Marina U-Store Self Storage

We signed up and were told we had a certain unit but it was a different unit-​so we got confused and it wasn’t pleasant when we first got there to put stuff in. It seems like no one knows what is going on. Not that impressed. Our contract has two different unit number on it-​interesting!

I’m renting a 5×5 unit at this self storage for two months and have only positive feedback. The units and the territory are very clean, units have easy access. Staff is extremely helpful and polite. Prices are more than affordable. haven’t notice nothing which could be considered as negative. Will definitely keep this place for future.

My experience with this place was horrible. I reserved a storage unit about a week before I had to move my stuff in. They were the cheapest place in town and I didn’t need that much space. I was only able to move my stuff out of my place and into storage on one specific day. I reserved the U-​Haul truck for that same day. I went around 11am that day to pick up the truck and the front gates were locked and no one was there. They open at 9am so they were supposed to be open. I waited for about an hour to see if they would ever show up and of course they did not. I tried calling multiple times to see if anyone was inside and no one picked up. So I had to go next door to Marina Mini Storage because I was only able to move my stuff that day. I explained to Marina Mini Storage what had happened and they gave me a discount AND gave me the truck for free. When I went back to this place to try to get my money back they refused to return any of my money even though I had paid for the whole month, the truck, and a lock from them and never used any of it. They said they don’t do refunds. DO NOT waste your time at this place. Next door at Marina mini storage is way more reliable and trustworthy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

After being a customer here for quite some time paying my usual monthly the storage was great. They even price matched another storage. With that said… Today I called and attempted to make my payment as usual but was surprised with an extra «insurance» charge (either that or provide my own insurance) out of nowhere… I told the the person on the phone I didn’t need it and that I just wanted to make my usual payment. He said he couldn’t take my payment unless I payed the insurance. So it came down to paying the extra money or pulling my stuff out the storage… I will be pulling my stuff out and never doing business with these people again! It’s not even about the extra charge but more about the way they went about applying this charge. Guess the owner woke up one day and deciding to start charging insurance and not notify his customers. Good luck to him and his business ethic.
