Very wide selection of flavors I would never have thought of but they, surprisingly, work. Jalapeño chocolate?! Yes! Very expensive, though. I’m not a regular consumer of «fine» chocolate(whatever that means) so I’m not sure if the price is unusually high for fancy stuff. But it sure is a lot higher than I would pay normally. Then again, I think Hershey’s is equally good.

This is the destination in Marine for gift giving and seasonal chocolate savoring. In the spring try the violet truffles topped by locally foraged candied wild violets. Their gift boxes are small reliquaries of chocolate jewels, precious and befitting the taste. The staff/chocolatiers are personable and patient with their clients.

I can only speak to the chocolate. They are the best I’ve had. I shop in the store and care nothing about anything but the chocolate, these works of art are well worth the drive.

Discovered this gem on a Wine Tasting Tour in the St. Croix area. What incredibly tasty and beautiful chocolates. I made a trip out there last week to get some for my mom for Mother’s Day. Now she and I are both hooked! I drove up from Chaska– totally worth the drive. Good variety of flavors and both times I was there the staff were so, so friendly. Will definitely be back!

I’m sure these chocolates are delicious if you are able to visit the store in person, so you can ensure you will actually be able to eat them. After hearing great things about these chocolates I placed an order online for Christmas. 10 days after placing the order I still had not received them. Upon checking the tracking information, it appears the package was«undeliverable as addressed». I have placed many ordered with other retailers and never had such an issue. I called St. Croix customer service phone number, and I was more or less told there is no way they addressed the package incorrectly, and I should go figure it out myself. Now, not only will I not have the chocolates I was planning on for Christmas, but I now have to spend hours on the phone with the post office trying to rectify a mistake I did not make. Never again St. Croix!!!

At this lovely little shop I found the best Salt Caramels. EVER. Dark chocolate covered, with the most smooth & silky caramel I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Immensely, I might add. Bonus, they occasionally sell at the Mill City Farmers Market in case you’re not up for the drive to Marine. But take the drive, it’s a nice one any time of the year.

Great little candy shop, better than Godiva and let me tell you I am in the candy club and get some every month. I will go there again for the carmel and everything else. The people who work there are very nice and will tell you all about the candy and how it’s made. It was love at first bite. I am on a diet and will have to eat some candy there anyway. A must stop if in the area. I have been around town for 29 years and this is the best I have found. I hear they will soon partner with the Bikery Du Nord and offer superb coffee beans for sale as well. Love them

Some of the best chocolate I’ve ever had. And that’s saying a lot. Friendly, amazing service. Both of the owners were in the shop when we popped in and they were great. The space is adorably tiny, and you can watch them lovingly making and decorating chocolates in back of the display case. Fun. A chocolate dipped s’more? Yes please. Hazelnut, vanilla bean, peanut butter, and pear caramel chocolates, yum. Um, do you deliver to Boston?!

Chocolate factory with sales open Thursday-Saturday 11 – 7 and Sunday 12 – 5. Free samples! Pull off the highway in Marine and visit this chocolate factory selling tasty and beautifully presented boutique chocolates and truffles handmade on site. Each candy is a little work of art. I sampled the lemon-mint chocolate – delicious! – but I bought a «St. Croix Creamy» which was described as a gianduia chocolate. It was a delicious chocolate, but the gianduia(hazelnut praline) flavor was too subtle to really be tasted. I’ve also tried one with a bit of cayenne in them. The piece was outstanding and perfectly balanced, giving a little kick of spice that never overwhelmed the chocolate. At $ 2 apiece, they are a little pricey, but the chocolate company packages them in affordable, pretty boxes of six. When I travel out of town and want something Minnesotan to give, these are the perfect thing: luxurious, luscious, and beautiful.
