3.5 stars. Location: Convenient. Located near shopping and AMC. Parking: Free and lots of space. Always a plus 1-star in my book. Customer Service: Genuinely warmly greeted upon entry. Being my first time, I need guidance. The cashier happily suggested his favorites. Cool. Ambience: New and clean feeling. It definitely makes me want to hang out & eat there with friends. Food: The burger is pretty good. I had the Lounge Burger. It seemed only fitting because I purposely wanted to compare them to In-N-Out. It was decent, juicy, and fresh tasting. Plus it’s nice to know the beef is grass-fed. What I loved was their dipping sauces. I thought it was pretty cool that they put a personalized twist on traditional flavors like BBQ and ketchup. They’re not heavy sauce texture at all but more like a vinaigrette. Not sure how its made, but its good. And a must to add onto your burger. They’re fries were okay. Next time I want to try the Patty Melt because that looks amazing. Definitely a fan. Burger Lounge makes for a cool spot to eat with friends. But for the price, I personally love In-N-Out more, so I’d probably just grab that if I was dining solo.

The place smelled great! Ended up there killing time while waiting for dine-in movie. We found ourselves starving, but didn’t want to kill our hunger off for obvious reasons. Ordered a duo… fries and onion rings plate. Not sure if it was because we were starving, and slightly intoxicated, but they were THEEBEST onion rings and fries EVAAAR! Just the right amount of crunch without the excess grease. Cute atmosphere too — hipster meets Norms. Your favorite mom & pop breakfast spot with the big cushy booths meets walk up and order burger joint at the mall… then add organic to everything, and cover in bacon. Definitely a place I plan to return to — want to see what their meals are all about…

So inevitably, folks, places like this come down to a question of quality vs. cost. QUALITY: excellent. Food is not only very, very clean(mainly organic and of course grassfed), but well-handled and satisfying. I just walked out with a Husky(double patty, double cheese) and a large fries. Both were very, very good. The fries — well-seasoned, and not at all greasy or heavy — are some of the best I’ve had in recent memory. And as a former Chinese herbalist/nutrition specialist with a focus on combating the toxic overload in our personal environments, I truly applaud Burger Lounge’s efforts. COST: The Husky is, size-wise, exactly the scale of an In-n-Out Double Double: small, thin patties on a small bun. At $ 10.95, it’s also easily twice the price. AND: nothing else is included. The«large» portion of fries(which certainly isn’t huge) added $ 4.49 — inching up, if memory serves, on the cost not of a side-dish but of said Double Double itself. Thanks to my health background, I have a deep understanding of how and why organic/grassfed products can be quite a bit more expensive. And I’m willing, up to a point, to pay a premium for the major health benefits they represent. But this is yet another example of a company(can anybody say Whole Foods?) conceived around doing the right thing, then positioning the cost outside the reach of far too many people who might otherwise walk away from McD’s and come onboard. My sense is Burger Lounge is doing well; this is no surprise since its locations are typically in more affluent areas. But in all sincerity: if the owners truly want to walk their talk(and generate higher volume for an excellent product), they’d find a way to make it more financially approachable. If we want to REALLY improve health in this ridiculously overfed and undernourished country, we can’t just provide those advantages to the 1% who don’t care what the cost is.

Delicious burgers; awesome staff. I highly recommend the turkey burger. It’s flavorful and juicy, yet still lean enough that I don’t feel bad adding some of that sweet applewood smoked bacon on there! They have nice creamy milkshakes, also. My personal favorite(as the staff has come to know all too well) is the chocolate shake with malt and whipped cream… good thing there’s an Equinox right next door, I guess!

*** UPDATE*** The review below was after trying my first LOUNGEBURGER… Today, I tried the HUSKYBURGER and LOVEDIT. I upgraded my rating to 4 stars as well. As far as I’m concerned, Burger Lounge’s «Husky Burger» should be their«standard» burger because it includes two beef patties, instead of just one like their other burgers. Adding the second patty makes the ratio of meat to all other ingredients, including the bun, just perfect IMHO. Really loved the burger. Plus, even though this location was closed to walk-in customers due to some plumbing problem, they still allowed online orders. Really nice people working there also. Very friendly and with a good sense of humor. I will gladly return soon. =========================================================== Decent burger. Good flavor, good quality ingredients. Especially the taste of the 100% grass fed beef… that’s the main selling point IMHO. I would definitely eat there again. On the flip side, [no bun intended :-) ] the burger patties are a bit on the thin side for my taste, and the only option they offer to get more meat is a second patty on their HUSKY burger. The problem with the thin patty is that they tend to get over cooked a bit too easily. I ordered a medium rare burger, but it ended up to be more medium as you can see in the pictures. But that’s my only criticism. Love the buns, and all the fresh ingredients. Next time, the HUSKY. Good burgers.

