They catered for a meeting that I attended today. The meeting charged $ 18, but not sure how much of this went to the cost of the meal. It was a wrap/salad/soup buffet. The table set up was very simple. I think our host had put the tablecloths on, so there wasn’t anything special about the look of the buffet line. First up was the silverware and plates. It appears that they might have forgotten spoons since the cup of spoons were a different style than the ones in the basket. The fruit salad was basic; watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew and grapes. The cole slaw was really wet and limp. Looked like it was made days in advanced or keep too cold and the cabbage was breaking down. Way too much sauce on it. The wraps were very full and heavy, but the roast beef one I had was just so-so. The wrap bread was tasty and the beef was ok, but the lettuce was wet and seemed to have some type of spread on it already… yuck. I don’t want something on my sandwich that I don’t select. Besides, if you are going to have condiments available I don’t need them to decide for me. There were two soups; broccoli cheese and a tomato/? something green? Kale? Pot? Not sure? Both were very, very thin. The Tomato whatever was almost a broth. Flavor was better than the broccoli. It tasted vile. Cookies for dessert. Ok, you can’t really mess up cookies and these were good. Nothing special, would guess that they were baked from frozen dough. Don’t think Gramma LJ was in the kitchen whipping these up. I don’t have the need for a caterer, but if I did, they would place ahead of Dostals and Hy-Vee, but I would rather find someone that cooks like people want to eat… quality not quantity.
