Came back for another visit and the food and service were again excellent. The seared scallop special with brussel sprouts was amazing. Next time we are trying the flat breads as they looked really good.

One of the best restaurants on the South Shore, certainly the best of its kind. It’s a tapas place, so do set your expectations at small plates where you savor each dish and share tidbits. When they have the lamb chops on special, that’s what I get. My wife always orders the tomato & mozzarella flatbread which she loves. We don’t go out to eat all that much and Hola is our choice more than half the time, so that should tell you something. The quality of the food is outstanding. Other favorites are the braised short rib and the short rib sliders. They have a small but tasty selection of craft beer. It’s a friendly and companionable place with a cozy atmosphere and a a low-key Spanish flare. It draws a lot of regulars as it’s what you might call a well-known secret in Marshfield — and known to be much better than the average fare. Some time ago, I lost my wristwatch — it must have taken it off and left it on the table. I thought it was gone, but the next time we went to the restaurant the owner brought it over. It had been over a month yet he recognized it was mine. Very thoughtful and gives you an idea of the attention they pay to the customers. Note that I have no connection or relationship to the owners or staff — just an appreciative patron who goes there a fair bit.

This is such an awesome little restaurant. Good atmosphere, great service. The menu is quite varied and the food is very palatable. It is definitely my go to place. It has a delightfully relaxed atmosphere.

Awesome spot, great staff. I am dreaming about the fig, prosciutto, gorgonzola flatbread. Roasted Brussell sprouts and bread pudding. Everything was fabulous and so reasonable, especially the wine. Gets pretty busy around 7p on a Saturday. Get there by 630, no worries. :) can’t wait to go back.

SO excited I finally found an awesome, authentic Tapas place that you don’t have to drive downtown to! I am a big fan of tapas and Spanish cuisine in general, having visited Spain on many many occasions, and have been missing the true taste of Spanish food. Hola completely statisfied my cravings. We ordered the charred rare beef which was melt in your mouth with popping flavors, the grilled cauliflower which had a great char on it, the empanadas which I am typically not a big fan of but these had big bold complex flavor, and best of all the ancho chilli chicken! That was to die for, the sauce was a brilliant burst of fresh flavors! All the dishes were executed perfectly, came out at a nice pace so we could enjoy our wine and conversation and had completely different flavor profiles. I honestly would have wanted to order more but was too stuffed! Wine selection was also decent, and the staff was great, informative and polite. We’ll definitely be back many many times! I only wish they were open for lunch hours too!

If this was in ‘the city’ it would get 3 stars. Because it’s down in Marshfield, it’s getting 4. There are not that many places to choose from in the are– and this brings some nice creativity. Service was outstanding– very kind young woman. Drinks– soda, $ 2 each refill, who cares but a little bizarre. Tables smushed in together and a lot of high tops. Very kind hostess who was super friendly. Dishes– crab cakes– decent, not amazing. Fried green-beans– very good. Potato wedges– average. Cauliflower– nice not spectacular. Shrimp– good, but I’ve never met a shrimp I don’t like. No bread served — they don’t carry it. Strange for tapas. Next time will try the flat breads– looked good at other tables. Thrilled to see some new choices soent Marshfield. Worth a try– would like to do a round 2 and hope its a bit better.

We are never disappointed at Holas. The flatbreads are amazing. On a past visit, we had shark bites awesome. Spiced grapes, goat cheese and Spanish almonds were awesome. Service was attentive but not hovering. Dishes were brought out promptly spaced out nicely. Excellent experience.

Pretty decent food, but extremely tiny portions for the money. «Skillet of Shrimp» consisted of 5 small shrimp, in a tiny, toy sized pan, about as big as a couple quarters. It was $ 10 for that. The service is also very slow. The outside area is quaint with a fireplace and enjoyable to sit at, but the inside is small, and they will sit you with other people, which I don’t care for. I would not dine here if there was no outdoor availability.

