Took some recommendations from others and had the chicken enchiladas, which are really good! Also had guacamole with chips which was good but definitely too many onions. When I brought it home I opened my own Corona and thoroughly enjoyed!

This was my first visit and I can’t wait to go back. The food was amazing. The best burrito I have had in a long time. Not over stuffed with rice you could actually taste the flavor of the meat. The steak toco were delicious. Everything was fresh and and full of flavor. Go there, you be sorry

I had really high hopes drove out here from Jackson Heights, but it didn’t go well. Service was OK, the salsa bar. The creamy guacamole sauce was Lacking, pico de gallo was not a salsa, the tacos were OK, and then we saw a roach crawling on the wall. Won’t be coming back, just wanted to share my opinion.

Always fresh! Great Value. Love the guacamole & chips. Recently they expanded the menu offering empanadas. We have probably tried everything on the menu & find them all delicious. I highly recommend this place.

One of the best Taqueria places i have been to. I thoroughly enjoyed the fish and al pastor tacos, enchiladas and tostadas. The salsa verde is quite deadly(spicy lover heaven) too.

Went there for dinner with my son yesterday, ordered some tacos with beef n sausage, shrimp taco, side of rice n beans, milanesa de res torta(breaded steak sandwhich) and guacamole n chips. My son had both beef n sausage tacos, apparently he loved it since he finished both I had the shrimp taco, very bland not much taste, taco tortilla was not warm. Rice n beans, no bueno! Rice was mooshi and had big carrot pieces in it. I expected refried beans but their beans were not! Instead beans were hard! And overall COLD!!! Milanesa de res torta! When I started biting im like wheres the breaded steak??? Instead it was the same mixture of meats from my sons tacos! Beef n sausage! I asked the waitress «Excuse me? Can i ask u again which torta i ordered? She said u ordered the milanesa de res torta, Im like I didnt get my breaded steak in it» instead i got this! And I showed her! She went back to check in the computer which one she had put in the system. She came back and apologized saying she put the wrong one! Me being polite n hungry I was like«dont wrry, about it ill just eat it» Torta was cold also, i asked with cheese on it, the cheese wasnt even melted :( Total dissapointment! Great aguas frescas! I had orchata n my son had the agua de jamaica. I dont knw if ill come back to this place, perhaps ill give it one more chance n try something different in the menu :-/

This place is great! We ordered the lengua tacos, the veggie taco, & the Cubana torta. They were really good. Generous portion! Flavorful! The Cubana torta is really cheesy which is great! The veggie taco is something that we’ve never tried before in any Mexican restaurant. The one that we ordered were good but we can’t really compare it to any other place. The one thing that we love about this place is the salsa bar. We both love cilantro & you can get as much cilantro as you can at the salsa bar. The hot sauce here isn’t that spicy, well, at least for us. This place is definitely worth stopping by especially if you live nearby. Good food! Good service! Great value!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile so the best friend and I decided to stop by since she wanted to try a torta and I was in a taco mood. We shared guac and chips as an appetizer and let’s just say the guac was on point! The best part is that they aren’t cheap with the guac serving like other places that charge you an arm and a leg for it.(I was able to use my leftover guac in my tacos: P). In fact we ordered a small, which was only $ 5 and a perfect serving for the two of us. For drinks we ordered the watermelon and papaya agua frescas, which were heaven in our mouths because they were so refreshing for a hot summer day! For the entrée my best friend had the Al Pastor torta that came in a big portion enough to share between two people.(She also ordered the Spicy Pork tacos so she definitely had leftovers to take home). I had the Al Pastor, Spicy Pork, and Campechano tacos. I loved the pineapples in the Al Pastor. The Spicy Pork taco was also good but it wasn’t spicy at all, so definitely add some hot sauce if you prefer things on the spicier side. The Campechano taco was the most interesting for me because it was my first time trying Mexican sausage and it was definitely a yummy combination with the steak. The service here is also very good. The server and the other guy helping her were very friendly. I also love how you can add your own taco toppings(pico de gallo, cilantro, salsa, etc.) that they have on the side like a salad bar. We will definitely be making another girls date here again soon!

Home Made Taqueria is a great place to come and eat here in Maspeth on Grand Ave. Found this place through Unilocal suggestions. It’s a small restaurant that was kind of packed when we got inside. But for good reason as we were about to find out. We had a super nice lady by the name of Alicia. She greeted us with a smile and asked to sit anywhere we’d like and took our orders. I ordered their steak tacos and my girlfriend got their grilled shrimp tacos. We each ordered 2 tacos. I thought we would need more but they filled us up. Also their guacamole and chips were very fresh and tasty. Every thing made from scratch here. Come here for some yummy Mexican food. This place is great.

My husband ordered 2 chicken quesadillas. They said they don’t deliver to the Glendale area so we picked it up because they had already prepared it. I thought he picked up the wrong order when he got in the car, so I went back inside and the cashier said«that’s how we make our chicken quesadilla» and wanted to charge us more for putting toppings that are already suppose to be in a quesadilla! Did not want to give a refund. So I was tired and very hungry n decided we’ll just eat what they gave us n the coke will fill up our stomach. My husband ate the first quesadilla and drank some coke n threw up. He never throws up. I just threw it in the garbage after that n we went to «chillis» to eat n we ordered another set of quesadillas. This time real quesadillas. We forgot that it had just opened up. Chillis saved the day Horrible customer service Prices are high Food made my husband vomit They don’t know how to make a quesadilla n will give you a plain taco with McDonald’s type of lettuce n that’s it. No tomatoes, no onions, peppers, cheese etc.

