Kokomo Espresso and the Breakfast Croissant were excellent and at a fair price. The staff was very friendly and the place is perfect if you wanna just come in and chill.

Really nice atmosphere, you can tell they took the time and money to make the Brew House feel rustic and cozy. They have good food too. Though one time I purchased a medium iced latte there, and there was a lot of ice. When I got home I was curious and removed all the ice, and only 1⁄3 of the 16 oz. cup was the drink! If you get an iced coffee drink, say light ice to avoid wasting your money.

I thought they had drip coffee. Went to get my own coffee and got it out of the pot. Not sure if it is drip or not, but I doubt it. Beats paying the corporate man and getting Starbucks, but I actually prefer a darker roast coffee. I didn’t have any food here, but it all looked appealing. Would be nice if Mtown had a real coffee house. Would go back based on the small amount of locally owned places that the area has to offer.

EXCELLENT food, EXCELLENT customer service. Enjoy your visit to one of the few local deli/salad places in Marshalltown. Their coffee was just okay, but the tea was great. I’d recommend the Carolyn if you’re into roast beef. Enjoy!

The Brew House is hella swell on ambiance. It has booths, a counter, and tables to sit at. It is spacious and you never feel like someone is hanging over your shoulder when you are laptop-hoboing. They also don’t mind you just having a coffee and hanging out. Their drip coffee is tasty and fairly priced. Their muffins are rad. Ditto that for their other pastries. Their food– food… well…there aren’t hella sandwich options for vegetarians. The mac and cheese sandwich kinda tasted like Kraft mac on a white bread panini. I haven’t tried the veggie wrap yet. Their are some breakfast options, but I haven’t been their early enough to experience them. Also, they are only open till 2 – 3 p.m. depending on what day it is. I wish they were open later. Totally an awesome laptop local. Watch out around lunch, a heck ton of folks from Fisher/Emerson(across the street) go there.

Stopped for lunch on my family’s way through town. Only one option for a no-meat sandwich — offer an avocado substitute or something! That wasn’t even the problem though. They gave our order to someone else, when the other customer brought it back, they tried to give me the one the other customer just brought back, from outside the restaurant, no less. Gross, no. I’m not even sure if that is legal. I had to ask them to make a new one for me. It already took a LONG time for the first order. You could at least offer a free cinnamon roll or something to compensate me for my long, long wait.

The blended Kokomo hit the spot after a full day of golf! Went back the next morning for a breakfast wrap — egg, bacon, cheese. Good way to start the day. Good drip coffee too with multiple choices of flavors.

We went there for the first time to see what it was like. We got there at 1 pm and they were out of soup so we had to change our choices. My wife ordered. A bacon, cheese, chicken panini and I ordered a Reuben. I have to say her panini was great. My Reuben was very good although I am used to getting it with sauerkraut and not coleslaw. What kept this from being a fine star review was the fact the coleslaw and the pasta salad was blah. They both need a little kick. The atmosphere was really nice and we will definitely be coming back.

I had a turtle mocha and a panini sandwich. Both were really good. This is a place that Marshalltown needs. Very cute & a good place to hang out at. I’ll be back!

I’ve decided to update my review now that I’ve had breakfast and the standard coffee. Much better experience the second time around! The service was excellent and the sausage, egg and cheese croissant I had was delicious. The coffee was excellent too(I drink it black, no doctoring it up here!) I think this atmosphere and space is exactly what Marshalltown needs. Now if only they would add evening hours so I can come in the late afternoons and evenings!
