Discount Drug Mart

My favorite place for over counter meds, groceries and knickknacks. Especially produces are at great price, perfect place for a quick run picking up dinner ingredient between grocery shoppings.

Discount Drug Mart is the best kept secret in Mason. The best description is that it is actually a small department store and offers everything you would expect to find at a fancier chain such as CVS or Walgreen’s.
Oh…and they have booze. I’ve giving DDM a 5 star review based on their variety of craft beer, wine and liquors. Unfortunately the liquors are the watered down kind you find at Kroger’s but you can be in and out in three minutes with no long lines. The décor is not fancy and honestly DDM could do some remodeling to jazz the place up a little. They offer a great variety of local craft beer as well as from around the country. Particularly they offer a great selection of 22 oz. bombers that you’d normally have to go to a liquor store to find. Again… the convenience of having this little gem tucked away in a pretty crowded area is priceless.
I go here often after I workout next door at Fitness 19. The staff has always been polite, friendly and helpful. The first review for DDM blasted the staff and service but I’ve never had a problem.

The pharmacist here is very rude. They are also very stingy. Like if your kid has a prescription for 25mL of antibiotic. They will give you exactly 25mL not a single mL over. Which is a huge pain since they don’t give you an administration syringe that will fit down in the bottle, so you have to pour it into a medicine cup to draw it up, and then you’re short a dose at the end. It’s a shame, cause I think the store is cool, but the pharmacy is terrible.
