Jeanette has cut and colored my hair three times now and I love her work! The first time I went in I probably had 10 photos and didn’t know what I wanted besides an updated look. Jeanette was patient, explained the pros and cons of the different colors I was interested in and I decided to add blonde highlights. I let Jeanette decide the colors and I love what’s she has done. I get more complements about my hair and my skin now. I have naturally curly hair and the cuts that’s she’s given me work for my curly hair or when I straighten it.
In addition to her super skills, all of the staff at Elegant Hair are super friendly and helpful. Everyone I have seen walking out looks amazing! The salon is in a small strip mall and was recently re-​modeled and is bright, clean, and comfortable.
Jeanette has always been on time and her prices are very reasonable.

I have been coming to Trisha for three years for my nails. This new shop is very cute and in a working class neighborhood. Free parking and close to the freeway. Everyone in the salon is nice and welcoming. Trisha’s prices are very affordable and she does a great job! I highly recommend her for nails.

Just got out of the salon and I have to say WOW! Laina succeeded my expectations and not only gave me exactly what I wanted, but even though it was my first time meeting her, she was really friendly (not fake) and a joy to be around! She colored my hair and trimmed them just right. Very reasonably priced too! I will be definitely coming back very soon!

Now I am a mother of two boys and not a real girly girl. So hair dye from a box and an occasional trip to super cuts has been my norm for 20 years.
My upcoming anniversary and realization I am looking haggard inspired me to actually have my hair done.
Always wanted to go to elegant hair and even knew I wanted Jeanette to do it because of the rants I have heard from my girly friends and family. Plus it’s a minute from my house.
Called a week earlier and lucked out as she had a cancellation for the next week. I didn’t know what I wanted. She took the lead. Was friendly and funny and even better my hair looks and feels SO good! I could tell she was probably too busy to give me highlights but she did anyways and they r awesome!
I made an appointment for 7 weeks out. I may be hooked.
And the shop, her mom (owner of shop) and other stylists were fun and lively too!

Alright, had I known that they had a Unilocal I would have reviewed a long time ago. Jeanette has been doing my hair for about seven years now and I will not let anyone else touch it ever again, not even myself when it comes to color. I have messed up my hair a number of times in the past and Jeanette has always been the one to fix it! She is absolutely amazing and has never left me unhappy about my hair cut and color. The women who work there, including her mom margarita are all so sweet and welcoming. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review on this place yet! I LOVE everything about Elegant Hair. Jeanette has been doing my hair for a few years now and I have NEVER been disappointed. From the outside it looks like nothing much (although they are remodeling) but the talent within is amazing! Another plus is the price for a cut/​color. VERY reasonable! I found out about this place by just asking a few girls I saw around my home town who had amazing hair where they got their hair done at. And that was about 30 minutes away from where they are located! I always get asked where I get my hair done so several of my friends/​family come here now too :0)

Jeanette has been doing my color for 8 years now and she does my blonde the perfect color everytime she is very sweet and so is her mom who also does hair great place to go if you want your hair done, she always has a wait tho so call a few weeks before.

I am extremely picky about my hair. I had been going to Phoenix salon in Walnut Creek for over four years. I had a wonderful stylist but then she moved and the stylists at Phoenix over processed my hair to the point it was breaking off and I was unable to even get a brush through my hair. On top of that mess the salon was charging me different prices every time for the same work. I was charged $ 350 to have broken, dried out hair which was really killing my mood.
I was in desperate need of a new salon when I saw someone that had perfect hair. I asked where she went and she recommended Jeanette from Elegant Hair. I made the consultation and was a bit nervous at first. However, Jeanette has honestly done one of the best jobs on my hair that I have ever had. No breaking, no dried out frizzy mess and she has given me the perfect shade of blonde that is neither yellow or orange. The salon is not a fancy one but Jeanette is far more talented than many of the over priced stylists I have endured in Walnut Creek. She and her Mom work together and they are both very warm and welcoming. My hair takes quite a while to do and Jeanette is always very patient and knows just what to do. I am no longer charged different prices every time like I was in Walnut Creek and her prices are very reasonable. So reasonable that I am now able to get my hair done more frequently. This salon books up quickly so I book my appointments a month out. Thumbs up to this salon!!!

I live in Berkeley and drive all the way to middle of nowhere Martinez every two weeks to have Lene do my nails. Ive been getting acrylics since I was 12, and she is the best. She can pretty much do anything you want and I always leave happy. I’ll post some pics up later. She has a one chair studio so she can only take one client at a time so make an appointment!
since I’ve been going to Lene, I met Lorena. She is super sweet and knows what she’s doing. I recently wanted extensions and bought the hair I wanted and she put them in with keratin glue. She also does bead in extensions and another stylist at the salon does sew in weaves. I love my extensions, and her prices were very reasonable. She also did the keratin treatment on my hair, which she charged about 50% less than other salons I have had this treatment done at. This is my new salon. I feel very at home when I am here.
Oh yeah, this is not a Bourgeois salon. It’s not fancy at all. but I’ve been to really fancy places that overcharge and haven’t always been happy. These girls keep me lookin good and that’s all I care about!

Elegant Hair & Laina have been in my life for almost 5 years now and I refuse to go anywhere else! My hair stylist, Laina is absolutely amazing! Everytime she cuts, colors, or highlights my hair– it fails to amaze me how good of a job she does! I remember calling her a «Magician» the first time she did my hair!
This spot is family-​owned by Margarita and all of the ladies from the nail shop to hair section are very friendly and treat you like their own in a heartbeat. I’ll never choose to go anywhere else!
