I can say it’s probably good for playing sports, but as for watching sports? The seats are very uncomfortable and crunched together. Anytime a person needs to get in or out, the entire row pretty much needs to stand up. I felt like my knees could hit the head of the person in front of me. Been to a few other ice arenas and didn’t have this experience. Also, be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes to leave, as the parking lots are all very throttled in design. It’s also a terrible building, acoustically, for concerts. Been to one of those here, and it was completely disappointing sound-wise. Other than the discomfort, the bathrooms were clean, concessions were pretty standard, and the facility was clean. During hockey games, there were a lot of unsupervised kids running around and bumping into everybody, but that’s not Northern’s fault, just their guests.

I have seen many hockey games here at «The Berry». It’s a great place to watch a hockey game. The concessions are reasonably priced and suitably adequately average in quality. You can get a great view of the ice from pretty much every seat. This place gets packed for big games especially when Michigan or Michigan State come to town, so get your tickets early from the bookstore in the University Center, Dome, or Berry. Parking is ample, but be prepared to pay $ 2 unless you want to park on the street. Overall a nice facility perfect for a night of great college hockey!

Great arena for hockey games and open skating. All the sight lines are good and the facility is kept clean. The seats are comfortable and not too bunched together. Could use a gift shop to sell merch, but the stands they set up are good too.
