Consistently pretty good food. Pad Thai is nice and some of the curries and pleasantly spices. Prices and portions are reasonable. We keep going back, makes for good take-out

For years I’ve stopped by here once a month or so for the chicken Pad Thai, which, historically, is the best I’ve had in the area. Two days ago, however, this tradition ended — the Pad Thai was awful. It was obviously pre-cooked and just sitting around. The fresh bean spouts that used to be on the top were missing — they were already mixed in and thus limp. Hardly any scallions, and what was there was overcooked. The chicken was just spread on the top, and not mixed in. While there was a good splash of ground peanuts on top, the net result was pretty bad — even the base flavor was different from the past. Perhaps this place is under new ownership, but Pad Thai is one of the basics — if they can’t get this right, then I’d be suspicious of the rest. Too bad — I’ll miss them.

Very tasty pad thai – full of flavor, not bland like several other Thai places I’ve tried in area. Generous portions.

A friend of mine met here for lunch today and wow, the food was excellent! The food just tasted like it had fresh ingredients! Not many good Thai restaurants in the area, and this one was a jackpot! Keep it up!

I love Thai food, but this place was extremely disappointing. I went in one day and the owner said they were closing and to come back another time. So I did. It is very dark and sketchy inside. I ordered crab rangoons which were overpriced, and frozen inside!!! I also asked for extra spicy drunken noodles and my waitress rudely cut me off and let me know«they are already mildly spicy». I’m very disappointed and will not be returning. Coconut Thai in Wellesley is amazing. I strongly recommend to take a drive out and go there.

I don’t even know if this place qualifies as Thai food. We got takeout because it’s pretty close to us. The menu has quite a few options, so we ordered a variety of things. When we arrived, the restaurant seemed more like someone’s extended dinning room than anything else. It’s a faded pink and everything is covered in plastic. There was only one table with customers. The food we got was bad. None of the veggies were fresh. They were all limp/mushy and drained of color – pathetic. It’s cheaper to buy fresh veggies, especially for a restaurant, so frozen makes no sense. All the appetizers came straight out of the freezer and were poorly reheated. The worst part was the bland flavors, something real Thai food can’t be accused of. Spare your wallet and tastebuds, avoid this place.

This is the best Thai place around. We always have the Pad Thai and panang curry. Apps are good too. Kind of an odd venue but nothing wrong with that!

Huge restaurant, with no one inside. Felt desolate. It was a cold night(even in May weather), and it was freezing! I felt like I had to keep my coat on the entire time. They should downsize the restaurant and renovate it. Hideously tacky decorations– walls were covered with fake dangly flowers. The Pad See Ew dish did not impress me. The noodles were too starchy and overcooked– they were falling apart. It also lacked flavor, and the beef tasted too chewy. Mango sticky rice was the best I’ve ever had though… But that dish is not too complicated.

I only order three things from Chez Siam — curry, rice, and Coca-Cola. This combination is absolutely heavenly, but pricey at around $ 15 when all is said and done. The décor needs some updating as the room is mauve reminding me of an office from the eighties. You may notice that not many people eat here — and I think this is the culprit. It’s also possible that the $ 4 white rice is the culprit, but I have a feeling it’s the former.

I’m sorry but this place is so inconsistent. I just recived take out from here and the shrimp smelt both of chlorine and were completely raw inside. Truly upsetting. Place wasn’t even busy.

Still searching for good thai in the marlborough area… I may be wrong but I’m willing to bet they use frozen vegetables and that’s enough for me to say. Would be much better if they used fresh ingredients.

Quiet place, but the food was not that fresh. If they can have better quality of food, will definitely visit again.

Went for a quiet late lunch last Sunday. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was fresh. The drunken noodles were delicious. The red curry was good, with a sneaky heat. I think I was expecting something different with the pineapple fried rice. It was okay, nothing special. My daughter enjoyed her pad thai(spicy version was not that spicy). I would go back.

Not a bad place, it’s little dull but the food is soo good. I had veg panang curry with veg spring rolls, both tasted good and the price is also reasonable.

Got takeout one and had lunch once. Took several calls to get someone to answer. Pad Thai was good and the serving size left plenty for leftovers. Panang chicken was great. Veggies in it were really fresh and cooked al dente. My husband liked the tamarind duck more than I did. Small serving for the price. When we came for lunch we got a free chicken noodle soup. I got Panang chicken again and my husband had yellow curry which tasted Indian and had what tasted like fresh pineapple. Serving size on both curries was ample. Service was attentive. Restaurent is clean and pleasant. They had what looked like a big function room upstairs.

I’m happy to report that my lunch today was perfect. Best Pad Thai I’ve had in a long time. Flavorful, hot, fresh, and authentic tasting. The Chez Siam rolls were little crispy bits of heaven. The gentleman behind the counter taking orders was really nice. I felt welcome when I walked in. They got my order out to me fast and with a smile. Well done! This is the Chez Siam I know and love.

We first had Chez Siam a few weeks ago and again today. I didn’t write a review the first time because I wasn’t able to get around to it. The first time we had the pineapple fried rice, the ginger chicken and the Chez Siam rolls. The rice was perfectly cooked, the pineapple and shrimp complimented the dish with such a sweetness. The ginger chicken was so fragrant and succulent. It paired well with the jasmine rice. The chez saim rolls are basically spring rolls made with a pork and vegetable mixture, cooked to a perfect crisp. The dipping sauce which was a sweet sauce, with spicy undertones and an umami effect. Today I got the chez Siam rolls as well because they were so amazing last time and they didn’t disappoint. I also got what’s called plajien, which is a fried fish filet with houses special sauce. The fish also had ginger, peppers, onions, straw mushrooms, and jasmine rice. The fish was lightly fried and the sauce was extremely delicious, sweet yet savory and fragrant. I definitely recommend ordering food from this establishment!
