My roommate is absolutely in love with this place. He consistently drives some 45 minutes to come here so tagged along one time. I was fairly disappointed with my experience. Per his recommendation, I tried the picanha and the brisket. The picanha was absolutely delicious; tender and well-seasoned. However, eating the brisket was like chewing leather. It was burned, overcooked, and all-together difficult to eat. The sides at the buffet were also underwhelming. Everything I tried was dry and overcooked. To be fair, we came right around closing, so this may not be an accurate description of what their food tastes like during peak hours. However, I’m surprised that they would be willing to serve such a low quality of food(with the exception of the picanha, which is really the only reason I’m giving a few stars). I’ll make sure to give this place another shot at an earlier time of day and update my review.

This place is really near and dear to my heart. Décor subpar, English of employees slightly hard to understand, and no real explanation on how to do things, yet in the end the food is fantastic. Now, be wary. This review is only based on the foods I like, most the other dishes I’d put at 4 or even 3 stars. My goto is the potato salad, Brazilian style collared greens, plantains, and okra chicken for the buffet line. Next up, for meats, I always get two and only two meats. They are picanha(top cap sirloin) and maca de peito(beef brisket). The picanha is a cut of sirloin with a juicy piece of fat attached on top to infuse the meat with flavor, and is always on point. The brisket however, can get a little dry in the off hours. But they are still Oh so good. I really recommend you come at a prime time and try it out. And all this, for a very reasonable price. Go try it now. It’s one of the better churrascarias in the area, I highly recommend it.

If you are a meat eater this is the place to be. The picana is very good. Great flavor. The linguica sausage takes the same as when I was a kid. Buffet style where you get your food, they weigh it and you sit down to east. Meat portions are huge. My plate was full of meat and buffet and it was less than twenty bucks. Avg plate 12 bucks. Would eat here again

So I gave it another chance after a friend telling me that the food had improved. Why not? Used to be my favorite Brazilian spot. Glad I did it. Major improvement from my last visit, the side dishes were delicious and fresh. The meat tender and not overcooked. Also well seasoned. I will be happy to return to Labareda’s once again and again!

This is not a fancy Churrascaria, but the food is good and the service friendly. Everything is sold by the pound. So, you can either get a decent value or waste money on low cost items like rice. When you walk in, the restaurant looks like your school cafeteria. Plain floor, unassuming tables, a TV blaring in Portuguese — which seems to be either the news, a soccer match or a soap opera.(OK, that part is not like my school.) To the right is a salad bar. Do get the carrot salad, it is delicious. But, choose your other items wisely. When you get to the back, there is a counter from which you order your grilled meats. The beef is where the restaurant shines. I find that the chicken is always dry. But, the good cuts of meat are always tasty — albeit a little too much salt for my liking.

Been here a couple of times and never been disappointed. Large selection of meats hand cut to your preference. Sides are all good.

Excellent food, plenty of seating and nice staff. I haven’t been there in a while and I miss it, it is really great food. It will cost you an average of 9 – 15 dollars depending on how hungry you are but however much it is, it will be worth it. I just keep wishing Brazilian restaurants didn’t have so much fried food.

Great BBQ, just too expensive if your getting it take out(paying for rice and bean weight) but if your sitting down its well worth every penny.

Steak isn’t my first choice of meat, but we picked this place because it offered something everyone would like, from vegans to steak eaters. But the owner greeted us with a complimentary steak to sample, and that was better then steaks I’ve tried at Ruth’s Chris! Perfectly seasoned, super soft, and cooked perfectly. Needless to say, I ordered steak after that delicious morsel. The rest of the food was just as good, although I like to try new foods. Ribs and okra… uuummmm. But the best part of the night was the owner. He was truly a terrific host. I felt like we were in his home, the way he was taking care of us. Such a good man, proud of his cuisine and culture, and rightfully so. Again, the food was phenomenal, but when we left we were talking about his hospitality more then the food. I’ve not eaten somewhere before, where I felt it was an honor to be there, until now. Go! You’ll love it!

I have been to several Brazilian style restaurants. This place was not great. Food was just ok. The atmospher was cold. From the salad bar I got the collards, Brown rice and plaintiffs. Collards were oily, the rice was cold and former than I like. The plantains were good. Had the garlic beef and a chicken wing. Both were just ok. There are so many other better choices in the area.

My first Brazilian food experience! I didnt think it’d be on the east coast though, lol. So you come in, grab a plate, and pile on whatever you want from the salad bar. Then for the premium meats, you go to the counter and ask for the meats you desire. I really liked the chicken sausage and top beef sirloin with garlic. The beef was very tender and tasty. Then after you get the meats, your plate is weighed by the ounce. You pay at the very end of your meal, according to how much food you eat, as indicated by the weight in ounces you’ve accumulated. I was pretty stuffed after 1 plate of food, which cost less than $ 10. I would recommend NOT filling your plate with too much stuff from the salad bar area. I got a bit of rice and salad to complement the meats. Also do NOT get any of the meats from the salad bar. save yourself for the premium meats at the counter!

