When it comes to small cardroom action with an at home kind of feeling Mortimer’s should be your place of choice. Friendly staff, great bonuses, the best Blackjack in the area! This little room really packs a punch when it comes to value, entertainment, service, and excitement. From spinning a wheel to winning a pot, I enjoy playing at Mortimer’s. Amazing how there is such a diverse group of people playing cards and doing so in a well organized manner! From complimentary soda, coffee, and good times Mortimer’s understands how to do it right!

Lots of action and there is no commission to play black jack or 3 card poker. They have a 100,000 $ bad beat jackpot. thats not all, they have these royal flush jackpots to. I was there one night and just for being on the table when the guy hit a spade royal flush I got $ 28. That was pretty cool. There’s a action 3 – 6 limit poker game that has a kill, that is if you win 2 in a row the stakes are doubled. All I can say is its a fun safe place to play.

This is a small room with about five poker tables and one blackjack and three card poker table. Nothing fancy. However, the staff is super friendly and you get kind of a «Cheers» feel when you go. Good Mexican restaurant attached… really good food, but lousy service. Bar attached also. They have all kinds of bonus pots for high hand, bad beat, royal flushes, etc. I recommend this place for a friendly game of poker.

It took me until Marina to find out what a card room is. A card room is like a mini casino, except with less smoke, few games, and an equivalent ratio of Vietnamese poker players.
Based on the zero reviews I read of this place before I got here I came with nonexistent expectations, and I was not disappointed. The blackjack table does the 6:5 rule instead of the 3:2 rule, which according to some website decreases your odds of winning by something like 8%, which is huge. Thankfully I’m awesome and won $ 200 here my first day, $ 250 my second day, and -$ 100 my third day. That’s right, I won 3 times in a row.
But in the interests of not winning negative dollars again I probably won’t be going back for a while. Still the dealers are friendly, and they bet on your hands with you. There is something called a «Bust Bonus» where if the dealer busts you get a payout of like 2:1, which could go as high to 200:1 depending on how many cards it takes the dealer to bust. The bust bonus is where the big money is, but it’s also where everyone that goes there loses all of their money.
The locals at the blackjack table are friendly, but the ones at the poker tables argue with such vigor that twice I’ve seen people cry. I can’t really compare this place to other card rooms, but I didn’t dislike it, so 4 stars it is.