Overall outstanding experience. Food was delicious and you could tell each dish was freshly prepared. Highly recommend trying any of the flatbreads(incredibly thin crust with lots of flavor), the cauliflower(charred on the grill and accompanied by a tasty mojo sauce) and the green beans(fried but nice and light!). Also, be sure to leave room for dessert! There is always a special dessert flatbread. When I was there it was strawberry cheesecake flavored. Unbelievable! Liz was our server and she couldn’t have been better. Made great recommendations for the meat eaters and vegetarians at our table, and was always checking in as each tapa was devoured. Very friendly! Would recommend this to anyone, adventurous and picky-eaters alike.

Consistently, reliably great. The food is beautifully prepared and interesting. The wine list always satisfies and is gently priced. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming. The staff is friendly and well-trained. Other restaurants should take notes!

Small plates are only good when the flavors knock your socks off. Our meal lacked the basic seasoning and bold flavors that you expect from a tapas place. I could’ve assembled a better meal from the appetizer section of Trader Joes. The waitress and hostess were nice.

One of my favorite places to eat! When I’m bringing a friend to Marshfield, or just want to kick back with my roommates/friends, we will go to Hola. Serious flavor, serious drinks. Gleeful experience. There’s something for everyone on the tapas menu. It’s a place you want to sit and order, and order, and order(with drinks to accompany), while you have a nice conversation or group outing. The acoustics aren’t so great, so on busy nights, it’s loud– which is sometimes what you want when you don’t want to be heard. From the flatbread(SPICYCLAMYUMMM), to the cold tapas(Beef Carpaccio), to the hot tapas(empanadas, and saffron rice balls, oh my)… nothing can make you feel better than the sights, smells, and sounds of this gem of a place. I always leave with my appetite satisfied and my brain cleared. Doesn’t happen often when I go out!

Love this place! I’ve been a few times and each time has been a great experience. My husband and I were meeting with friends for dinner last weekend and were seated right away. We had the Spanish sangria to start and then went to town on the menu! So much to choose from… we had the steak empanadas, lightly crusted and served with crème fraîche were very flavorful. The potato torte was an interesting dish served in a casserole, thinly sliced potatoes made the dish seem light. They make fantastic flatbreads, these are a must have if you visit. We opted for the flatbread special of the night. We girls had the dates with prosciutto and mango dressing, served warm, again very flavorful and delicious. They shared a beet salad, and raved about how goo dit was. In the warmer months they have a patio area with fireplace, gorgeous ambiance both inside and out! Not a ride by as from the outside it is on the end of a strip style building, you enter through the door and heavy curtains to an exotic far away place that is warm and inviting! Great mojitos and sangria!

Atmosphere was good, sat outside 53 degrees but have heaters and fireplace plus blanked if you choose. 30 min wait friendly staff, freshly served Allagash white, fried beans were excellent, charred rare beef/figs was very good, cheese plate was good but not enough flat bread, flat bread pizza w/prosciutto, figs and Gorgonzola cheese was not that good only had 2 pieces of figs, little cheese and way too much prosciutto(made it salty). Server was very attentive and smiled the whole time. Prices are what you’d except from a tapas restaurant would def return just don’t go starving or order lots of apps

Hola is hands down the favorite restaurant of my wife and I. They have great options for the less adventurous(flatbreads and burritos), but the tapas are exceptional and the Spanish wine selection is tops. Our favorite dish is the coffee and chipotle rubbed steak. It is one of those dishes that when you take a bite, you close your eyes and smile while you chew because it is so wonderful. We also discovered Rioja wine here which is now our favorite. Other standards for us are the croquettes(awesome romesco sauce), stuffed swordfish, and spicy empanadas. There is a great Spanish/Latin flavor combination with many of the dishes. With very few exceptions, everything we have tried here has been great. The best part is that you can order such a variety of items and get to try them all because of the small plates. The restaurant is a little small, but the servers have all been very knowledgable of the menu. We love it here!

