Hands down the best place to go when everyone wants something different to eat. They have great sushi, great steak, great pasta, and the Hawaiian Nachos are so crazy good I lobby for Kula’s whenever out of town guests visit. Service is good though I miss the ukulele player who added a funky Hawaiian vibe to the scene.

Have been here before and love the food but not giving a five star review because once again I showed up wanting lunch and it was closed. It says lunch is available at 1130. Or possibly both times I was given wrong information

I ate here twice, once to preview the food for a possible group dining experience and once following the group’s retreat weekend. Though we stayed at The Sanctuary next door, we did not avail ourselves of the closest restaurant. The menu is huge, but on my first visit they did not have several items. And what she did recommend was just ok. Perhaps it’s because of the more luxurious feel at Sanctuary, that I wanted a more«restaurant» experience. Something more than I could do myself at home. That said, I might go back for a gameday experience, the bar and outdoor seating look like it might be a fun place to hangout and watch!

After reading some of the Unilocal reviews before eating here, I decided to play it safe by ordering an appetizer. Ended up with the nachos and for my drink a Mai Tai. Both were a hit. However, my friends had the hardest time trying to order their food. The waiter came back twice to say they didn’t have the ingredients to make a specific dish. Minus stars for that. I did really like the atmosphere. Super cute inside. I had a bonding moment with the hostess, she was super sweet. If I ever end up going back here, I’ll do the same and play it safe by ordering something easy.

I come here for the coffee and the fire pit. Today the coffee was cold there was no sugar and after I asked for some real sugar and got it, my weak coffee was cold. I asked the server why the coffee tasted watered down. She explained that its their same coffee that they always serve. Well sweetie Pie someone didn’t make it correctly. So long ol’ fave! My reason for patronizing your establishment no longer exists.

We have been here twice. This past weekend and 2 years ago. This past weekend we had a great time and great food. We were staying at the Sanctuary. I recommend the big burger with regular fries, the house wedge, the skirt steak(I got mine with mashed potatoes and the mushroom and broccoli sides) and the key lime cheesecake. All were excellent. Theresa was our server and she was perfectly on point! Drinks are pricey. We had our own before we went. :) Also they have lots of TVs which is great for the sports fans. This is not a 5 star steak house so go with average expectations and you shouldn’t be disappointed!

My family ate here yesterday at around 1pm for Thanksgiving and had a pleasant time. The turkey dinner was pretty nice. To read what I especially like about this place please check my previous review. But as you can see I am giving this restaurant less stars this time. First, my family had made reservations to eat at the restaurant at 1 pm. We asked if there was a booth available. The majority of the booths are small. However, there was one in the back that would have been prefect for our group of five. We asked if we could sit there and the waitress insisted that we could not as it was meant for six or more people. Seriously?!? Well, okay. But, my brother is a big guy and the regular seats are small. Still, even after explaining this, she would not budge on the seating. She suggested adding an extra table. Well, that appeared to be okay. However, I ended up sitting near the bathrooms– how delightful… not!!! Also, indeed my brother barely sat comfortably where he was. My boyfriend did not like the seats as they were not cushioned enough. I agree. The table that was added was wobbly. As my family was finishing our meal, I looked over at that booth we wanted and to my surprise there was a group of five people sitting at the booth. The same one that we were told that we could not sit at because we were a party of five!!! We were one of the first groups of people to come and they could not accommodate us… geeze!!! Then there was the issue with the desert. My dad does not like anything that has pumpkin in it. They had nothing for desert except for pumpkin crème brûlée and pumpkin pie. Seriously?!? Not everyone like pumpkin. They had no other options. Last, I did not like the garlic green beans. There was too much garlic on them. But the rest of the entrée I liked especially the yams and turkey. Pros: –great Hawaiian themed atmosphere –most of their food is tasty –dog friendly patio –great happy hour –located right on the Marina beach Cons: –entrees are pricey –guests may not get the seating they want –holiday meals have limited choices

I read a lot of reviews before choosing to eat at this restaurant, the only food purveyors on site at the Sanctuary Beach Resort. I was not surprised to find a kitchy loud sportsbar type environment. We dove straight in and sat at the bar itself, as we’d left our pup in their kennel for our meal and didn’t want to have a prolonged meal. (The restaurant patio is dog friendly, I should mention!) We were fully prepared for mediocrity, and we were not impressed or disappointed in any of the experience. The bar was SUPERLOUD, in part I’m sure, due to a large biker party seated directly behind us. The menu was large, and we ordered the nachos and a couple drinks. The kosmo was sugary as hell, which I signed on for, so that was fine. It was also HUGE, which was a groovy bonus. The nachos were likewise ginormous, and we could totally see ourselves craving them after a long night of indulging in beer. Service was quick and courteous. The sushi I had for entrée was not as described on the menu, but bad on me for ordering without asking to specify. My husband ordered and LOVED the prime rib, he was super impressed by this option. I grieve that I left half my sushi behind when we finished our meal, I definitely would have enjoyed it an hour or two later. All in all a loudish bar with excellent drunk-food.

With my parents and aunt staying at the Sanctuary Beach Resort next door it made sense to catch an early dinner at Kula Ranch. My wife and I had eaten here previously and were less than impressed with the slow service. On this visit the service could not have been better. Our server Susan went over and above to make sure everything was perfect for my visiting relatives. Three of us had the skirt steak offering. The steak is on the smaller side but the the flavor is second to none. My mom enjoyed her prawn appetizer as dinner. The three if them had desert and all agreed the key lime cheesecake was a five star awardee. I cannot find any fault with our dining experience. Thank you Susan for taking good care of my elderly relatives with such care.

This was not a good experience. The only thing saving this was the staff who helped us while we were there. We ordered take out on a Friday night since this was across from the hotel we were staying at. We ordered pizza and the Hawaiian nachos. The pizza wasn’t too bad but the Hawaiian nachos were just plain gross. The sauce was super salty and made the overall taste just undesirable. The chicken used on them was also chewy. Next time we are in the area we may give it another try but definitely not the nachos!
We had room service from Kula Ranch during our stay at the Sanctuary Beach Resort and the food was spectacular. Not only did the food arrive 15 minutes after ordering but it tasted spectacular. Serving sizes were large and more then filling. Definitely a must try for tourists
