My name is Jim. My family and I have been customers of Foothills since it was first started around 1997. Better yet, we were customers with Mr Scarbrough when he worked with Orkin, then Cooks Pest Control, and last a great manager for the local company Pest Tech. We started with him at ORKIN, We followed him through Cooks and again with Pest Tech because of the kind of honest man he was, and the great service he preformed, not because of the company he was with. Today he still runs his family business Foothills with the same personal service he always give with the other company’s. Just thought I would give my two cents worth. Its very easy today with the internet to put out here that most anyone can see with just a quick search, when we feel we have been wronged. But if you look, its really hard to find a good review of any company. Just think for a moment, if someone makes you upset you are ready to tell the world and write a bad review. If a business does a good job, most of the time we don’t think about taking the time to set down, go online, as they call it,(sorry I’m from the old school) this internet thing I’m still trying to learn and write a good review. I came across this review from a Mrs Kim reviewing Foothills. I’m sure she is a nice lady, looks like maybe they just couldn’t come to an agreement or compromise to a problem. If you read Mr Scarborough’s response, to me anyway, it seem to make since. But you have to read carefully. The point I want to make about this company is this. You now have one bad review, and one good one at the moment. If you google companies we all know from all the Adds they put in front of us as we watch TV or on the radio such as Cooks, Orkin, Terminex, ect you can find lots of unhappy customers. What I think is unfair, to a small business man, one bad review can really cost the family a lot of customers or depending on how many times its shared, could wind up costing them and there family’s the entire business. And the one thing is, if we all judge quickly from the one bad review without the thinking about it, there is a good chance this family at Foothills may not be a choice for us a year or two down the road when Orkin or Cooks makes us mad. «They» will still be here 10 years from now to take our money and have even more power to have a monopoly on the prices we pay for services we may need. And let’s face it, if you are on here looking for a pest control company(you already know its not cheap,) and you know you are going to give it to someone on here. Again I’m kind of new at this internet thing, so pardon any misspelling or grammar. Just saying, don’t always take the word of one unsatisfied customer. Be fair and if you are researching for a company, try and read between the lines sometimes. All I can say is this family, at Foothills, will go out of there way to always do the best job they can do. No one is perfect, they are just trying to make a living for there family, and they all take pride in there work and provide our area a choice and great service. If they were that bad of a company, in today’s world, they would not last long. Being around for over 21years, that should say a lot, and from just the people I know from the community they have a lot of satisfied customers that have used them for years. So Check a little farther, I think you will be glad if you will just give them a chance to earn your business. Worst case is you can always pay the hirer rates of the big guys later. Just my opinion, but according to this website, its about true customers and there reviews. If you read my whole post, thanks for listing to an old man. This family deserves a chance to earn your business. I don’t think you will regret it. Thank you

On Apr 112014 we hired Foothills to treat our home. Everyone we spoke to was very friendly but that soon changed. We were told by our tech that if we continued to have problems to call and they would come back out. On 4−25−14, we had Foothills come back to retreat because we continued to see ants. After a second treatment, she asked us if we wanted to renew for next month. We explained it wasn’t in our budget so she suggested that we could go quarterly for $ 55. Since that was more feasible, we decided to take the offer. She explained that by going quarterly that they only treat every 3 months, but will come back if we continue to have problems. We called another time to advise we continued to see ants. We were told by the office manager that our tech would call to set a time to come out. We received no call, so I left a voice mail on the techs phone. 4 days later, no callbacks from anyone so we called the office again. She came and baited for the ants and we were told that she would call us in four days and if we still had ants, she was going to bomb underneath the home. Well, Friday came and no call. Called back on Tuesday and complained and was told exterminator would call back. Almost 2 weeks later no call so we called again on July 112014 and complained. The exterminor said she would be here in 2 – 3 hrs. When exterminator arrived, we showed her the ants climbing all over the wall. She proceeded to go outside and said we had a nest of ants underneath the bush next to our home. She was going to get the stuff to spray and said our renewal was due in 2 days and did we want to renew. I told her no not at this time. She called the owner who was her father and because I wouldn’t renew right that minute, she packed up and left. No treatments. Okay, first of all, I signed the renewal on the 25th of April so I was not due to renew until July 25 not the 11th. I already paid for the treatment on the 11th. I paid again when I renewed on the 25th. Actually if you think about it, my renewal should have started on May the 11 since I already paid the first month so the renewal should not have been due until Aug 11th. We called the owner. Not a nice person. Refused to treat unless I paid renewal and then went monthly after that. I explained to him, if she had come or called when I first complained, we wouldn’t be having this discussion because I wasn’t 2 days from renewal which is what they said was my renewal. I told him they still needed to honor their contract. He said their is no contract. Well. Ummm… I have a piece of paper you gave me which shows I paid for renewal on 4 – 25 and next full treatment would be August. Sounds like a contract to me and also shows I wasn’t due for renewal until Aug. he was not reasoning with me at all. Please don’t hire this company. They do not keep their word.
