I love this bakery! Nice variety of breads and some unique items and gluten free options. Best sugar cookies in town and only $ 1.25 each. I highly recommend the croissants, which in my opinion are the BEST item they have… chocolate, plain, cheese or ham and cheese. Simply delightful :)

We stopped by the Marquette Baking Company to stock up on goodies before our next camping trip. We got a loaf of the best sourdough bread this side of San Francisco, and wonderful pastries that left us full but at the same time craving more. We should have also gotten some of the Italian country bread, as the samples were delicious, but next time!

Best baked goods you will ever ever ever eat! So good! They also sell dead river coffee and have a place to sit down and enjoy your purchases right there! They are supporters of local artists and even sell farm fresh milk! Love this place

Perfect place to get a pastry and a decent cup of coffee where you don’t have to speak pseudo Italian to order. No fancy lattes just coffee and good baked goods. I really like the strudels and turnover type things here.

I have to say I like the baked goods a lot. The baguette is one of my favorites but i find myself discovering they have a number of items I’ ve grown to love. the Cardamom Snickerdoodles are the apex of the Snickerdoodles’ evolution. The store is nice and you can see what all the bakers are doing which is nice. If there is a single reason why this shop doesn’t get five stars in my book it’s the customer service. It’s not that it’s bad, it just doesn’t feel great to go in here. the exception to this rule is Michelle, who really raises the bar. So, great bread, try it out.

blech! over-hyped, dry, flavorless. i felt like maybe i was crazy because i was one of very few that saw this crap bread for what it is — crap bread. then, i moved to seattle, and experienced awesome, fresh: artisan” bread! grand central, essential baking company, and wild wheat, to name a few.
