Off season, although open weekends, they do not have the same menu. The chowder tasted canned. The stuffies were nuked with rubbery clams. No fried food available. Kielbasa? More like a hotdog. Would not go back.

I only give this one star because Unilocal has that it is open, but alas, after we drove out of our way to get there, we found out that it is only opened on the weekend at this time of year. Shame on us for not calling, and I don’t want to lower their rating, but I wanted anyone researching this place to realize they may not be open as this site suggests.

Don’t go for the ambience, the great service or the cleanliness… You go why I went, to try the #1 voted lobster roll. For $ 26.75, it’s definitely delicious… and is clearly at least 2 lbs of lobster piled into a non-toasted/non-buttered roll(I always prefer a toasted buttered roll)…so a great value that you need to start eating with a fork to be able to pick it up. But be prepared to get your own water out of the water cooler, to receive slightly rotten limes and lemons in your drinks, to be seated at overly sticky and rotted tables in a fenced in outdoor area(no indoor seating other than the bar if raining), and to receive less than enjoyable service from servers that seem rather annoyed to still be working this late in the season. Lesson learned? Call in take out and order your lobster rolls TOGO.

Every place with a lob roll advertises as «Voted The Best» or «The Biggest» lob roll in Mass/Cape/[insert town]. This one happens to actually get my vote for biggest AND best on the Cape, based on my limited experience of four different places I had lob rolls throughout Cape Cod. It’s very out of the way, but worth the drive. Stop by Cupcake Charlie’s on your way back to highway 6, you’ll be glad to did, although you may not have room after the colossal and delicious roll.

Went on today with my wife to try the lobster roll. It was plenty for us to split, and it was absolutely delicious. It was my first time trying one, but I feel like everything after will be a disappointment.

We are frequent visitors to the raw bar in Hyannis and absolutely love it. A local resident recommended the raw bar in Mashpee so we decided to try it out. We couldn’t be more disappointed from our visit there. The seating area was dirty, the staff was rude. When we requested water for the table we were told it is self serve and we had to go behind a fence to get it. We ordered starters and they came out with the meal at which time we were told that’s the way they do it. When our food came we then noticed a hair in one of the lobster rolls which they refused to credit for the meal. Avoid this place at all costs.

I went there with 12 people for dinner on 8⁄5 and it was THEWORST dinner I have ever had. Among other things, we ordered four lobsters. My wife’s lobster came to the table missing part of its claw. It clearly had an injury that had partially healed, but the nub on the end, which was black looked like rotting meat. Kind of like when you get gangrene. Much of the remaining claw was black and not appetizing at all. We sent it back and it was sent back to us with the disclaimer that there was nothing wrong with the lobster. Well I can count a few things that were wrong;(1) it was MISSING part of its claw, and(2) there was clearly rotting flesh at the end of remaining nub. We sent it back again and once again it was returned to us with the message that they would not serve us anymore food and that the lobster we had to pay for this lobster. I met the manager at the side door and he explained to me that;(1) we were only there for cheap lobsters and(2) he could serve that because it was«cheap lobster night.» We got into a heated argument and he told me to «get the F out of his restaurant.» I told him that I would not pay for the lobster. What’s funny about the accusation that we were only there for there«cheap lobster.» Out of 12 of us, only 4 ordered the lobster special. I also guess that it’s ok to serve diseased and/or dying lobsters because they are on special. Aside from the lobster incident, it’s just a gross place. The table was sticky and they literally are cooking behind the bar. There is no room for a proper kitchen. You can literally see a dank employee restroom from the bar area and it looks like a scene from Saw. Yes the lobster roll was big, but it was also vert expensive at nearly $ 40. I can go somewhere else and get two $ 20 lobster rolls and still get a better serving.

Worst service I have ever experienced. The waitress was anything but attentitive, friendly and welcoming. She threw soup crackers across the table when serving my clam chowder. rediculous! I waited 30 minutes for the waitress to bring my bill after finishing my meal. When she did bring my bill, she tossed it on the table and walked away. I wont be returning, nor will I recommend it.

Don’t go here! False advertising! We went here with the expectation seen in the photos that it was a beautiful place on the water! It is neither of those! Instead we had to walk through shops to find this place squeezed in the back in a seedy bar with very small claustrophobic seating. There is NOVIEW of the water and WORSE, this place was smack dab in the middle of screaming children and teenager land. It was like we were lost in the twilight zone! We left immediately! Don’t go here if you want the place in the photos! False advertising!!!