I came here and I can’t believe the horrible service. First off no one really cares you’re waiting to order. Then they got my order wrong and I had to «convince» them that they were missing something. Finally they realized they made a mistake. I suggest anyone who comes here check their order. Food was ok. Price was low but now I see why. In short go somewhere else. There are much better places with better quality food and same low prices.

Got delivery for lunch today and was good overall, but I think it may be better to eat there, OR try other things on the menu. It’s quite an extensive menu. –Ordered Al Pastor tacos, and grilled tilapia tacos. Neither had much flavor. Very bland. I expected a lot more from the pork in particular — what special sauce/blend are they using? And where are the pineapples? I tasted nothing. And the meat was a bit chewy. –Salsa was spicy –Large guacamole was delicious! But it’s hard to give me a guacamole that I didn’t like. –Generous with their chips. Gave us two bags full of them. –Kid’s cheeseburger/fries: burger was bigger than I expected. I only ate half! Fast service: I live close by, so it only took about 20 minutes for the food to actually arrive. When I go in person, I would like to try the burritos and sandwiches. Maybe give the tacos another chance, but they are already simple in nature, and if the meat isn’t tender and there isn’t any kind of flavor, then it’s pointless.

I’m lucky to live close to here and can just walk over for takeout. Their food is excellent and the prices are recentable. Both the tortas and burritos are delicious. Favorite are the tacos and tortas.

Great home style Mexican food! We ordered fish tacos, shrimp tacos, steak tacos, children’s chicken quesadilla, rice and beans and guacamole. Everything was freshly made and tasted delicious. The fish and shrimp tacos had a kick due to the sauce; I will ask for the sauce on the side next time(and there will definitely be a next time!) My son really enjoyed the quesadilla and the chips — he even said it was better than Taco Bell(which is his absolute favorite at the moment; give him a break, he’s only 3!) Fast, friendly service in a clean restaurant. We were able to find parking easily in the area. Can’t wait to try the other items on the menu.

This place offers high value for the costs. Seemingly quality simple ingredients with reasonable seasonings creates an authentic touch of Mexican cooking not commonly found in new york. The mexican steak plater was cooked with crispy edges and tender sweet insides. Large guacamole was satisfying. Spicy pork taco with pineapple and onion was very tasty. I would have ordered another if I had the room in my belly. The salsa bar made the visit a little more fun.

The rating of 3 stars is about right for this spot and trulyyyy am surprised at this place having an almost 5star average review. I can’t help but wonder is it because the mexican options aren’t great in the area or if ppl haven’t had great Mexican? Is this place horrible? No. Is it worth almost 5 stars? Hell no. Sorry, but I will forever keep my reviews real on Unilocal! I’ve had the empanadas here and they are really good. I also had the tostada and loved it as well. Yesterday my coworker and I ordered lunch from here. I got the nachos w/steak&chicken, he got chicken salad. Seriously I’ve never seen a more pathetic salad in my life… lettuce in a styrofoam(no tostada shell bowl), w/raw onions, peppers, & chicken. No cheese, tomaotoes, nothing! Nothing remotely Mexican about that salad. On to my nachos… I’ve NEVER had nachos stacked the way they did it here. Sooo weird… it was like a mountain in a circle of nachos layered w/the ingredients. Am I weird for thinking the nachos should all be laid out w/all the toppings on top? You know so every damn nacho isn’t wilted w/toppings? They put the lettuce and what I think was pico de gallo along with the avocodo I paid extra for on the side of it. The nachose themselves were good Needless to say, I did eat it but won’t order it again. I guess this is better than the chinese ppl making mexican down the block but damn I gotta say I like their nachos better! Oh and no sour cream either? Weeeird lil things I wasn’t feeling about this spot. Guess, I can be the odd one out on a «fabulous» review for this spot.

Came yesterday craving some nachos and tacos. I ordered a tostada con carne, my friend got an enchilada taco, and a chicken nachos to share. The common issue we had is the blandness of the meats. I didn’t even taste a hint of seasoning on my carne. The food has potential to be great if they just season the meats better. My friend said her taco was bland. The nachos were very good. I LOVED the fact that the chips were not greasy at all like how nachos usually are, and also they were sturdy chips that could handle the toppings. I felt it might have needed a sauce. Usually nachos have sour cream and these didn’t. Also their pico de gallo really needs work. It’s basically just chopped up onions, tomatoes, and cilantro. Again, where’s the seasoning and lime juice??? There are better taco places, but if u’re in the area, it’s convenient.

One of the best tacos places I’ve been to in queens. It’s more of a hidden gem in Maspeth. I never venture out to this area but was around for a concert. We decided to eat in and order tacos and empanadas. I had the steak taco and spicy pork with onions and pineapples. It was so good and came in huge portions. The meat was cooked perfectly and charred just enough. They have a separate table with a lot of different toppings. There was cilantro, limes, guacamole salsa, salsa verde, pico de gallo, and onions. You can put on as much or whatever you like, no extra charge. I loved the guacamole and will def get nachos next time. Service was super friendly and didn’t give me a hard time using the Unilocal check in deal and the Unilocal deal($ 10 for $ 15). PS. They have jarritos!!!
