I purchased a rug in store almost four weeks ago. We never used the rug, however it was stored for 30 days amongst many other items. Today was the LAST day I could return the rug for refund and receive my money back. I took the rug into the store today, with the receipt and original tags, and the VERY RUDE (Donna) manager that I have had HORRIBLE experiences with on multiple occasions — that have almost led me to boycott the Gabriel’s store altogether just from the negative experience she has left me with leaving the store — refused the return. Per policy, and per conversation with a corporate member this morning, I could return the rug, as it is within the 30 days for a full cash refund as I paid in cash. The carpet was NOT STAINED, NOT RIPPED, NOT TORN, and the surface debris that was on it could physically be brushed off with your hand. But because of the cling-​ons on the carpet, she got a horrible attitude with me, refused the refund, and told her associate not to give me anything but store credit. This was at the Martinsburg, WV store on Winchester Ave.

I go to Gabes at least 1x a week. I walk out of there with bags and bags… every time too. I love to bargain shop, and there are some serious bargains to be had here. The only dept that I don’t consider very good is the housewares. Not too many bargains there. However, clothes, shoes, accessories… OMG! I bought a beautiful pocketbook there that retailed at $ 300 for $ 19! I just bought a red wool swing coat for $ 13. The best way to shop here is during the week, prepare to spent some time looking at everything. Go rack to rack, hanger to hanger. Mixed in are real gems. You have quality brands Mixed in with cheapy brands. Check everything for stains or holes. Btw, most stains come out, your mom can help you with that ;) Im moving back to NY in a few months and Gabes isn’t up that far north so i plan on making the drive. I’ve been to a few Gabes in VA, MD & PA but the Martinsburg store is the best. Its a must for anyone who loves clothes!

GABES IS THE BEST!!! You can buy some serious brand names CHEAP!!! Free people! UO and on occasion Jcrew! You have to inspect the clothes to make sure there isn’t any defects rip etc! But I’ve grown up shopping at this small chain & this is their newest store and the selection is A++++
Ps!!! NIKE SHOES Galore I’ll never buy my running shoes anywhere else!!!

I’ve been here twice and not really impressed each time. Huge selection of boy and girl clothes, but nothing really spectacular that I could get at a store closer to me for comparable prices. The line for the register was always long though.
