Great golf club, close to Philadelphia. The holes are all pretty close to each other, but so are the trees.

This course used to be private I was told, but once you get there you quickly realize that there is probably a few reasons that it is not any longer. The course has a nice layout, there’s a variety of different shots to be made here, you can’t just grab a driver and smash it down the fairway, it does require some thought. The greens are also decent and somewhat challenging which was unexpected. So while it has a nice layout and the greens are decent, it does lack in other areas. I’d say that overall, the course lacks in maintenance. The tee boxes were mostly closed due them being redone, the fairways are patchy and ragged, the sand bunkers are awful, and the signage is terrible. Despite its flaws, I can get out here on a Saturday morning before 7AM and play a round in under 4 hours for about $ 42 which is fantastic. I like to go with friends that aren’t as serious about golf because it’s cheap while also being a very pretty course overall.

I played the Links Golf Club on November 1, 2014 as part of a golf outing. If you live in the area, you know that it was low 40’s and rained heavily over night. The golf course told us first thing in the morning that our 10am shotgun start would have to get pushed back till at least noon. It continued raining throughout the morning and was still raining at noon. Finally the call was made that we were going to try to play 9 holes. Considering it rained(heavily at times) for the first 9 of our round, I am not going to comment much on the condition of the course other than stating that I thought it handled the amount of water we received in 24 hours very well. I enjoyed the layout of the course a lot. As I have said other place, I like a course that makes you consider what club to hit off the tee instead of just pounding a driver as far down the hole as possible. This course definitely has a few holes that make you think. I liked the overall layout of the course and would like to go back in better weather to really check the course out.
