L & E Electrical Contractors

Hopefully this info. will help someone!
I have electric through RG & E and when I attempted to switch the electric into my name the other person still had it turned off on me. RG&E wouldn’t turn my electric back on because there were exposed wires… understandable. However, they did it on a Friday.
Without internet or a phone book it was very difficult to find someone to come out and fix the problem. We called L & E because Larry was recommended by someone we knew. Unfortunately being a Friday no one answered.
We finally were able to contact him on Monday and he said he would be able to come the next day at 11:00.
We hurried home to be there by the time he was supposed to arrive. We were relieved because we were a few minutes after 11:00 and he wasn’t there. When it was 11:15 and he still wasn’t there we gave him a call. He said he had an emergency and that he had scheduled to come to the house on Tuesday at 11:00. When we said it was Tuesday and after 11:00 he said he would send his son and he should be to our house by 12:30.
When 12:30 came and went and his son was still not here we called again. Larry said maybe he stopped for lunch! So as we were freezing at this point and getting more discouraged we tried to be patient. Another 30 minutes and the son finally showed up.
He looked the wiring over and said he couldn’t do it that day because of the weather (it was snowing and in the 30s hence why we were freezing). He laughed about it and made it sound like it was an inconvenience for him. He said maybe he could do it the next day he would have to move some things around. Honestly, he was pretty much just a smart ass.
After he left we found another number of an electrician. Stephen from Wren Electric in Sodus came out within 15 minutes of calling him. Next day, today (4 – 16) he arrived before 7:30 and had it done withing 2 hours. His price was cheaper and he had it done much faster than the 12 hrs Larry’s son had said it would take.
Oh and by the way the son was supposed to call back and it’s after 2:00 now and still hasn’t bothered to call nor has Larry. I hope no one uses this company. They are a joke and obviously unreliable!
