An interesting general store. Lots of neat stuff, I always get a cup of soup, and I’ve never been disappointed. The owners are pretty much always there, friendly and fun to talk to. takeaway point — try the soup!

OUTSTANDING. My Husband and I split a pastrami sandwich and Mexican sushi. Organic, locally-sourced ingredients. FRESH. The flavors are amazing. The staff are Wonderful — I just can’t say enough about this place! We bought the two(fresh) soups that were offered(today) Miso Mushroom and Cheddar Ale and brought them to my Mother-in-law… it took every ounce of self-control to not try the soup on the three-block ride to her house! We cannot wait to go back and try one of their other amazing sandwiches, sushi selections, soups and bowls. This is what GREAT food tastes like!

This is where we buy most of our groceries these days, especially coffee, beer, beef and pork. Lots of gluten-friendly options too. Meat and produce is all locally raised. I’ve got some short ribs in the crockpot right now! Jeremy and Melanie are carving out a nice niche that’s been missing in the MQT community since the coop went corporate on us. The Moose is the ONLY place in town to get U.P. grown apples, pears, and even peaches. They also make decent sandwiches and if you get a chance to try the Yooper Sushi then do it!

While on vacation we found this little hidden gem in Marquette. It offers a wide variety of gluten free and organic food options, bulk spices, organic soaps, lip balm, etc. It was a real treat to spend time looking at all the offerings. The owner, Jeremy, introduced himself, was very helpful, friendly and informative. I highly recommend the Wow brand cookies, Lemon Burst were our favorite. If you find yourself in Marquette this is definitely worth a visit.
