Pretty overpriced for what you get. Not even the best BBQ I’ve had. The owner is really nice though, great service. It is the only BBQ place in town so there isn’t much to choose from.

Food seems to be old and reheated. People that worked there were weird. Prices are too high unnecessarily. Portions are very small especially for the price. They could definitely do a better job

if I could vote 0 stars I would. this place is horrible. Rude owners and horrid service. not to mention how dirty and uncempt the inside is. if you want to eat outside better bring your own table cleaner. they never clean off the outside tables. not to mention them just recently getting closed temporarly for health code violations and yet reopening even before getting cleared.

Overpriced, overcooked, under served and lack of quality. Side dishes are about 3 ounces. Think small styrofoam containers. I fed my dog the greens which were foul, and the dog turned its nose to them. Beans, those went to the dog too. The dog did however run off with the rib bones and I haven’t seen it since. Sodas overpriced as mentioned before. Even when they have carbonation. Caution! High prices DONOT necessarily mean high quality. Now I’d be a little more kind if the creepy male owner didn’t POCKETMYCHANGE! I was shocked and when confronted acted like I was asking for an entitlement. Stay away from this place if you value your money and your health.

Very friendly staff. The owners are pastors of a local church so you know your money goes to a good cause. If you like spicy BBQ, Porky’s can hook you up!

Not sure I will be back. First of all I went to the Marysville location and they were closed. Nothing on th door indicating why. Went to the Yuba City location. Guy in there was not very friendly. And he had the TV blaring which was kind of annoying. Second food not very good. The frys were the worst and the pulled pork was just OK. Only good thing was the greens. Marysville/Yuba City needs a good Southern BBQ Place.

What a joke. $ 8.95 for a tri-tip sandwich and it includes a WHOPPING2 thin slices of meat. For $.50 more… they could double the meat and have a happy, returning customer. Instead… I’m never going back again. Also, I went there just after noon on Monday(the special on Monday is the rib lunch)…and they were out of ribs. LOL Are you kidding? Who is operating this business and how are they still open? It’s too bad that 1 star is the lowest rating. Fat Daddy’s from now on…

The food was inedible. It looked like the food was sitting around and was just reheated for us. Everything was SLATHERED with sauce to covered the old taste. The sausage was not made in-house. The sides were sub-par.

Ok, so I waited to make my review till after I had eaten here twice. Both times I went for a hotdog. I don’t know how I won the crappy hotdog lottery both times, but I did. My husbands hotdog was good, mine was horrible!!! Not enough exclamation points for how horrible it was. The bun was ok, the topping were fine, but the dog itself had been sitting in water for probably a couple of hours before it hit my bun. You know how they get that wierd discolored greenish/gray ring when they have been cooking for too long? Well both times I have been here, that is the hotdog I got! My advice, if you are hankering for a hotdog and this is the only choice you have, stay home and make your own hotdogs.

First I’ll say this is for the location in Yuba City as I didn’t go to the one in Marysville but the one in Yuba City doesn’t have a place to review it on Unilocal. If it’s the same food that they serve in Marysville most likely my review will be the same. We drove up to Marysville/Yuba City area because we wanted to have some of the BBQ that we tried at the peach festival in Marysville. Not remembering the name of the place we drove up anyway and stopped by the place. Unfortunately, we had a 50 – 50 chance of getting the place right and we were wrong(the place we were looking for was Fat Daddy’s which was closed on Sunday). But, we decided to try Porky’s out anyway because we drove from Sacramento and thought to give it a try. Looking at the pictures of the food, the food did not look that appetizing. I realize that usually pictures of food is staged and often times what you see isn’t always real food. But, c’mon they could have at least put the food on regular plates and added some type of garnish to make it look more appealing to the eyes. Anyway, I ordered the tri-tip sandwich and my friend ordered two polish dogs. The polish dogs tasted more like regular hot dogs and my tri-tip sandwich had two pieces of meat on it and had a strange tangy taste to it. We also wanted to order two drinks but their drink machine was out of carbination. Needless, to say we weren’t happy with the place and was not happy that we spent $ 20 on something that tasted horrible and upset my stomach. We were still hungry so we went to Chipotle to get something decent to eat which is unfortunate because I could have had Chipotle in Sacramento without having to drive to Yuba CIty. Only good thing about going there was that the drive to and from Yuba City was nice.

My wife and I stopped in today for the first time. The owner was very polite. The tri-tip I had was very good as were the beans. My wife’s Chicago hot dog was good also! We will return.

