I called the maids to receive a quote for a 2 bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room, one floor apartment. I would say no more than 750 sq ft. The quote was for 180 dollars for one hour worth of cleaning or 2.5 hours for 450 dollars. I immediately thought this was an outrageous cost for that small of a space, but was convinced that the cleaning would be exceptional and I would get my money’s worth. I also did not expect four people to take more than 1 hour to do the cleaning I requested. Wet mopping the floors and dusting surfaces. I scheduled the appt for today and when the four cleaners showed at my house I received a call it would in fact take 2.5 hours to clean. I already put down a 90 dollar non refundable deposit and was in disagreement with the estimate. I told the woman on the phone that I did not agree and that I would prefer no cleaning. She said they could cap it off at one hour and would prioritize certain rooms. At that point I said fine to the kitchen and bathroom. I imagined they would spot clean the other rooms since there were four people out of courtesy, I was wrong! I just got home and the kitchen and bathroom were cleaned but they must have began in the master bedroom and swept under the bed leaving whatever was under there out, i.e. Dust bunnies. I also checked cabinets in the bathroom and the other surfaces were not wiped down. Overall, the cleaning I paid almost two hundred dollars for was definitely not worth it and I still have three other rooms that need to be cleaned. And I have trash to pick up because they were not even considerate enough to sweep it up. I had a private house cleaner do my entire apartment for 80 dollars and she puts the team of four professional cleaners to shame. I am completely dissatisfied and will not recommend the maids of Worcester/Marlboro to anyone looking for a cleaning service. You are better off hiring a private person. In the response below, you did enter my bedroom. There were shoe boxes swept from under the bed and left out, and the bed was made as well as my sons bed which was not made before I left for the day. I am strictly talking common courtesy at this point and also after discussion with some other people who received quotes from the maids, being exactly the same for an 1800 square foot home vs my 800 square foot apartment, I don’t think the pricing is fair and quite frankly I was still disappointed with the service level and performance of the four person team who entered and I will not use the service again even for free.

This business, unfortunately, is unethical. I called to inquire about getting a whole house clean to prepare my house to be put on the market. I asked if they needed to come see the house first to give me an estimate and was told no, they could do it over the phone if I provided square footage, details, etc. We had already cleaned out the clutter so our house just needed a full scrubbing. They quoted us a price range($ 275-$ 575 for a 1600 sq ft house). When I asked, how is it determined if the final price is at the low end of the range or the high end, the woman told me it depended how messy the house was. Confident that my house is no messier than the average, I agreed. During the cleaning, I get a call from the woman in the office — the maids are reporting my house is «extremely messy» and will be charging me «$ 100» over the MAXIMUM price quoted($ 675!!!)! I was shocked. The way she was talking to me you would have thought they were cleaning a frat house with trash everywhere. There was no trash — and furniture was cleared off of all knick knacks because of putting our house on the market! When we inspected the home afterwards, expecting perfection since we were charged so outrageously, we found a house that was cleaned to a «C» standard. The bathrooms, fridge, and countertops were clean. But they put no efforts into the floors and we had to reclean the floor in the living room because there was grime left on the hardwood floor. We also had to scrub at the stove more as it wasn’t totally clean. In addition, I had a sentimental ornament made by my late grandmother hanging from a window — it was broken. We called and complained and got the extra $ 100 taken off the bill but it should have been more. I will never use this company again.
