Probably the best area grocer for selection and value though Trader Joes is cheaper for the items it carries, some unique to TJ so we go there first. Avoid crowds though and shop early. I spoke with managers trying to make improvements to personnel and service. There’s a new high speed auto scanner there that does speed up things a bit at check out.

I work nearby so I go here on my way home or to grab stuff for some office parties. I love Shoprite. but this one is. lacking. Their layout is very strange in comparison to the few I frequent near my house. I know it can depend on the ‘family’ that owns it– but their supply of certain meats and fish were limited and to be honest– pretty disappointing. Everytime I go here the lines are long and take forever. And most of the customers tend to be grumpy. Would it kill you to maybe smile at your cashier? Jeeeesh.

Not my usual Shoprite but was in the area and needed to do some shopping. The store is clean and the staff friendly. They had a couple of areas in their store that mine does not. Prices were standard, they usually have decent sale items. A good experience.

As far as Shoprite stores are concerned, this one is definitely my favorite. The selections, the staff and the less sketchy feel makes it a go to for me despite being on the opposite side of town(there’s another one closer towards Philly). Food — usually a great selection of produce that’s fresh, well displayed and with plenty of options. For those bargain hunters check out the deli section with all of the prepackaged cheeses. There’s usually a small section where they package and sell the ends of deli meats and cheeses at a hugely discounted price. I call it mystery sandwich, but I’ve also thrown in various flavors of turkey and ham into casseroles. Another nice aspect is the ‘healthy’ section. All organic with plenty of non-dairy, gluten free, etc. items crammed into one so you don’t have to go searching the entire store. There’s also usually a person around who may be able to help if you’re looking for a hard to find item. I enjoy going to the butcher/fish counter as well and asking for custom cut meats which they do not mind doing at all. I usually go for short ribs since the ones on display are cut too thinly for my tastes. Look for family sized items(which I’ve found at other locations too). We drink a lot of almond milk and there is usually a 2 pack of Silk unsweetened vanilla that’s the same or cheaper than buying the single carton containers.) On the weekends, they’ll sometimes have tables set up for tasting samples which reminds me of days we used to go to the wholesale stores. A real treat is that this location is near a Kohl’s(which greatly satisfies the Mrs.) as well as a Petsmart and a Wineworks. All the necessities rolled in one. *They’re in the process of building a Wawa gas station combo across the street so stay tuned!

This Shoprite is the best one I have ever shopped at. I don’t find the staff here rude at all. They don’t hug me when I walk in but I’m okay with that.

I have a mixed review of this place where I have been a customer since I was a kid. Great variety and they keep up with the food trends, but there are an extraordinarily high number of employees with poor attitudes. Some people are very nice, but most of the long timers have poor attitudes and I suspect they truly resent the customers. Does management treat them poorly or do they just let them get away with being ridiculously unpleasant? Is it their baseline? If not for the aforementioned employees, I would give 4 – 5 stars.
