Lost it when ROACHES went up the wall and server al a cart our 1 sandwich 3 sides, and 1 tea for a total of $ 18 and management was numb to our experience. The beginning started with the server saying our oder receives another side, then brings meal, not the sandwich ordered. Soup and salad was old. Sandwich meat was dry. Unable to get mayo or extra napkins because server went MIA.

Oh my. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is homey. The service great. The portions are very filling. you doubt have to worry Yup, take away is not an issue. Our friend thoroughly enjoyed his steak, red brands and yellow rice and topped off his meal worth a café con Leche, mmmm. Their specialty is the roasted pork, my favorite worth black beans n, Roxette, salad and am ice cold beer. A rappelling enjoyable experience worth repeating several times a month.

Collard green soup and chocolate mousse cake! Wow. Just wow. This place has great food! We came here with friends after they had raved about it. All I kept hearing about was collard green soup. I’m not a huge fan of collard greens, but I thought I would be adventurous and try it out. It was amazing! It’s not filled with collard greens as the name suggests. It does have them in it, but it also had potatoes and ham. My husband tried it and wished he would have gotten some. I only shared a few bites. That soup was MINE! My Cuban was great. They prepared it just the way I ordered it with their homemade bread. They hadn’t made any cheesecake that day. That was disappointing, but I did decide to try their chocolate mousse cake. It was delicious. Very creamy and velvety. I would get it again. The only thing that could have stood some improvement here was the service. We had to flag her down to order dessert. She never offered it to us.

I love this place. It is not fancy, the staff is friendly, the food is wonderful, and the prices are reasonable. The food is all hand made to order and yet the wait for your meal is not long. They advertise the best cuban north of Havana and they are right. All cuban sandwiches need salami!!! and they understand this! The soups are homemade and arrive steaming hot from the kettle; not the microwave. It does get very busy at typical lunch times, so be prepared to arrive either before or after the typical noon time lunch. Even if you have to wait, it is worth it!

Really cute place out in the middle of nowhere. I mean, I guess it is somewhere… but I never would have found it without Waze. That being said, this place seems VERY popular. Parking lot is super full and always seemed to have people waiting for seating. If I had to compare it to something, I’d say the feel of it is a bit like Taco Bus but with a menu closer to La Teresita. I hesitate to mention any specific dishes because they all seem equally good. Just come here and try the food already, ok?

Great, authentic Cuban cuisine at a convenient location with a little history behind it. Ropa Vieja is one of the best I’ve had. Reasonably priced for generous portion size. The only gripes I have are that our waitress was not very attentive to our table, and, my Boyfriend never received the black bean soup he ordered, which is a shame, because my Mother raves about their homemade soups. I’ll give it another try when I’m back in the area.

We didn’t know what to expect here since we have never had any Cuban food. The Unilocal reviews looked good so we gave it a try. Glad we did as the food here is excellent. I ordered the roast pork which is their signature dish. Ordered fried Yuca and a side salad. Also came with fried Plantanos. The pork was so tender I cut it with a fork. My wife got the Bassa fish. It was lightly breaded and fried. It was flaky white, very mild and delicious. Sides were black bean soup and side salad. We also got a large basket of Cuban bread which was hot, buttered and delicious. The server was very good and delivered our food with a smile. This was our first experience with Cuban food and we were delighted. Can’t wait to return

I decided to try this restaurant after reading some of the reviews already posted here. I was visiting my brother who lives in Spring Hill FL. I wanted to try to get to a Cuban style café, and this was highly recommended. We were served by Briana who was delightful,.engaging,.and a wonderful wait staff. Being from Minnesota, the land of 10,000 buffets, I was excited to try the food. There was a wide range of selections on the menu and between our party of 3 we covered a good sampling of their menu. I will not offer what we ordered, I have always thought that tastes were individual in nature,…although I do recommend the pork medallions. It was a nice experience,…and again if you are lucky you will be served by Briana.

It would be truly difficult to find better Cuban food than you can find here. I have never been let down by any selections here, all have been amazing. The roast pork(signature dish) is excellent. The black bean soup has a very nice flavor. I often get black beans elsewhere with a bland flavor. The collard green soup is really good too. The yellow rice is perfectly cooked, fresh, not gummy at all. The Cuban sandwich is among the best I have had. I like to try new things on the menu but it is hard since my previous meals have been so good. Prices are very reasonable. You can’t go wrong with their lunch specials. A different special every day with a couple of sides. Try them out!

I wish this place was closer to my house. The food and service were great. We had the pork medallions, rice, black beans, and a Cuban and needed a Styro to take home leftovers. It was much nicer inside than I expected. Will definitely be back.

I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this terrific little restaurant. The fresh Cuban Bread was outstanding. We shared yucca as an appetizer and it was delicious. I played it safe and ordered the Shrimp, marinated in mojo along with black beans and rice. The black beans are the best, seasoned perfectly. I enjoyed the seasoning on the shrimp, however, I will stick to fresh shrimp from Tarpon Springs. My boyfriend, who doesn’t like ANYTHING besides meat and potatoes(he is ridiculously picky) ordered the potatoes stuffed with ground beef, thinking that they were plain. Unfortunately, there are olives in them so he refused to eat them. I took a bite and I enjoyed them but, he was left with nothing to eat. They should warn people that they have olives. I would have given 5 stars, however, our server didn’t offer to send them back. Oh well, I can eat them as left overs. I will definitely be back, and order something unique, as everything I saw passing our table, looked amazing! I will go without my picky man! Lol

This is the place for cuban food! Priced right and always tastes good. The black beans are amazing and the flan is perfect. Expect to pay $ 10ish for meal, but the food is worth it. When I visit this area in the future Masaryktown will be a definite stop. My only suggestion is get the mojo on the side. It is an acquired taste.

OK, they were really nice but the food wasn’t Cuban. I order Ropa Vieja and recieved what was more like crock pot pit roast. It was all very salty. I sent it back and the waitress didn’t seem surprised. Can’t believe all good reviews.

We don’t eat anywhere else when here for work. Their food and staff are by far the most consistent of any place we go. If you want some of the best Cuban bread and food come here first! They have a daily special that rotates through their lunch choices so you could get this each day and try something new each day. After stuffing yourself with some awesome food, pick up a Cuban expresso on the way out!

Good food but not authentic Cuban food. I travelled up from Miami and I myself am Cuban. Maybe I’m a bit biased but the taste I’m used to is not there. I’m not sure what to make of the«devils crab.» I did not enjoy the flavor at all. I’ve never seen or heard of this appetizer. The tostones where probably the highlight of the meal. These were great and very tastey! Just like mom makes them, if you will. I got the Cuban sandwich and it had no pickles and a tad of mustard on the edge. Interestingly, the waitress said all of their Cuban sandwiches come with pickles and mustard which I initially asked about. The taste was off. Lots of ham stacked up with a minuscule amount of pork and salami, which I guess is how they do it up here as far as salami goes. The palomilla was good. No complaints. The flavor was good but I felt like something was missing. Again, maybe I’m just used to the SFL/Miami Cuban sazón. Overall, the food was good. It’s great Spanish food. Unfortunately the Cuban just wasn’t present for me. Make sure you greet their awesome cat Smokey!

This place was all that and more!!! I made my order of a Cuban sandwich. They brought me out tons of Cuban bread. For a side I picked the Deviled Crab Cake. It was lightly spiced and was to die for!!! The Cuban Sandwich I was told is Miami style. It had more ham than roast pork. The Tampa style is different I am told. I liked it either style!!! All that food and it was only 6 dollars!!! Love this place!!!
