I’m giving 2 stars based on service– the food was done well, though cold due to service staff being horrid. We asked for a cinnamon roll and the staff asked if we wanted it before our meal and warm– which was awesome and I said please– we got it with the meal and it was cold as well as undercooked. I will be returning simply because the meal itself was pretty good, nothing to wow about, just good, but at least it wasn’t horribly processed.

Thought the food was awesome. Ordered the breakfast nachos and it was plentiful and Delish. The rest of our orders were great. And Very attentive staff. The only negative was the slowness of the actual food delivery.

3.5 stars. Nothing fancy, just good solid diner food at a decent price with friendly service. Not the type of place you’d take someone to impress them, but at the same time if you go there you know you’ll get treated right. The type of place you might go when you can’t decide where to go.

food was average for a cookie cutter style restaurant. It looses stars for turning off the house music and wait staff started closing procedures while we were trying to enjoy our meal. RUDE!

Jeffrey’s is our go to restaurant when we are in town. We appreciate that he hires local college students to work there and does a lot to support other local businesses. The food is consistently good. The central location is convenient and if you have a chance to say hello to Jeffrey himself, he is friendly and attentive. As local consumers we all have a civic responsibility to support businesses like Jeffrey’s. He keeps our local college students employed and spending their wages here in our community. No one likes everything on a menu. In fact many people, like ourselves, enjoy specific things at a variety of places we frequent. I would kindly ask all of the lovely consumers that have left or intend to leave reviews that are not so kind, keep your negative opinions at bay and instead of voicing them here or on other public sites first, talk with Jeffrey or his wonderful staff directly about your problems and give them an opportunity to correct the issues. That way your future public reviews can be as supportive as his business and others like his deserve. Thanks for reading and next time you go out have a meal at Jeffrey’s!

All things considered this is a decent family restaurant. I just wish the serving staff appeared in attire befitting a real café. The young man serving there this past summer wore a t shirt, cargo shorts and worn out shoes as if he just got off his skate board. Looking at his hairy legs was not appealing The waitress staff though competent, often wear soiled shirts. Some semblance of staff uniforms would give this place a better impression to its patrons. Simply going to Walmart one will find Dickie pants and white shirts for little money. Would a tie and waiters apron be asking too much? Ordering Mozo Shoes is not difficult and all of this is tax deductible at fiscal year end. There is no second chance for a first impression. If the serving staff looks disheveled, one wonders what is going on in the kitchen

Jeffrey’s was a classic greasy spoon breakfast that was totally necessary after a night of taking some out of town friends out the night before. Your classic eggs, bacon, hashbrown, toast combo. I thought it was pretty darn good! I would go here again for breakfast.

I have been to other diners in Marquette that seem to put a little more soul into their food. That does not mean Jeffrey’s is not worth the visit. As a matter of fact, I really enjoyed the steak and eggs I ordered. It just didn’t seem like the environment was cozy. Almost touristy, I saw lots of parents eating with their kids, probably attending NMU. It felt too crowded, but the menu strongly mirrors IHOP so it would stand to reason that it would stay busy. This is a reliable and reasonably-priced place to have breakfast.

Even on a busy Sunday morning, more than 40 minutes to wait for our breakfast seems a little long. Portions were generous, but little flavor in my California omelette. Western omelette was good, but the pieces of green pepper should have been cut smaller.

If you would like to die waiting for your food this is the place for you. Drink refills are out of the question as well. The table was filthy. The glass was broken so they literally duct taped the corner of the table top. I am all about dive diners with great food and prices but this is intolerable. Don’t waste your time or money.

I got to know Jeff before I knew of his restaurant. When he invited me to try it out sometime, I took him up on his offer. I attended with my dad one morning and it was certainly a common idea for many others that day. We had to wait a long time to get seated, but that’s because so many people are willing to wait for the high quality of food and service that Jeffrey’s delivers. The owner is one of the nicest business owners in Marquette, which is hard to achieve, because they all seem so nice! The waitstaff is pleasant, speedy and attentive. However, one time I came I was really unimpressed with the waitress. She proceeded to argue with me about sports and the city I’m from. She was surprisingly rude and frankly quite ballsy to say some of the things she did. I was not happy with that aspect of my visit but I addressed that with a lower percentage tip than I usually do. Other than that one bad experience, I have nothing but good things to say about Jeffrey’s. The food is very tasty! Be careful when there are big things going on in Marquette such as dog sled races, NMU graduation, mothers day, because it tends to get packed. So if you have some extra time to wait, and you’re not so hungry that your stomach is eating itself already, go treat yourself to breakfast here!

What’s up with Jeffery’s? For years it was our go to place for breakfast. Today we had terrible service and not the greatest food. I sat next to a window and the draft coming in was so bad I stuffed my down coat over it. When I asked the waitress why it took over a half hour to get four simple breakfasts she said«well it’s Sunday» and when she gave us the check her quip was«Merry Christmas, my gift to you, a bill.» Really! Won’t be back there for a while.

Family-style restaurant, breakfast all day, bottomless(drinkable) coffee, and a lovely and competent staff– what more do you want from your local diner?! This place treats their employees well, and it shows, because they treat their customers well. They are personable, informed, and attentive, even when busy. The food is above par, on all levels, and they have a hearty breakfast selection, along with quite a good many lunch and dinner options that are great. It is one of the few places in Marquette where your steak or burger will actually be cooked how you ask(and we all know how hard it can be to get a medium rare burger). And, great fries and soup options, and a menu that is friendly to vegetarian and gluten-free folks, alike. You want pie, you say? They have that covered, too! Can’t praise this place enough; I consider it a hidden little gem in this town.

Stopped here for a late night dinner. It is «Jeffrey’s» as others have said. Very good cobb salad – one of the best I’ve had. My daughter’s oriental chicken salad and my husband’s fish dinner were also excellent. I’d give it 5 stars, but this is the only time I’ve been there. I will go again probably since we are in Marquette a few times a year.

Tommy’s — Now Jeffery’s — is great! Amazing salads, good specials, and just darn good cooking.
