Food is good, good beer selection but a little pricey for what you get.

My husband and I had heard a lot of great things about Brew Fish and decided to give it a try one Friday night with my mother in law. The day was winding down and it was getting chilly so we opted to eat inside although they had ample setting outside. After a 40 minute wait, we were finally seated near the patio with its large open doors which negated our wait, we were essentially eating outside. Our waitress took a while to greet us and to grab our drink order and was unapologetic. My husband was impressed with the beer choices and enjoyed his selections. We had the Kobe Meatballs and Coconut Shrimp as our appetizers, the meatballs were amazing & so was the bread that accompanied it. For our entrees my mother in law had the fish tacos which she loved, my husband had the fish and chips which were also good. I had the steak tips which were extremely dry and overcooked, the mash potatoes were cold and lumpy. After reading other reviews this seems to be the norm with the steak tips. Our experience was okay, but after $ 130 I’m looking for more than just okay. We will be giving Brew Fish another try though.

My wife & I ate there last night. The Shrimp Scampi was the best I have very had. The Clam Chowder was this and watery. End Zone in New Bedford has the best Clam Chowder in Massachusetts.

FYI, this place is located on Spring Street in Marion, and was formerly known as «The Wave». I had previously ordered takeout pizza from The Wave on a somewhat regular basis. I hadn’t been for years, but today my friend and I went there for the first time since the name change. Not sure if someone new is running it, or if they just needed a new image. I can’t recall what the menu was like last time I was there, but now it features appetizers, salads, burgers and pub sandwiches, seafood, and of course, they still have pizza! Appetizers include chicken wings or tenders in your choice of sauce, sticky ribs, pulled pork nachos, pub style pretzel sticks, and crispy fried coconut shrimp just to name a few. Hot soup of the day is always a good option. Custom design a pizza with any combination of meat, cheese, veggie and seafood(shrimp or scallop) toppings. They also have a list of «customer favorites», some of their most frequently ordered items. These include lobster or buffalo chicken mac and cheese, steak tips marinated in Buzzards Bay IPA(a popular local beer), short rib ragu(boneless short ribs served over pasta), and bone-in rib eye steak They have a kids menu as well. For alcoholic drinks they offer a full bar, and they also have Pepsi soda products. They offer late night specials, as well as brunch on Sunday. Staff are friendly, and prices for regular entrees are pretty decent, Ordering beer, and/or steak will of course, drive the bill up. Food was surprisingly good(Maybe it’s the same as before, but I don’t remember). I got a buffalo chicken pizza($ 10) and a soda,($ 2, with unlimited refills). My friend got the steak tips that came with garlicky mashed potatoes, and sauteed green beans($ 22) and also got a soda. My only gripe is, when I read the description of the buffalo chicken pizza, it said it had red onion on it, so I purposely told them no onion. It came out with onion on it anyway, so I had to send it back and wait for them to make a new one. I had to wait a little while, and my friend had nearly finished his meal by the time the new pizza came out, but at least that time, it was correct. Meanwhile, my friend really liked the steak tips. My pizza was tasty when it came out. The crust was right in the middle of the thickness scale, not too thick, not too thin. I would have liked it thinner, but I’m not complaining. The chicken was also not as spicy as I normally think of buffalo chicken as being. So, a 4 star review. Would have been 5 if they had gotten it right the first time. Still, not a bad place for a meal.

My family had a large gathering here of about forty people in their event room we had two bartenders designated to our event. The food was great but the service was subpar. My family and I both agreed they were awkwardly staring at us throughout the night and the man tried accusing me of having a fake ID because I was out of state. He demanded I give him another form of ID so I found one and the names matched up. First off if I even had a fake ID made to have my name on it what good is that system? Second, don’t ever accuse someone of a fake ID unless you ABSOLUTELY know it is. He was extremely snotty which made a few people a little annoyed. But the food was delicious so I highly recommend it for that part. Another thing I highly disliked was the fact it was 9:15 and we had the room until 10 but the staff decided it was time to move all the chairs and basically made us feel as if we were being pushed out. I work in the industry at a very high end resort and that would never be tolerated. I highly HIGHLY recommend you have a nice talk to your staff about how to handle certain situations. You are being paid for this event by US so do not rush us out. I and my family will never have another event here unless we do not have those bartenders again.

Updated review: staff is now top notch — on our last visit I couldn’t have asked for better service. Food has only increased in quality since they opened — had the pear and arugula salad, so fresh and delicious. Sometimes restaurants skimp on fruit toppings on salads — not this one, great balance of toppings to greens. Patio is wonderful, atmosphere is relaxed. Great place to go for a nice dining out experience.

Great food, great service, and great location. Have to try the fish tacos. Lobster mac is awesome. Fish and chips are the best I’ve ever had. Desserts are to die for. Almond joy cake and bacon chocolate cheesecake are incredible. Craft beer selection is excellent. All local which is nice. Patio is awesome. The fire pit is a great addition.

It’s amazing that I feel this way, but a hugely noisy spot has got this effect on me. It is something to see, and there is little doubt you could. It is the only thing going in the area and that is saying something. It’s been quite a ride the last few years for the Brew Fish management. They have high prices, no doubt about that, but they do in fact carry the right products to get that price. If you are crazy enough to pay $ 8 for a large Budweiser, then shame on you! It’s the other local brews that are worth the price and worth your taste.

Mediocre at best. Interior/atmosphere was nice. Service was very slow when it wasn’t busy. Food was meh. Probably won’t be returning.

