the server’s part but it just made an already mediocre experience worse as well as an unnecessary hassle on my part to have to call after checking my statement to get it straightened out. The girl I spoke to on the phone(may have been the same server) was not apologetic either. I sensed a slight attitude/annoyance and she made it seem like I was the one inconveniencing her… unprofessional. Now Michaelangos certainly isn’t a bad choice but they still have a lot of quirks to work out if they want to call themselves a wine bar. Especially when they’re charging Manhattan prices deep on Long Island for subpar wine/food. I would not willingly come back because although my panini was good, their menu lacks uniqueness, creativity, and *any* desire to try more. There are far better options if you’re looking for a true wine bar experience, e.g. Salumi, Plancha, Spuntino’s, Viaggio(all in Nassau as well).

Such a calm and cool place to be where you can relax and unwind. I’ve came here a twice, once just to try it out but the food and service was so great I came here to celebrate my ONEYEARANNIVERSARY. Woohoo! its a little but cute wine bar so I made reservations, thankfully because when we got here the all of the tables were taken. The hostess and waitress were so kind and really made our second visit extra special. The Greek salad I very good, along with the cheese board. The All A board is huge! The grill cheese sandwich is pretty good and The white Sangria is the best I’ve ever had… No joke.

I really like this place! My fiancé and I came here after dinner for a little drink and it was a great decision. I’m impressed with the décor they’ve adorned this place with. It’s very elegant and romantic but is nice for a girls night out, too. I love that they constantly have specials. We were there on a Tuesday and select bottles of wine were $ 18. What was even nicer was that they were quick to offer to cork the bottle for us if we didn’t finish! The bottle we had was lovely and a great value considering they usually sold the bottle for over $ 30! We also decided to split the Nutella panini. What an excellent decision that was! Smooth chocolate, crispy oily bread, and a touch of salt to bring it all together. It was great. I want to come on a Wednesday and try their half priced appetizers! And of course, more wine!