Creature of habit or just craving this burger again. Both. Can I say, service in this place can not get any better. Not only is the food delicious, but when you have the staff very attentive to everyone, it really helps. I observe everything, since I’m in a customer service industry and it’s important that you observe all your customers and see what they are going to ask before they even ask. From handing extra napkins, to refilling you drink, it shows that management has trained them very well. Brought my son this time and we ended up eating the whole lounge burger and ½ 1⁄2 basket of onion rings and fries again. I would get there shake, but for $ 5.95 and being the size of a meal, I know I wouldn’t finish the burger. Sure wish they would have a smaller version to have with my burger, but maybe when I’m craving dessert, I’ll swing by and get the shake.

Finally tried a beef burger at this location. It was delicious. My friend said it was arguably better than any Belcampo burger. I got a kids meal. It was perfectly sized for me. I’m not much taller than five feet and lead a pretty sedentary lifestyle so I consider that enough food to fill my belly. The patty was 2 oz and there was a decent amount of lettuce(which I was not charged extra for). The portion of French fries was perfectly sized as well. My friend got a husky burger. I had a bite. It just tastes exactly how you want a burger to taste. Like Johnny Rockets in it’s heyday when we were kids and didn’t know about industrial meat production… Anyways, this place is all sorts of good. The fries were nice and crispy with little flecks of herbs and salt. I think I got a hint of garlic too, yum. The soda is made with cane sugar… meh, a step in a direction. I’m a staunch opponent of sugar… but cola somehow completes the burger and fries trifecta. I’ll stick with the kids size. I highly recommend you check it out! Next time I’m going to try to pasture raised elk burger with wild mushrooms, watercress, and garlic aioli! The ultimate next step would be for this place to source organic greens. Then they’d really be on fire! Five stars for flavor/taste/texture and customer service!

They really emphasize and take pride in their«grass fed beef» which I noticed nothing extraordinary about it and made it more costly. It was a little pricey knowing I could’ve just went to in n out and be just as happy. However, the food was good and the staff was extremely friendly.

I really liked this burger spot in Marina Del Rey. Its not too pricey for organic, grass fed options, and they have a good selection of burgers and sides. I got their classic turkey burger, a side salad, and a small order of onion rings. If you are craving onion rings but don’t want to feel gross and greasy, come here! These are the«healthiest» onion rings I have ever had and they satisfied the craving. I love finding a good spot like this that also lists the calories on their food. And most of the stuff is pretty low in calorie and relatively healthy. I am happy to have a go-to, not unhealthy burger joint nearby. Bad part: the location is on a busy street. If you sit outside it is quite noisey.

Schlammin’… what can I say? If you’re a fan of organic and grass-fed burgers, look no further than Burger Lounge. I’m happy that they’re starting to open up in multiple locations across the Southern California area. If you know what’s good, you’ll get the Turkey Burger with a side of fries. And get the BBQ sauce… :) I get it every time and I leave a happy customer.

They hit all the marks! Fresh grass-fed, single-source(which reduces the risk of contamination) beef and quality toppings/bun, perfect preparation, great sauces, and great atmosphere. The menu is only about ten items, and that focus really shows. All burgers come with the basics(lettuce, tomato, pickle, etc., and they will happily customize it). I’ve had the«Lounge Burger,» which comes with 1000 Island, and I’ve had«The Classic,» which is mustard and ketchup. Both yum! Next up for me… the wild mushroom ELK burger! I’m not a big fan of onion rings — they are usually too greasy for me — but here they are great! Get the«half and half» and you’ll get about a half dozen of them and a bunch of fries, it’s enough for 2 – 3 people. Feeling special? Get yourself a chocolate malt. YUM. I can’t think of another burger place in the area that hits all the marks like they do.

I was feeling a burger and decided to stop by this joint to try their grass fed beef. I placed my order up front and they brought the food to me. I ordered the Lounge Burger and fries. Got the burger medium rare with white cheddar and grilled onions. It came with lettuce, 1000 island, and a slice of tomato. The burger was tasty, light, and gave me a refreshing sense afterwards. However, it was lacking the hearty flavor I was looking for. I prefer a greasy and juicy burger and would rather skip the organic elements the next time around.

Walking in, the eatery is very well designed and the staff is kind and considerate. So for those aspects, positivity does reside. However, when it comes to their culinary items, drinks, and prices – the thoughts go down. First, the size of the burgers. What are deemed regular and small are truly not filling. I ordered a lamb burger that cost over $ 10.00 and it was hardly within a size that would fill my appetite. The burger was thin and very greasy. The onion rings, while being within your need’s space, were always greasy to the nth degree. I ordered a Shirley Temple drink and it did not have much taste or substance. My son and wife ordered a «small burger» and small they truly were. Having a lot of bun and little meat makes you wonder why they were almost $ 6.00? Again, based upon the cost and their desire, it didn’t make them satisfied. Bottomline: Three people, a regular burger, two small burgers, an order of onion rings and an order of fries, plus one drink and two glasses of water came out to $ 41.00 plus. Hardly within our cost and desire to eat, drink, and be merry! Burger Lounge: Sorry, we are not going lunge for your burgers anymore!

