THISISBUSINESSISFINALLYCLOSEDFORGOOD. The food(dinner) was very good, but the service was horrendous! I’m actually glad to see they’re gone. My wife liked going there and they were way over priced.

The name of this restaurant is not what is shown here. It is called New Orleans Crescent City Diner. We stopped for breakfast and ordered hot tea with our meal. Sounds like a simple request. 10 minutes later the waitress brings one cup of tea in a very large cup that was very heavy. The water was barely warm. She said the other cup would be along shortly. 5 minutes later the other cup arrived also lukewarm. We requested a pot of hot water to warm up our yea. Another 10 minutes goes by and she brings a third enormous cup of Luke warm water. My wife gave up and asked for a glass of ice to make ice tea from hers. I wanted a hot drink so drank my Luke warm tea. It turns out they were using their microwave oven to make 1 cup of hot water at a time. Because their oven was needed for other things the cup was removed before it got hot. This is really a stupid way for a restaurant to make tea. Why not put a pot on the stove? The eggs I had were ok and my wife’s pancakes were fine. The tea situation was just stupid.

Stopped here for dinner when I saw the sign for charbroiled oysters and despite the only Unilocal review being for breakfast. We ordered the oysters as our appetizer and the Cajun pasta and seafood gumbo for dinner. After about a 45 min wait, the oysters came. They had a good flavor but were a tad bit dirty with too much sand. Our dinner came shortly after and it was WELL worth the wait. The gumbo was full of crab meat and even came with snow crab legs on the side. The penne had a wonderful flavor with just enough heat. Each dish tasted individually prepared. I would def come back but on a day when they had more than one cook.

This began as a stellar breakfast place and has expanded into lunch and dinner. I still love the breakfast and I almost always get the English Muffin. The oysters in the po-boy that I had today were more salty than I liked but the bread itself had that crisp crust and soft undercoating that you always hear about in New Orlean The po-boy was $ 8.99 and another 50 cents got me a baked potato.(I could have opted for friess). There are lower calorie meals on the menu, but I can’t say that I’ve tried them.
