Isabella’s Italian Ices & Ice Cream

Where have you been all my liiiife?
They have a huge selection of ice creams and ices and I’m sure all of them are delicious. I was a little overwhelmed looking at everything, but the girls at the counter were patient and let us sample a bunch of things.
I went for their sweet ice creams, and my boyfriend went for their fruity ices. Here’s what we got:
— Honeydew Ice: sooooo good! And so refreshing on hot days. I can definitely taste the honeydew flavor.
— Orange Ice: well, it tasted like orange! Next to the honeydew, this one just tasted okay.
— Cappuccino Chunk: the chunks are espresso! Coffee is one of my favorite flavors, and this one did not disappoint. The cappuccino flavor is rich, and all the espresso chunks only helped it.
— Smores: I’m a sucker for anything Smores. The ice cream had chunks of chocolate and ribbons of marshmallow all throughout. Possibly my favorite Smores ice cream.
My boyfriend and I both got smells and did half of a flavor in each. I was surprised that it came with so much. In a great way though :)

Mmmmmm!!! The best Italian icy in NY area. Yay. So good. This place is by the corner. I got watermelon, lemon, cherry:)

The Italian ices are awesome. Seen someone with some light blue ice cream. Not sure what the hell it was but looked good. My son just loved this place. I am kind of upset that I only got the small icy and my son got the medium. Damn it! I was kicking my self after!~

I was walking around the neighborhood and I stumbled apon this place. Holy shit I immediately turned 5 and walked in. The two lady’s behind the counters were friendly and gave me a good recommendation. I’m sure to come back for more.

Unremarkable ice cream and Uncle Louie G’s Ices*, but a huge roster of flavors and a good value given the generosity of the young staffers (who were pretty impatient/​annoyed on the first crazy day of the season), partially allowed by the fact that they’re cash only.
They had no campfire s’mores, so I opted for a large /​4 scoops for $ 4.50 for pumpkin pie, apple pie (they kept asking ‘pumpkin pie and what else?’, forgetting they carried both), salty caramel, and another which I forget. *Uncle Louie G’s means Free topping with Belly checkin (15 pts) ($ 0.50 value)

My family and I were visiting New York from California, and we were staying in Maspeth. We wanted ice cream one evening, so I searched Unilocal and found Isabella’s. Hooray!!!
The ice cream was absolutely delicious… rich, creamy, smooth, and just heavenly!!! The price was reasonable too.
The only downside is that we only have one more day here, so I hope to go back tomorrow and try the Italian ice.
If you are ever in Maspeth or Queens go to Isabella’s, you will not be disappointed!

Awesome neighborhood ice cream spot! Wish I would have tried this place sooner! Stopped by tonight after 9PM and they were still opened! There were two girls working there and it looked like they were getting ready to clean up for the night. They have many flavors for ice cream and Italian ices. They also make milk shakes, but it wasn’t available at the time we stopped by.
I had one scoop of pistachio ice cream in a sugar cone. And guess what?! It costs only $ 2! Amazing price for delicious ice cream! :) It beats getting the fancy ice cream in Manhattan! Looks like I’ll be stopping by here more for the rest of the summer!
Even after we were leaving, we saw people dropping off their kids to pick up some ice cream. And other kids were riding their bikes there and leaving them outside to run in and get ice cream at night! Guess it is a popular dessert spot in the neighborhood!

Great neighborhood ice cream/​Italian ice shop. Can’t say too much about the ice creams because I can’t resist getting ices when I’m here. Love that it’s always kept at the right temperature and gets scooped up super smooth without any ice chunks. Isabella’s is a great value because of their excellent pricing, I believe a dollar each scoop.
They also serve a couple of food options here. It’s nice to get a scoop of ice cream with a waffle.

Great Italian ice for the price… I love the fact that I am now a few blocks from this place :) I always look forward to seeing it open in the summer. Summer isn’t summer without several visits and buckets of Italian ice :)

Really good Italian ices at a fair price. Why couldn’t I have found this place sooner?

My neighborhood shop for Italian ices!
It is located at the corner of 69^th Street and 55 Ave. (near Grand Ave.) right off the LIE or a short drive from Queens Blvd.
A clean shop run by locals with also hot dogs and other snacks.
In the summer they put out PVC lawn chairs and tables for their customers.
I usually get the Italian ices. Great treat on those hot days.
(I have not try the ice cream cause I’m lactose intolerance)