Don’t be confused between the original Raw Bar at the Popponeset Marketplace and «The Lure Raw Bar» on the beach. They have nothing to do with each other. The original Raw Bar is famous for its expensive but«best in New England» lobster roll, the Wednesday night Lobster special and other seafood treats. You eat off picnic tables in a fenced off enclosure. It’s a Raw Bar after all. The owner’s sister restaurant across the path serves mostly fried seafood and is fine with you buying from either place and eating together. He even has no objection if the kids prefer pizza from yet another place in the marketplace. The Lure is a bar on the beach, has music on weekends, poor food(from a very limited menu) but a killer location.

The location is confusing to find amongst the beautiful homes at New Seabury, but the marketplace is certainly charming. As someone who enjoys structure, the first come, first serve setup was not ideal. Half of our party wanted food from the raw bar, the other half preferred the more fried/broiled seafood across the way. We were able to order food from there and have it brought over to the outdoor seating area(once we got a table) and the service was very quick, yet the actual raw bar service was much slower. I had the broiled scallops with rice pilaf, the scallops were amazing and plentiful for the price of around $ 16, but the rice was dried and hard like it had been sitting around for awhile. I tried some of the clam chowder from the raw bar and it was very good, as were the fish and chips from across the way, but the jerk chicken wings from the raw bar had a very funny taste, and my friend’s crab cake(one) was dried out and dull.

Very disappointed… Mostly in the location. The description on Unilocal says that they are right on the ocean. The map on Unilocal makes it look like it’s on the beach. This place is not… It is near the ocean(maybe. 1 mile) but it is a tiny bar with a tiny fenced area with picnic tables. The only view is the fence and the garbage can. It’s in a weird little shopping area. Didn’t bother with any food. Really wanted oysters, but not for $ 2.75 each!

The raw bar has the best lobster rolls! Many pictures on Unilocal today are showing them under the Lure Raw bar which is NOT the same place nor affiliated with each other! I go to both places but wouldn’t want anyone to think they were going to get that amazing huge lobster roll with an amazing mudslide and be disappointed! I have written to Unilocal to correct the error to show it under the Raw bar!!! Here is the website . Enjoy 2⁄16. Noticed the error was fixed glad to see the Raw bar pictures and all the compliments for the awesome lobster rolls and everything else thy have be correct on Unilocal!Awesome place awesome people!

I think most Cape Cod locals, like myself, will say that this place has THE best lobster rolls around! Yes, you will look at the price and want to walk out, but it is also the biggest lobster roll on cape so it is well worth the price. They have really great chowder, and fried seafood as well. The atmosphere here is also awesome, especially if you come on a night when there is entertainment. Stuffed quahogs are also a must(only $ 5) and their raw bar items such as oysters and jumbo peeled shrimp were perfection!

Amazing lobster roll! If you’re a glutton like me, almost getting sick from eating too much lobster is like a distant dream. Well, here my dream was fulfilled. Oh and get the raw clams, any of them.

Definitely stop here! While visiting the Cape for a friend’s wedding we were directed here to try the lobster roll. On our way through New Seabury we were worried our casual attire would not fit in but to our surprise this was a beachy/Boardwalk type shop with a cute little bar. The manager(Kate?) was phenomenal– super nice and recommended places for us to visit during our stay. We could of hung out there all day — I had a white wine and my fiancé had the Mayflower IPA which paired so well with the huge lobster roll! We absolutely loved it. I was a bit skeptical about the lobster in mayo on a hot dog bun but I am convinced I could have one almost every day. The lobster roll here was massive with a ton of lobster, no filler.

Lobster roll is good, its not really seasoned and bread is as blah as you get but there’s a lot of lobster meat. Oysters tasted great, wish they had been shucked better, had to dig out bits and pieces of shells. Wish they 1) had a better wine selection, all were kind of sweet and not that great. Cocktail menu looked great though. 2) had better options for kids. Hot dog and corn on the cob was about it. There were lots of families there, should be worth their while. Service was good. Def worth the visit and hanging out for evening concert.

Did you ever think you’d spend almost $ 30 on a single lobster roll? Well you don’t have to… Sort of! These beasts are actually perfect for two people. So split ‘em unless you’re starved. Packed with the meat of prob 4 lobsters, you can eat enough lobster meat to hold you over for a year. I typically favor a toasted, buttery bun, but these were big and soft and fresh and managed to hold the mass of lobster in quite well. It’s actually so jam-packed with meat that they supply you with a fork to eat the top layer without risking losing some to the floor or your lap while you eat. The clam chowder was also great and not served too hot so as to burn your tongue. Our order came out to us as we opted for a seat outside in the courtyard. Options for anti-seafood folks are on the menu as well. My brother had a hot dog, my mom had a Qoahog and some chower, and my dad and I shared a lobster roll with fries. Definitely a lovely spot to check out and do some shopping before or after you eat. Sadly it’s not the best lobster roll I’ve ever had, but it’s the biggest by far!
