We were driving through from Arkansas to Houston and had to find a spot to sleep for 7 hours at 200 in the morning. Wish we would have just spent more money for a nicer room. The room was not cleaned at all. There was men’s hair all in the shower. There were stains on the towel that looked so nasty I had to question myself if they were clean or not. The sheet were paper thin and of course nasty brown stains on them. And to top it all off there was an old dirty shirt lying on the floor next to the bed from the previous patron! That was they key indicator that the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned because the shirt we saw within 3 minutes of being in the room. So either spend more money on a better hotel room or sleep in your car… just not here!

It’s badly remodeled, badly managed, and doesn’t deserve the Super 8 name. The lobby smelled like flatulence; or, if you prefer, old food. Equally welcoming, there was some junk out in the court; more junk rested in the laundry room, as did old stains. Inside the room, we had but one working light bulb. One wasn’t working, and the rest were missing. When we asked for some, the clerk just handed us a pack of motley bulbs. Dim bulbs, and in a torn up pack. The lamp with the bad bulb kept cutting out; jiggling the cord in the socket got it to stay on. Inside the bathroom, white paint was peeling off the original 80s pink. There was a small hole in the wall where the door knob had been banged into the wall. The toilet was running. Scratches and scuffs graced most of the wood trim. Generally, it looked like an old, hard-ridden property with some new furniture and an LCDTV shoved in it. No, we didn’t take it. Super 8 should delist this property if conditions don’t improve… if we wanted these conditions, we would have gone elsewhere and spent far less.

Stayed here for a few days 8⁄2013 during a baseball tournament. Easy to get to the Airport fields from here. This hotel is a clean, economy hotel. The rooms were clean, smelled good, and a hot shower. The pool was nice as well. What more can you ask ask for for half the price? The only thing I could improve on, knowing I’m staying at a economy hotel, was the breakfast. My kids wanted some hot waffles. But no biggie… my family would stay here again.
