I really like this place. Very much an independent coffee shop. Convenient for me since i live close by. The ice coffee is always a better flavor than starbucks and dunks. The pricing is just a bit over dunks. Friendly and quick staff, i hope they grow and open more locations.

More spacious and roomy than most coffee shops, with a whole area in the back — far better than Starbucks, with better options for coffee and tea drinks than most places. When I went, I was on a temporary coffee-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free diet(I know, I’m no fun), so I couldn’t partake in their delicious-sounding offerings like peanut butter brittle latte, and other special flavors. I did get a mate latte with almond milk, and was happy there were things that I could actually have. Prices are pretty much in line with Starbucks — an iced coffee was $ 2.70, a large tea is $ 3.15, and I paid $ 0.75 to make it a tea latte($ 0.25) with almond milk($ 0.50). There were maybe 6 – 7 tables /chairs to work at in the front; we were a group of 4 and someone working there was kind enough to direct us to the back where there was a large room with paintings on the wall and a kitchen. It was quiet, peaceful, and the WiFi worked well. The WiFi is free, just ask them for the password at the front. They had 2 bathrooms, both of which were clean, spacious, and well maintained. I’d come back here if I was in the area. The only gripe was that there wasn’t a lot of parking in the lot(only room for 4 – 5 cars), but I was able to find parking on the street right in front. Solid offering of coffee drinks, teas, baked goods, quiche, KIND bars, and other snacks, so you should be able to find something that caters to your taste.

This place is very pleasant to go to. It’s like a whole«experience» going there. You can pick up a cup of coffee and a slice of quiche and leave right away, or you can sit and work at one of the tables with a delightful beverage for hours. In addition there is a gallery where you can go look at paintings. It’s very cozy and unique for a coffee shop. I will say that the coffee drinks are pretty expensive, similar or more expensive than Starbucks, BUT they are very good and different. I would consider it «worth it» for the«experience».

Quaint little coffee shop that’s great to sit down in for a while and talk. They provide a few card games too. Drinks were good, atmosphere isn’t loud or commercial. Not many tables or much parking. Great for couples.

Stopped in here recently while visiting relatives in the area. The coffee was good(my boyfriend got a small dark roast I believe, I got a triple espresso with a splash of soy), and the baristas were warm, helpful, and friendly. I also liked the atmosphere of the place — warm and cozy, and a nice balance between too loud and creepily quiet. They have free wireless, so I could definitely see myself going here regularly to do work and/or just hang out if I lived in the area. I will definitely keep this place in mind if I happen to be back in Massachusetts and need a comfy place to hide from my family. ;)

Best coffee in Marlborough hands down. They serve Jims organic coffee. Why someone would go to starsucks or dirty Dunkin over this spot is beyond my comprehension.

What a hidden gem! This place completely took me by surprise. It’s a modern coffee shop with the loft feel with exposed brick, really cool art and great music. This is the perfect place to sip on a tasty coffee while getting some work done.

Skip the green siren lady and head to the Coffee Loft. It’s not exactly on the main strip, but it’s a really nice spot with a small amount of parking and a ton of space inside. As for the coffee? Yum. I had a double latte, which turned out to be way more coffee than I expected. Sure, the milk art was lacking(who really cares?) but the coffee was quite rich and very strong. They have some pastries, but not a tremendous amount. My chocolate croissant was good. Wifi worked well, there were plenty of power outlets and enough seating of different kinds. I liked it! Best coffee in Marlborough.

I give the place 4 stars for the coffee and 1 star for the atmosphere. Usually a bad vibe is offset by good coffee but they tipped the scale when we last visited. We had to park across the street in the lofts parking lot because the four or five spots outside the shop were full. The lot was about 90% vacant and always is. One of the condo OWNERS came into the shop and demanded to know who parked across the street in their spot. The baristas stood idly by rather than taking care of the situation, so I stood up in front of everyone and identified myself as the perpetrator. I don’t really care about parking in someone else’s lot when it’s empty, and don’t particularly care about being called out in public about it, but to be made to stand out with no solidarity just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. That OWNER went out of their way to make a scene, and that generally earns some comradely with your espresso throwers – not here. Other highlights: shop is usually empty, quiet, sterile, and just seems sad. Closes way too early. Once the barista hushed the live music… ouch. If you want a good cup of joe or a latte, get it to go. P.S: I updated this review to in light of the Loft’s response. P.P.S: See the Loft’s response for added context to this review.

Stopped at the Coffee Loft on the way up to New Hampshire for a conference. We were limited on time and I found the Coffee Lot on Unilocal just in time. It was literally only about 5 minutes off the highway and it was super convenient for a quick on/off pit stop. The serve Jim’s Organic Coffee as their choice of coffee on tap — very impressive. Jim’s is solid coffee that comes in regular roasts as well as flavored(all naturally) and are about 15 $/lb at WF — so this impressed me. They had delectible sounding latte options such as the maple one, I stuck with a black Jim’s coffee however. The space is really what impressed me, located in a loft it has big bright windows and tall ceilings. The hallway near the bathroom boasted some pretty impressive and abstract artwork, which I found I wanted to bring several home! There is also a mini gallery in the loft as well. All in all I was thoroughly impressed by a off-the-whim stop in MA and I’m slightly sad this place is too far for a quick stop from home! Next road trip I’ll be sure to stop back in.

We all have our own idea of what the ideal and«perfect» coffee shop should look and feel like, and this place is my idea of coffee shop perfection, and this is why it’s getting 5 stars, in comparison to other similar coffee shops I’ve visited. My first impression was the interior design/decoration. Between the brick and beam structure, the track lighting, the original artwork, and the nicely selected tables, chairs and couches, they clearly put a lot of effort and thought into making their business comfortable, intimate, and someplace you want to stay and relax. You really feel at peace and at home here. The employees are very pleasant, approachable and helpful. They also add to the ambience of the place, and I found them very friendly and enjoyable. As a first time visitor, that’s important, and they do a nice job of making you feel welcomed. I was also very impressed with the coffee and selection of pastries and other food. They even offer a quiche that I didn’t have, but certainly plan on next time! The choices they have are plentiful, and they seem to offer many varied choices, and have something for everyone. Overall, I’m am very impressed with this business. I will definitely be back, and will certainly tell my friends and family. I was also impressed with how much like«The central perk» from Friends this place is. If you ever watched that show and said«I’d love to go there!»…then you’ve found your place!

No more *bucks! Ever since I discovered The Coffee Loft, I’ve returned as often as possible. The coffee and pastries are fresh and prepared perfectly. The variety of coffees, teas, and drinks is vast. I especially enjoy the cold brewed coffee. What keeps me coming back is the relaxed, friendly, yet quiet ambiance. The loud talk, noise, blaring music, and confusion at *bucks turned me off so much that I’m thrilled I found The Coffee Loft! Don’t change a thing! This place is ideal as is.
