Used to be pretty rock solid. Lines got much longer. Last time I was there, I must have been given the worst piece of bread, and sandwich was very overdone. Blt comes to $ 6.48. I hand cashier $ 11.53. Anyone else see I’m the nice guy saving his 1s and change? Hands me back the $ 1.53 and makes change for $ 10. He could not count it back, when change back was already in the computer for $ 10. Sighs.

I came in for breakfast today and the lady working was very friendly and did not skimp on any of my vegetables in my sandwich. It was very delicious too! I’ll definitely be back.

Alright. I do not usually write negative things about our local businesses, but today Subway has left me no choice. I go in and order 4 six inchers. 1 is a cold sammy the other 3 are meatballs. The guy pushes the cold one to the side and starts asking me what i want for the other 3… as im answering him, the girl starts asking me what kind of veggies i want on my cold one. i told her i was still trying to talk to the guy and tell him what i want. I felt like i was being torn in two trying to communicate these things to two different people at the same damn time. As I am paying attention to her, because she kept skipping things, the guy went about making my meatballs. I let her know i am frustrated with how that happened and told her i really hope these are not screwed up. She rings me up, knowing im frustrated. As we walk out the door, i ask her where the reciept is… she tells me in the bag. I took her word for it. So when I get home we find the meatball sammys only have 2 meatballs each. =(and I already planned on doing the survey regarding her attitude and chaotic way of doing things… guess what. no receipt. I am pretty sure she did that on purpose so I cannot complain about her. So I try calling down to Subway… 2097422222 and i repeatedly get a damn answering machine. So here I am on Unilocal. I spent 20 bucks there, got only 2 meatballs per six inch sandwich, no receipt, major attitude, and she put oil on my cold sandwich even though i said no OIL like 4 times.

We had driven 44 miles from Yosemite Lodge at the Falls, when the wife needed to make a pit stop after drinking coffee, after 70 minutes of driving on 35 mph mountain roads. We checked out the Subways in Mariposa on the corner of route 140 and 7th street. Parking tight in the front diagonal spaces –expect car dings from the car on the slope above you. We park in one of the parking lots a block away in the back. I come dressed in shorts, short sleeves and $ 100 Chakos womens sports sandals, with the wife bundled up head to toe on the sunny cold November day. We get immediate service with a smile, and order the foot long meatball marinara at $ 5.50 before tax, on honey grain bread, with provolone cheese, toasted. The wife gets olives, pickles, cucumbers, spinach, and lettuce on her half, while yours truly gets jalepenos, yellow peppers, lettuce, onions, more onions, more onions and … An old timer in the background shouts cookies! The sandwich is so spicy hot that I’m exhailing fire fumes like the dragon in Lord of the Rings! We get excellent service, contrary to previous Unilocal reviews. Someone must have heard that we were coming, or Subways corporate headquarters decided that heads must roll –maybe they did. And where did the meatballs came from? Meat by products? No, meatballs from terminated meathead employees?! A Chinese group comes in, rejecting the China Station restaurant down the block. The wife picks up her half of the foot long sandwich, with the meatball on the end falling out of the sandwich. She doesn’t notice it, as I discretely scoop it into my sandwich. This is the mother of all messy sandwiches, 8 meatballs, with marinara sauces on both of our faces, looking like toddlers playing with their food! We both use the spotlessly clean bathrooms, separate for men and women. So clean that the men’s bathroom has no pool of liquid in front of the toilet, that I usually see. I guess the locals have better aim than the tourists at Yosemite!

What the heck This is a subway and staff very efficient and made our foot long just as ordered. It was $ 5 what are you talking about overcharge people. Best subway with super fresh bread and ingredients . We took the sandwich up to Glacier Point in Yosemtie with a bottle of wine and tourist were taking our pictures saying what a great idea. A+ for this place.

Stopped at this Subway on our way to Yosemite, and I noticed that I was overcharge. When I went back to ask the manager about the additional charge on my receipt, she became extremely defensive and belligerent, as if she was auditioning for the Jerry Springer Show. Her reaction was so out of left field, not to mention completely unprofessional, it made me wonder whether the overcharge was indeed a «mistake». My guess is that since the majority of their customers are tourists who don’t pay much attention to their receipts, esp. from a fast food restaurant, overcharging few extra bucks goes unnoticed. Whether this is done intentionally or not, I find it and her horrible attitude absolutely shameful. A word of warning to the patrons, check your receipt at the counter before you leave!

You can’t go wrong with the food. The sandwich the girl made for me looked like the photo on the menu! It was gorgeous. The staff? Customer service is NOT their forte. In fact, one of the employees came out from behind the counter, cut in front of me and my family, and bought a cookie, THEN clocked out for lunch. Nuts. I’ll go there again… if I’m desperate.

Although I read some of the reviews warning me about this place, I was stupid enough to walk in anyways. I arrived at 9:15pm(they close at 10:00 pm) and everything was already turned off. Three employees were sitting at a table chatting to each other and asked me if I wanted food(duh… should have said no and walked out). The girl who made my sandwich was obviously annoyed by having to stand up and put no effort into getting a decent sandwich together. I ended up with cold meat on a sandwich she tried to warm up in the microwave(the oven was turned off). «A bit of ranch» was interpreted as «please drown the whole sandwich in ranch» making the sandwich even less tasty. I’ve always enjoyed subway, this is the only exception(I didn’t even finish the sandwich). Please don’t make the same mistake as I did and listen to the other reviewers!

Wow, if you ever want to experience what good customer service is NOT, go to the Mariposa Subway. I was absolutely stunned at the indifferent attitude of the woman serving another customer when I walked in the store. Not only did she behave as though she was better than her job and that her customers were a bother, she moved so deliberately slowly that it was almost comical. There were already four people in line when I entered the store. Another employee was in the back and one more on the phone(her cell phone). When the other two employees joined in, things started moving and it was clear these two knew the routine. However, they behaved as though they were suffering somehow. I didn’t realize what might be going on until I reached the cash register where the first indifferent employee was now working. Turned out she is the supervisor! What a shock! This woman(I believe her name was Sherry or Shelly) is absolutely toxic. She was borderline rude to customers and I’m certain the employees who report to her are not happy campers! Clearly she thinks she’s better than her job and therefore not where she should be in life. The owner of this business would well serve her, his other employees and the customers who walk in the door by allowing her the opportunity to find another job that better suits her poor attitude and rotten customer service.

This is a brand new Subway that opened up in November. Several months later this store is still working out the kinks. Not exactly the well oiled machine of other Subways, but still provides the same sandwiches I’m used to. This location offers individuals pizzas in addition to the healthy fare. One thing that’s nice is the historic photos framed on the wall to show what Mariposa used to look like when it was a mining town. This helps add some of that historic flavor to a new business that’s located in the heart of the old town.
