Worst Pastrami I had ever eaten. Outrageously expensive. A Sandwich and Soda cost me just shy of Twenty Dollars. Not worth the price. Owner seemed uninterested when I complained. Would never go back.

OMG the sandwiches here are unreal. They are super huge and tasty. And what a fun place to hang out. If you haven’t done lunch here, you totally need to. Fantastic!

Was looking for a place to grab lunch one day after hiking nearby. Unilocal led me here and I was not disappointed! As soon as I walked in I saw they use Boar’s Head meats and had a variety of salads and sandwich options– sold! I planned to order their veggie panini, but they were somehow out of the veggies so I came up with an alternative(which wasn’t difficult considering the plethora of options). We ordered a Philly cheesesteak(pretty good but they were out of the usual bread so served it on ciabatta which was messy) and the curried chicken sandwich. It was served with some sort of sweet sauce with red onion, lettuce and tomato topped on a wheat roll. Very unique, fresh and flavorful. Sandwiches are around $ 10/ea. Didn’t realize they own the new(ish) Boardwalk Subs on Alvarado St., which is also tasty. Solid choice if in the area

I wanted to try something new one day while I was in Marina. I stopped by Wild Thyme and I would say that I am a fan. I will being going back. I thought it was good food and good customer service.

Food: I loveeee the caesar salad here! The grilled chicken caesar salad is the same as the regular caesar, but it comes with chicken, bacon, and red onions as well. For the half portion it’s about $ 9, but the portion size is well worth the price. It’s definitely filling and $ 9 for a quality meal really isn’t bad! My boyfriend got the tri tip sandwich but wasn’t a huge fan. He said it didn’t really taste like tri tip, and seemed more of like a roast beef sandwich. For $ 10, I think he expected more from it. Service: This is where I need to take a star off. First time I came here, we waited 30 minutes for a take out order that consisted of a half caesar salad, and a sandwich. It wasn’t really crowded either, so I have no idea why they lagged it. The last time I was here, the lady taking our order didn’t seem interested in helping us, and kept trying to go back to the party in front of us. They had already placed their order and were just waiting to pay, but they weren’t in any rush. That kind of made me feel lesser than the other customers, and that’s definitely not how you want potential-returning customers to feel.

Just went to Wild Thyme for lunch. Paid $ 13 for a bag of chips and ham and cheese sandwich. Then had to wait almost 25min for them to make it. It was ridiculous. I like the idea of the restauraunt, but they need to work on pricing and execution. I probably will not be back for a while…

My wife got to Wild Thyme at 3:59 to get a couple of corned beef sandwiches in honor of St Paddy’s Day. Nope, can’t help you, we close at 4:00. That’s OK. The Mecca Deli is just down the street. And English Ales is close you know they will be celebrating SP Day with Corned Beef. Too bad Wild Thyme is so successful they don’t need the business, they sure won’t be getting mine. If going there don’t be late! And don’t expect much in the way of customer service.

I had heard great things about Wild Thyme, so I was disappointed by our meal. The sandwiches were fine, but nothing special. The potato salad was terrible — actually tasted like it might have gone bad. I almost always finish my food or save it for later(and I love all things potato), but we ate three bites between the two of us and threw the potato salad away. Too bad. We will not be returning.

A little disappointed in this place. Came first thing in the morning, and we asked if they were open considering they had the chairs blocking the front door. I ordered their grilled veggie panino and I have to say I was very disappointed in it. I was thinking a variety of veggies, but it consisted of just roasted red bell peppers & grilled onions. Considering that it was still early in the day, I understand. However, it was a little too acidic for my stomach for my first meal of the day. Understandable that their menu stated«assorted veggies», as the description, I just don’t think two different veggies were enough to put on the sandwich. They lady even checked if they had the veggies for it, but I’m not sure if the cooks in the back were ready. I may have to come back again another day and probably in the afternoon when their back of the house is ready.

The company I work at catered some sandwiches with Wild Thyme Deli a couple weeks ago. The sandwiches were okay. Not great.

There are a few places to get sandwiches in Marina, but in my opinion the most notable are Mundos 2 and Wild Thyme. I haven’t had a bad experience at either places and enjoy eating at both, but if I had to choose one it would be Wild Thyme. Wild Thyme obviously has a higher level of fresh ingredients and flavors are consistent. From the tri-tip sandwich to the vegetarian sandwiches all are great. The deli also serves a wide variety of not only salads, but meatloaf, twice baked potatoes and more… Wild Thyme is also a great place to have a glass of wine or a good quality beer. I’ve read complaints about the prices… Paying 9.00 for a quality sandwich is not unusual. Almost every high quality deli or sandwich shop I’ve ate at is in the range of 9.00. Ikes Lair is priced anywhere from 10 to 12 dollars, and I challenge anyone to compare the fresh ingredients. Now for my comparison to Mundos 2. I like Mundos and plan on eating there again, but I still believe hands down Wild Thyme is better. I always leave Mundos feeling overly stuffed and find the flavors in some sandwiches do not blend well I’ve never had a sandwich that felt light, everything I have ate there feels heavy. And the thing the bothers me the most is all too many times I felt there was a microwave involved. Bottom line if you want fresh, light, great blend of flavors eat at Wild Thyme.

Talk about taking something for granted! I’ve been going here for about 9 years and am surprised I haven’t written a review! This little deli is on the pricey side but if you like good food, well… My personal fave is the curried chicken salad sandwich with mango chutney. It wasn’t on my favorite bread this last time so I was a little disappointed with that. There have been a couple of times over the years where timeliness was an issue but I haven’t experienced that in a long time. I’ve also grabbed items from here for last minute dinner guests but they close at 4PM now. Lots of good stuff in the deli case and for catering.

Delicious! So many options, and plenty for my vegetarian diet. Soup and sandwich combo hit the spot and I am looking forward to my next visit.

We used Wild Thyme to cater lunch for our bridal party before our wedding ceremony. Casey was very pleasant to work with and easily catered the menu selections to the specific preferences we had for our big day. The food was displayed nicely and tasted very delicious. We would recommend Wild Thyme for any of your catering needs!

Came here with some people looking for a nice, hearty lunch after a big sporting event… everything looked really good! Great service too! The problem was the food. I ordered the marinated tri-tip sandwich and it just wasn’t good. It was overloaded with some kind of awful mustard sauce that completely dominated the flavor throughout every bite. The only good thing about it was the bread, even though that was oversaturated with the crap mustard as well. Also got a side of cucumber tomato salad that was mostly bland and some pasta salad that was decent but nothing special at all. Also, all of this was far too expensive for the small portion size given. Was truly hoping for more but didn’t get much here. Maybe it was just that particular sandwich that will most likely keep me from coming back to this place, but for now, thoroughly not impressed.

For lunch, I thought I might try a new place and one of my colleagues recommended this Café. When I entered to the café, the first thing I noticed was that almost all the prices started from $ 9. So I expected good sandwiches and salads here. I ordered a salad and a soup of the day. I waited for about 20 minutes or so, and then received the food on the table. The food was less for the price I paid, and it was not that tasty. However, I didn’t like the food. The second time I went there, I loved their chicken panini.