Live close by for a couple years now but never tried until tonight! Walking in my first thought was… wow, beautiful décor but tiny! Luckily, they had some outdoor seating and it was a beautiful night. The outdoor seating was quite nice and still felt as intimate as indoors and there was a fireplace! They offered bug wipes and spray and we took advantage because once the sun went down, the bugs did come. I was surprised they didn’t have tiki torches or something to help deter bugs. I’ve never done tapas before but recalled discussing them in a Spanish class many moons ago. We ordered dishes over time and tried at least ten things. It’s definitely a more social experience and pretty casual. My husband liked the stuffed swordfish and my favorite was the flatbread pizzas. My best friend also enjoyed the flatbread pizza – the one with spinach. I’m a picky eater but even I found things I liked. I thought the green bean dish and the chicken empanadas were good but definitely liked the flatbread pizzas the best! We also got the calamari. It came with tentacles(a good thing) but my husband and best friend’s husband thought it had to much breading and was a bit overcooked. My friend’s husband also was less than impressed with the Spanish sangria but did like the samplings of beer on tap. Overall, food was good, service was solid and the atmosphere was nice:) I felt far away from home:)

I tried Hola for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! The menu is smaller than some other tapas restaurants I have been to but the quality of what they do offer is fantastic! My husband and I shared the chorizo & black bean with queso flatbread & it was delicious! Next we shared the chimichurri steak taco plate. That was fantastic. It was a grilled steak(maybe 8 oz) layered on top of a flour tortilla surrounded by some sort of corn and cheese salsa. I almost ordered that same plate again! So good! A couple sitting at the table next to us had the fig, prosciutto, balsamic and Gorgonzola flatbread and I am definitely ordering that next time!

We had an awesome experience at Hola the other night! Hubs, myself, and four of our friends agreed to meet there for dinner and drinks. The restaurant is relatively easy to get to, but is very small. For when the weather is nice outside, there is a cute patio that offers outside dining and helps keep the crowds at bay in terms of wait time. We sat at the large communal table in the center of the restaurant right in front as you walk in the door. There are large drapes around the door that helps with the door drafts, but there is no room for patrons waiting for a table to, in fact, wait for a table. So, we constantly felt like people were watching us eat and people kept bumping in to the back of my chair as they walked by to the other side of the room. But with all that aside, the food was awesome. Hola may not be an intimate place to bring your husband or wife, but if you’re meeting friends and want to try and bit of everything, this is it. Our server was awesome and kept the drinks coming. The menu is mostly a variety of tapas, but they do offer some taco/burrito offerings. Since we were sitting close to the kitchen, if the tacos and burritos tasted as half as good as they looked, they were sure to be delicious. Between the six of us, we split the following tapas plates: sea bass with pineapple glaze, dates roasted with bacon and balsamic, roasted asparagus, coffee and chili rubbed steak, and chicken empanadas. The sea bass was served with roasted sweet peppers on the side and the fish was extremely fresh and moist. That could have easily been a(small) meal just for one. The dates were awesome and I enjoyed the asparagus that was served with roasted mushrooms. The chicken empanadas were rather small, even for tapas. The steak was very thin and I couldn’t taste the rub on the meat because it was served with the«potato wedges»(shoestring fries) on top; however, the meat was tender and moist. We also split the fig and prosciutto flatbread along with the eggplant, roasted pepper, and garlic flatbreads. The eggplant flatbread was by far my favorite and I really liked how thin the crust was, even though it was a little oily. The next time I go back, I will be sure to ask them to take it easy on the oil on the flatbread. The flatbreads were served straight from the oven and were delicious! Wait, you thought I forgot about dessert? Well, between the six of us, we also split the«seasonal flatbread» which that night happened to be: flatbread crust with a cinnamon/sugar glaze topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries. And, on top of that, each slice was served with a dollop of fresh sweet cream. Deeeeeeelicious! In fact, there was a couple at the bar that came in specifically for the dessert flatbread and split a bottle of wine while enjoying it. Great food and great service made for a memorable evening and I can’t wait to go back!
