This Goodwill truck is located behind the Nob Hill Foods Shopping Center (Muir Station) in Martinez. Driving east on Highway 4, I can look to my right just before the exit and determine first if they are open (open trailer door). On some Saturdays, I’ll drop off a box of stuff on my way to Gayle’s house. Some of this donation activity is in preparation for the time that we will be sharing the same house.
On these Saturdays, Scott is usually working the truck. He’s got a great operatic singing voice which is a joy to hear. We also have this nice little tradition where he offers and I accept the tax receipt with both hands and we share a little bow. Who knew that a Goodwill donation could be such a zen-​like experience?
