Hugos Uptown Bar

Hugo’s was a great find here in the tiny town of Martinsville! It is a very clean restaurant and bar where you can grab a bite to eat and watch the game.
Instead of us each getting our own meals, we decided to get a few appetizers in order to try a bit of everything. We ordered 4 different items:
–Nachos (probably our favorite-​plenty if yummy toppings!)
–Sicilian Flatbread Pizza (Veggie & Pepperoni-​delicious and a perfect small size. Wasn’t thin crust like most flatbreads, and instead had a lovely, chewy crust!)
–Boneless BBQ Wings (huge chunks of REAL chicken-​very lightly fried & the bbq sauce was flavorful)
–Fries (what more can I say?!)
We ended our meal with Oreo Pie (aka cream cheese/​cool whip in an Oreo crust)-simple yet delicious! All of our appetizers, a salmon salad, dessert, and 2 drinks came in at just over $ 50-​we were quite shocked! For such low prices, you would expect mediocre food, but we enjoyed everything we ordered and the quality of the food was good!

Large wings at a great price and they taste great too! This has quickly become one of my favorite places for wings and lunch in Martinsville. Plenty of parking available. Friendly service. Multiple rooms if you want to bring a group for a private party, etc.

Looking for a warm hearty meal to warm us from the inside on this freezing cold day and I mean FREEZING. Good coffee, great meal, a warm inviting place. The food was great!

We were vacationing in Fairy Stone State Park and wanted to find a sports bar for the Packer’s Thanksgiving Day game.
Hugo’s was it, but that’s not a problem. The staff was very attentive, made sure the TV we were closest to had our game and the manager even turned on the sound for us, which was a real bonus.
If only the Packer’s had decided to play! But that’s not Hugo’s fault.
We ate the very reasonably priced Thanksgiving buffet and enjoyed a beer. The quality of the food and the price was a winning combination. And it featured free WiFi.
Highly recommended for locals or travelers like us.

The new menu is very classy, and it’s a nice, relaxed place to get a cheap drink