We’re from out of town and found Porkys next to our hotel. We got the 3 meat platter. Chicken was great, tri tip eas good but we didnt carevfor the pork ribs. Maybe we are used to beef ribs. The sides were awesome: green beans, greens and coleslaw. Cornbread was buttery and tasty. Very good ice tea!

I have had nothing but good BBQ from Porkys. I’ve lived in the South East where BBQ is big and im a fan of all styles… especially Porkys. The mustard greens are awesome. The owners are as nice as they come and they always make our visit special and usually hook us up with some free rib tips as an app. The smoked chicken and tri tip are awesome. If you got a few people with you get that queens or kings platter. Lots of bang for your buck.

I hate to rate a business in Marysville as bad – we need business here. But… I tried this place more than once and I’m sorry, it’s just not good. The bbq is mediocre at best and the sandwich I had last night was SOGGY. The beans were okay but the coleslaw was pathetic – vinegary was the main taste. And, don’t get me started on the desserts! I’ve eaten better pecan pies wrapped in cellophane and the berry pie is an embarrassment. The crust is dry and tasteless, the filling was a thick, jam-like consistency with little berry taste. I wish this place was a real barbeque joint but, I’ve eaten at a few and this ain’t one of ‘em.

Yes, I came here once again but only because a friend wanted to try this place out and he heard through one of his friends that this place was the bomb! I ordered the Tri-Tip sandwich($ 8.95) again and he went for the 2-Meat Combo dinner($ 16.95) with green beans and BBQ baked beans. He was about to grab a drink but when he noticed a can of soda was $ 1.75 he said forget about it. We went to his house to eat our meals and had one of his 2 liter Cokes as our drinks($ 1.00 compared to $ 1.75 for a can of soda). When I opened my dish he mentioned something like, «is that it?» Yes that was it a tiny Tri-Tip sandwich and a small side dish of potato salad. When he opened his container it had two pieces of BBQ ribs, two slabs of Tri-Tip meat, a tiny serving of green beans, baked beans and two slices of bread. He did say the BBQ meats were good but too small for the price paid. Remember $ 16.95? The beans were good too but the green beans were just nasty. He said beans from a can would be better than the beans he had just eaten. Afterwards he said he would not come back to this establishment.

I got killer diarrhea after eating at this place. It was so bad that I was dangerously dehydrated and couldn’t sleep all night. It was unsettling to say the least. There are some ++ to porky’s. The customer service was great, probably better than most other Marysville restaurants. It’s nicely decorated inside and had a quaint smokehouse charm. If the ribs I ordered had just been average, I would have given Porky’s 5 stars because of all the other little touches. My ribs arrived undercooked and being the stupid fool I am, I ate it. My ribs were cooked on the outside, but inside near the bone there was still redness from the blood. I hope Porky’s step up their ribs. I believe in second chances. What they need to do is bake the ribs before they BBQ. That’s the trick to making good pork ribs. Baking it helps to cook it, and the meat will have that fall off the bone taste. I had to fight to chew the meat off the bone. I’ve ate some crazy raw foods before. I love shucking live oysters as I feel their slimy movement down my throat. I figured I could handle a lil undercooked pork ribs, but don’t be a hero! Being up at 4am in the morning, sweating, and your ass sore from all the wiping is not a pleasant experience. :(

I went there for the first time yesterday. The service was so outstanding. The food was amazing. The portions were huge. Worth every penny. I will definitely go back there. One of the most friendly places I’ve ever been too. They came and checked on us several times. The wet napkins were a great thing too. Truly friendly people. I recommend this place to everyone. Even copied their menu to give out to people. Thank you so much Rebekkah

we were so excited to try a new place, but were quickly let down, the $ 20 we spent for some so-so meat(the tri tip ribs and chicken) the two side dishes which was a tablespoon worth of green beans that smelled like cigarette smoke and the baked beans(alone cost $ 2.75 each) that weren’t much better were only topped by the side of bread which was a slice of cheap white bread(I paid $ 0.88 for a whole loaf at food for less) not the great place were hoped for hopefully for them they make there portions bigger and spend the money they’re charging to buy quality ingredients

Wow! This place is awesome, It just opened up last Friday where JB’s coffee used to be in Marysville. It is very Cute and Clean on the inside. The Owners are so nice and welcoming. They have Ribs, Chicken, Hot dogs, tri tip, just about everything barbq. We had ribs and there were Delicious. They gave us so many ribs that we had to take half home. The meat was so tender and barely any fat or grissle on the ribs, just delicious meaty ribs with a wonderful sauce. I will be heading back there as often as I crave ribs or meat I’m sure everything else is wonderful. The prices vary Meals start at 2.75 and go up to 18.99 depending on what you want and how much food you can eat.
