Bob’s Transmission & Automotive Service

I was told about Bobs Transmission from a mechanic that wouldnt work on transmissions… to make a long story short I am glad we were told about Bob! I have been here for anything from a clutch to a transmission overhaul and ALWAYS get a great price and everything working as it should be. I recommend Bob to anyone I know that needs transmission work… go check it our for yourself you will be glad you did

Bob’s Automotive (can’t speak to the Transmission business) is NOT what it used to be after the father passed away. They had my car for 10 days total, and still all but one thing wrong with the car was fixed. And I cannot prove that they did what they charged me for since they gave the car back in the same state of disrepair as when I dropped it off to them except for the one obvious thing they fixed. I will NEVER go back to them, and I suggest you do the same, unless you enjoy paying for something and getting nothing in return.

I was surprised to see that there aren’t any positive reviews of this business. My family and I have frequented this business for many years. When it comes to servicing/​repairing your car, there’s no substitute for an honest, trustworthy opinion from someone who knows about cars.
The business has been around for 40 years, and it’s family-​owned. That should speak for itself. My family and I will continue to frequent this business. Everyone here is friendly, and you get the sense that they’re looking out for you rather than trying to make a quick buck.

DO NOT GO HERE! If there was an option for 0 starts I would have chosen that. They are great for taking your car and keeping it for days before ever doing any work. The last time I used them I made an appt a week in advance, dropped the car off the day before and they told me they would do it first thing in the morning. Called right before close and they hadn’t even looked at it. Decided to try them one more time and they did the same thing. I dropped my car off at 9am, they didn’t even look at it until 6:30pm when they were about to close. Had I not called they probably wouldn’t have even looked at it at all. Promised me it would get done first thing the next day and guess what?! No call. I call them and now they are closed for the wknd. So I am out a car for at least 4 days with no transportation to work when I was told it’d be one day. Terrible service. If you can’t fit it in at least call your customers and let them know. Never leave them stranded! Anybody else should seriously consider another option.