We came in tonight pretty late for us(6:30) and were famished. We ordered pulled pork nachos and the hoisin sauced ribs for appetizers. So delicious! The sauces on both had a real good song on them. We then ordered burgers and was very happy with them. My South Coast burger had a ton of flavor and I would order that again. It was very busy and Michelle had a lot of tables, but she was hustling and kept a smile on her face. Go back again without question!

The blue fish is in the spot that used to be the wave. They have redesigned the interior and it looks beautiful they have added a lot of craft beers on tap but they don’t seem to rotate much. It seems to be the same beers all the time. They also have music on Friday and Saturday night which is extremely loud and it is not conducive to talking but if you looking for getting into music and drinking this is your place. They have thin crust pizza and other entrees. The outdoor patio is beautiful when the weather is nice give this place a try and see for yourself what you think

Sticky ribs are amazing. Nice outside seating in summer. Loud enough for kids, nice enough for without them.

Not to be all Unilocal cliché, but«I wish I would have tried this out sooner!». I hadn’t stepped foot into the previous restaurant in years, but they really did a nice job with the interior. It was freezing out the day we went, but there is a nice outside patio for the warmers months with sliding glass doors leading to it. It was busy during a Saturday lunchtime, but we were quickly greeted and seated. Our waitress did take a little while to come by, but was super apologetic. The menu is definitely varied with a little something for everyone. My craft-beer loving husband was happy with the draft list. There’s a lot of local love on it. I had a manhattan, because it was a cold day and I wanted to take the chill out… and I’m a lush. We decided to start with the chicken and lemongrass dumplings and really enjoyed them. I didn’t get a lot of lemongrass flavor, but they were tasty. I ordered the godfather pizza and a caesar side salad. My husband had the tuna steak. The pizza was really good and loaded with toppings. My husband and I both gave it a thumbs up. The salad was a good-sized portion, but just mediocre. My husband really liked his tuna steak. It was encrusted with wasabi peas and served with asian vegetables and rice. We’ll definitely be back and I’ve been told by many that I need to try the ch’ale soup, which is a combination of kale soup and clam chowder.

First time visitor and would return. That said, nothing really stood out meal wise. Son had tuna(but too rare for him), I had steak tips(overlooked for medium– zero flavor). Girl had chicken sandwich, B-friend had shrimp scampi. Portions were fine. App was chick dumplings(10 $)-not worth it. Server was attentive and great. Nice little take-out waiting area. Large enough place with some quieter spots away from bar. No military discounts, $ 2.65(?)charges for soda water & cokes. 2 dif soda glasses were chipped. Keno girl(btender) over paid me $ 20– stood back in area waiting to return it. 4 adults, no alcohol = $ 102.00(w/20% tip).

We stopped in for a late night snack(after 9p) and found that they only had the late-night menu available but were quickly shown to a table and served a bottle of cold water. We ordered wings(which we came for) and found a plentiful selection of local draft beers. Service was great, the Garlic Parmesan wings were generously topped with Parmesan. I found it odd that their order was only 8 wings for $ 7. Overall it was a great experience, I wish we had been able to order from the regular menu(or at least a dozen wings!).

Delicious delicious delicious!!! Service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the baked sea food combo and it could not have been any better. You could tell how fresh the food was as well as timely. My partner ordered a lobster roll which was served with heaping amounts of meat. Would deff come back to try something new on the menu!

Was gonna be a 5 star, but I had a really awful meal tonight. Hanger steak was blah, as were the rice and veg. Have had a burger, pizza, stuffies, salad, lobster roll… All excellent. Maybe it was an off night. Service is fine, the place is clean. I’ll be back but I’ll stick to what I know.

Had the best Lobster roll in the area on Friday from Brewfish’ specials menu. I hope that they plan on making this a regular menu item for the summer. Their version is on a sweet roll and piled high with large chunks of fresh lobster meat with only a small amount of mayo. Was wondering about the sweet roll but it paired perfectly. Don’t miss the opportunity to try this if it is on the menu, you won’t be disappointed.

I went back to the Brew Fish about nine months after our first visit. We went back on a Friday night around 6:30. The parking lot was crowded but we were able to find space for our group of 6. There were a couple of groups ahead of us when we entered. Unfortunately it was a cold rainy April night so the outside patio was not open yet. We had about a 25 minute wait which seemed acceptable for a Friday night. We were seated at one of the high tables with plenty of room for our group. The server came by and took our drink order fairly quickly. They have a large selection of «craft» beers. My wife had an Allagash White and I went with Yuengling — there were plenty of other options. We skipped the appetizers … but did have an order of the beer bread with honey butter. Very good. Service at this point slowed down a little but we did not really mind as we talked. My wife ordered the pan seared scallops and the Mac and Cheese. My wife thought the Mac and Cheese was fabulous. My daughter and I both had the steak tips which we thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant is open and light. It is quite noisy though — consistent with a pub atmosphere. All-in-all we had a good time and would go back.

Went on a busy Saturday night, only had to wait 20 minutes for a table. It was extremely loud, lots of tipsy people screaming at the bar. We started with the free sponge-like bread and sweet butter. It was okay. We got the buffalo chicken nachos for an appetizer. It was presented with 6 chips drizzled with buffalo chicken and ranch. It was very tasty but overpriced at $ 8. For the entrée I got the shrimp scampi pizza. Again it was good but the flavors were kind of bland. Lastly for dessert we got Boston cream cake, again it was just okay. I’m giving it 3 stars because it is really nice on the inside and the waitress was funny. The food needs more flavor! I would never go out of my way to come back here.