Walked in at 1 pm on a Sunday. Nobody greeted us, sat down on our own, nobody approached us. Everybody was behind the counter, one of the employees was seated stuffing his face in front of the restaurant, the rest standing around him watching him. There were 3 other people in the whole restaurant. Sat there for around 5 minutes, still no greeting. No introduction, no explanation to the restaurant. Waitresses didn’t ever help anyone else in the restaurant the whole time I was there, just stood behind the guy stuffing his face. Got up and walked out. An employee eating in front of the whole restaurant? Unacceptable. Place gave me the creeps. Food didn’t look that good sitting out, but I admit I didn’t try it.

Ate here today for the first time with a couple of co-workers. Was expecting a good experience based on the reviews and got just that. Tried a bunch of things from the side buffet; rice & black beans, the chicken salad with potato sticks, plantains, cold marinated beef of some sort, fish in a coconut sauce, all really good. Then went over to the meat counter and got a few things there — sirloin, brisket, chicken w/bacon, chicken heart(I ate two and now possess the power of two full chickens!), and pork sausage. While the hearts are not going to make it into my rotation(tasted fine just not my thing), I loved the rest of the meats. We all agreed that the place is great and reasonably priced, so we plan on going back from time to time when we can!

The ambiance here isn’t anything special but the staff is friendly. You came, however, for the food anyway. The chicken is dry but flavorful. The pork is good and fatty but it has not bite. The chicken sausage is better than expected. The kielbasa is wonderful and the sirloin was perfect. Plantains are delightful All for a really reasonable price.(Based on weight.) The food’s, not yours, thank god.

Clean, comfortable dining experience. You pay at the counter and seat yourself. The only option is «weigh by the pound» for lunch, but there is a great variety offered at the buffet as well as behind the counter(BBQ meats). $ 6.49/lb. The beef boneless ribs were the best. Also enjoyed their fresh juices — I had their caju juice(cashew). Would definitely visit again with friends or family.

I agree with everything positive said below. If you have never had Brazilian food, don’t be afraid as long as you like meat(beef, pork, chicken, fish), you will love it. There are also many non-meat choices. I believe these change somewhat from day to day. There is a picture of the list of meats. Ask them and they will bring out huge skewers so that you can see it and they will tell you what each one was. We had absolutely no language problems. This is a very simple(décor) restaurant. It is a good place to go with kids because it is very casual. Also there must be something for even picky eaters. It is a great idea that you pay by weight. So if you are not sure you will really like something, just take a small portion. In fact you need to take a small portion if you are going to even attempt to try just some of their many different offerings. Don’t overload your plate. At the end of each trip they will weigh the plate and keep a tab. At the end get you bill at the weighing point and pay at the door. It would be great to have some red wine or beer with the food. Guess they don’t want to complicate things. Maybe they should get an Argentinian to help them with that! Definitely want to go again when I visit my brother near by. This place is maybe 5 miles east of I-495 on US20(Boston Post Road). Definitely worth the trip or a detour!

This was a great Brazilian BBQ! Clean and reasonable, but don’t look for ambiance… definetly there for food alone. There meat selection was limited, but the choices offered were delicious. The dessert choices again were limited, but they were yummy.

The reviews here are not at all what they seem. Went there on a Saturday evening, didn’t know they closed at 9PM on a Saturday night??? Anyways, the food was very average, and the meat selections were few. The meat was not of a good quality. The environment looked like a school cafeteria. Would never come back here again.

Nothing bad to say about this place! Went here after looking on Unilocal for a good place in the area for a carnivore to eat, glad I did! It’s not much to look at(but it’s clean and orderly) — and the food is really, REALLY good. As other reviews stated, you pretty much walk in, grab a plate, pick what you want from the buffet then go up to the register area. The guy brings out a bunch of meat from the kitchen and you just tell him what you want and he puts it on your plate. They price by weight — so like others said, if you get all rice or all potato you may feel a little slighted — but I wouldn’t suggest this place to a vegetarian at all. Me, I loaded up on meat(steaks and chicken and various sausages) and a few sides and wow — so delicious. The meat was tender and juicy and flavorful and the sides were great too. And my meal was like $ 7.50 for a nice sized plate and bottle of water. I went on a Tuesday night and they weren’t super busy at all(who is on a Tuesday evening?). We chatted up the people at the front desk to compliment the meal and they were really friendly. According to them, they get a lot of Brazilians there and have recently seen an influx of other locals which they’re really happy about. The fact they get so many Brazilians(everyone else there was in fact Brazilian when I was there) tells me they’re authentic(though really I have no idea if they are lol). The secret is getting out — I just really hope they keep doing what they’re doing despite their growing success! Long story short, though this is a good 25 minute drive from home, I will DEFINITELY be going there again. They also do take out, which makes me wish I lived a lot closer!

This place has great food. Whether or not it’s authentic Brazilian, I have no idea except that it follows all the other supposedly Brazilian food joints I’ve been to. However, the Brazilians I went with approved, so I’d give it the authentic badge by default. The place seems lesser known, so there’s no issue with having to deal with lines, at least for weekend lunches. Meat has got a lot of juice and flavor and the sides are fresh. Loved the brisket and the sausage. Not sure about the pricing, since I got treated out :) EDIT: Pricing is completely acceptable. Instead of having different rates, it looks like everything runs on a flat rate regardless of how much meat is on the plate, but you’re only shooting yourself in the foot for not trying any of the sides. I got stuffed on less than $ 10 of food.
