It is very good place to stay the rooms are clean. If you stay for 2 days the rooms are clean right away when leave for ski hill and when come back to room the are very clean.

We just stayed here last week. Very nice, updated modern rooms. We stayed on the 2nd floor and the only bad part is that they have no elevators but the building itself is old. I would stay there again.

The Ramada has a great location, right in the middle of the action. You can pretty much walk from anywhere in the town, but you only have about 2 blocks to walk and you’re in the heart of downtown. But it’s also just far enough away that you don’t have to worry about loud, drunk college students walking around outside of the hotel if you need your sleep. A nice feature is their pool that has a few rooms facing out to it, including some rooms on the balcony. They also have a bar, which not every hotel in the area has — I think it’s actually one of 3 in Marquette that also has a bar in the hotel. As for the room itself, it has been clean every time I’ve stayed there and the staff is very accommodating for extra towels or making arrangements that fit your needs. It’s comfortable for a small family, but no need to cram more than 4 people in one room, it starts to feel a little small fast when you add the 5th person. I also noticed a «Marquette Attractions» light-up board in their lobby, I think it was recently added because I never noticed it before. Either way, it’s a cool feature especially for someone visiting for the first time.

My husband and I stayed here while visiting Marquette for a wedding on June 2nd. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, and the hotel bar proved to be a nice spot for our party to hang out and drink well into the evening. The only issue I had was the bathroom, which I thought could have been cleaner. The towels felt more like I had wrapped myself in a doormat. We were also told that our room came with a DVD player, and it didn’t. Also, rooms by the pool are very noisy, but while we were there, the pool hours seemed to be well adhered to so it didn’t interfere with our rest. On a positive note, we thought the hotel was nicely located. Close to some nice shops, a few bars, and it’s a moderate walk to the shore of Lake Superior.

Older facility but it is clean and the service is great. Our nephew is having their reception here and we have been here a couple of days. The rooms are quiet and clean and they do have a pool and sauna. We had breakfast in the hotel this morning and was very tasty. It is not the Ritz and may have a few items missing from a big city place but I will definately stay here again if we have the opportunity.

$ 160 a night? In Marquette? I had sticker shock. We got a room here recently for a wedding weekend because The Landmark was booked and we wanted to be downtown so we didn’t have to cab it after the reception. I was able to get the government discount(still $ 100 a night) and had hoped that they had done some serious renovations since the last time I stayed here. Not the case. The bedding is newer, but our room smelled weird and was otherwise mostly outdated. The pool area was nice, but the hot tub was more like a bath because there were almost no jets. House keeping also hounded us the next morning to check out, starting 2.5 hours before checkout. But, if you can get a reasonable rate, its a decent place and its nice to be right downtown.

Ramada is right off the beaten path on Washington, across from Flanigan’s Bar and walking distance from downtown. I believe its the most reasonable option for people wanting to not drive while in Marquette. I stay here at least once or twice each time I come to Marquette so I can whoop it up at the bars, sit in the hot tub, pool, and listen to some jazz in the bar downstairs. The rooms are ok, try to get a pool side if you don’t mind the noise until pool time closes, but you can sit out on the walkway and watch the entire pool area while the kids swim. Also a great place to throw birthday parties. So for me I way heavily on the location and history when rating the Ramada, if you are in Marquette to judge the room and experience you have while laying on the bed, then you might want to check out the Landmark Inn and pay the premium, otherwise suck it up. Marquette is beautiful, get out and enjoy.