Pretty damn good! Need a burger that came from a grass fed single source? Does it need to be flavorful, mouthwatering and served up by a friendly staff member? Look no further than Burger Lounge in sunny Marina Del Rey. Found this place on Unilocal and was immediately sold on the Lounge Burger for $ 7.95(Lounge Bun, Organic Cheese — White Cheddar or American, Fresh or Grilled Onion, Crisp Lettuce, Fresh Tomato, House-Made 1000 Island). It may sound a bit pricy, but in this world of $ 6 burgers full of hormone infused/crap fed beef… Ill gladly pay the extra $ 1.95 for the grass fed stuff. The meal was well presented and the portions were perfect. The taste was… well…pretty damn good! I recommend a side of seasoned onion rings(see pic). But thats me. Other meat options are: available are, lamb, turkey and chicken. Im sure there’s a salad option floating around in the menu too. However you may want to skip the salad and shamefully request an ice cream shake with your meal. Why not? As mentioned before the staff is super friendly and will hook you up with a free refill if they see your cup mostly empty. Go team! Yes, Burger Lounge is worth another visit for me and I recommend it to anyone visiting the Marina. Maybe take advantage of the shady patio while you enjoy your burger or salad? Eat responsibly.

Grass fed burgers for near the cost of fast food burgers? Oh hey, Burger Lounge above Gelson’s! The regular burgers are just over 5oz each so I was told by an employee. We had the lounge burger, the classic burger, and the half onion rings/half regular fries. $ 21 bucks out the door for a good meal served on a real plate. The seating area indoors was comfortable with a patio out front, great for warm summer nights. There is no beer or wine yet, but they are working on obtaining a license to serve alcohol. Park in the structure for Gelson’s!

3 — 3 ½ stars. Husky Burger $ 10.95 Double grass fed patty, cheese, pickles(they forgot to add it btw), onions, tomatoes, lettuce, thousand island sauce, and added grilled onions. — The meat tasted very fresh and I loved knowing that it’s grass fed. It lacked serious flavor though. Thank God for the Tabanero hot sauce or I really wouldn’t have enjoyed this burger. French Fries(regular size) $ 3.49 — Yummy!!! The regular size is more than enough. My friends got the half and half with onions rings which I do not recommend. The onions rings were overly salty. Lavender Lemonade $ 2.49 — Meh meh mehhhhh. I wouldn’t get this again. Very underwhelming but is very appealing to the eye. My whole meal came out to $ 18.45 including tax which I think is a bit on the pricier side but the burger was a decent enough size. On a positive note, the customer service was wonderful and genuine. I’m not too sure I’ll be back since I can just get In-N-Out for 1⁄3 the price of this place but it was nice to try out.

You can truly taste the quality of the food at Burger Lounge. Grass fed burgers? I am down. It’s a new restaurant and they have mastered service and quality of food very quickly. Major kudos to them. I think they will be sticking around for a while. FOOD: You can never go wrong with their signature lounge burger. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to medium rare patty. Served with a fresh and crisp lettuce, super juicy tomato, your choice of cheese(I prefer their cheddar) and your choice of grilled or raw onions. You also can’t forget their yummy thousand island sauce that comes with the burger. I am also a huge fan of their french fries. Always really crunchy and never too oily. One time the fries were overcooked and they were kind enough to make me me a fresh batch too. Without any hesitation. Best of all, they make their sauces in house. I love their ranch dressing! To all those healthy people, they also have a paleo version of the burger. I do want to try that. SERVICE: Always phenomenal. Everyone is so welcoming and accommodating.

Very nice space, great location. The staff was very friendly, which was especially impressive for 10pm on the 4th of July. The sign showed that they were supposed to be closed, but they kept happily serving guests that were showing up after fireworks. As for the food, it was OK. I tried the turkey burger with a lettuce wrap instead of a bun, Lounge Style — with grilled onions, cheese, and thousand island dressing. I would have rated this 5 stars if the burger cost a few bucks, but at $ 7.95, it’s overpriced(fries and drinks would have cost extra too). If the full combo meal was $ 7.95, this would be home run. But at these prices, it’s expensive fast food.

Came across this gem today for lunch. Was planning on going to Tender Greens, but wanted to check out what Burger Lounge was all about. Jamal gave us the run down, he was energetic and knowledgeable and truly excited about BL. We decided to partake. I went with the Kale-romaine salad with a grass fed beef patty. There is bar seating, indoor tables and booths and limited outdoor seating. The meal came out quickly. The burger patty was seated to lock in flavor, and wow, it was delicious. Best I have had in a long time. The salad was a perfect compliment to the protein, light, tasty… With fried sweet potatoe strips to add texture. The staff was extremely pleasant, refilling our drinks often and providing to go cups before we left. I’m looking forward to exploring other menu items. I did get to taste the turkey which was flavorful as well. Jamal checked in on us several times. Thanks for the excellent service.
