A real old-school drive-in. Tucked away on the north side of Marion, it looks like it hasn’t changed in 50 years, and probably hasn’t. Pull in, order from the board, and get the tray hanging on your window. We had just eaten, but had to get some root beer. It’s the same stuff as in the bottles; unlike A&W, it doesn’t taste different on draft. Good root beer all around: sweet but not overly so, good sassafras flavor, a bit of bite. I had a glass and a float. Tip: if you get a float, get some plain on the side so you can refill to your preferences. I got a small float and a quart of root beer; that was too much for the refilling, but hey, I drank the rest! Sweetie got a small root beer, plus some strawberry pie. In-season only, made with fresh berries; she said it was good, not great. There are a few picnic tables in back, and plenty of drive-in spots. Service was great. Prices are very good. Stop in during the summer, and relive your youth or get a taste of how things used to be.

This took me back to high school! This is a TRUE drive in – you can keep it, Sonic! I asked the voice on the order board if I should have the Garbage Burger or Sloppy Joe – she said Garbage Burger and she was right. Now, I don’t eat like this a lot but if you’re going to have drive in food, you can’t go wrong here! The diet root beer tastes like regular yummy root beer and their magical frosty mugs keep it ice cold until the last drop. Fast and friendly service too.

I love this place. We can not wait for spring to come around every year for them to open! Hands down best drive in dining in town.

Even though i didn’t grow up in the bright era of drive in dinning, I just love this kinda place. Good burger and even better rootbeer. And go ahead and try the fried mushrooms, I won’t tell the Dr. on ya.

Great root beer. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Burgers are very good as well. I took a gallon of root beer to go. Can’t be beat for a summer dinner

Growing up, I would come here after little league baseball games, which are played only a few blocks away. It’s hard to find a drive-in rootbeer stand these days, and this Stewart’s frosty mugs and burgers are wonderfully refreshing.
