Winston’s Food & Spirits

BiI tried to go back to Winstons in good faith. I paid for beers and a meal but got kicked out before I could finish. All because I was upset I was treated poorly in the past. CHAD is a liar, a thief, and cheated me out of 30 bucks. If you like Winstons, never ever say a bad word. However if rat droppings and being treated like you are doing them a favor go ahead and spend your hard earned money on food the won’t give you, or drinks you won’t get to finish. Thanks Chad I could’ve gotten real food minus food poisoning. You stole my money and every person I know or will listen will know about you and what your sad excuse for a restaurant will be. Until now I spend thousands over 4 years but I’m not covering for you anymore. Ps make your kitchen staff stop working without hair nets or going to restroom without washing their hands

Good bar food– dirty bird items are the best as well as the tater tots. Simple bar setting with extremely friendly staff, fairly quick service. A favorite place for our group of family friends. Good prices for big portions, and a great selection of different kinds of food. Theres something for everyone– and if there isn’t, just ask. They can whip up all kinds of stuff

This is a great place to go and get absolutely annihilated. If you want to wake up regretting «something» but not remember exactly what then Winston’s is the place for you. The tater tots soak up Jagermeister nicely and the prime rib is a fabulous prelude to a night of drunken tomfoolery. The wine selection is fabulous – they have «red» and «white». There is also a generous assortment of soiled Marietta doves available on any given night that you can entertain for the evening if you can bear to face yourself in the morning. Of course, if you think of the future you don’t really belong at Winston’s.

I just moved into the area last year and thought I would give the neighborhood independent a try. I got a coupon in the mail for buy one get one with purchase of two beverages.
We went on Friday night at 6:30 and was told by the first server that all appetizers were half price until 7:00. We went to order from server #2 Jessica and informed that was not correct only a couple of things were part of that special
Oh well we ordered one and our dinner. Jessica would run by asking if things were OK never slowing down to hear our answer. We did manage to flag her down a couple of times.
When it came time for the bill I gave her the coupon and she brought back the check with the half price appetizer with no mention of the coupon and disappeared.
We had to ask another server that we need to see Jessica. When she came out the GM Kevin was with her and in full huff. Got right down in my face. He is a big person. He said I could not have both so I asked for the coupon rather than the half price appetizer. He jerked up the ticket crushed into a ball and stomped away. Jessica did change the check, but never came back to get my charge card. Good thing I had cash on me.
I do not understand the attitudes of Winston’s staff. Skip this place. There are restaurants who actually respect customers and want them to return.

It’s a total dive bar. Before I moved into the area I had people tell me to stay away from this place. Turns out I should of listened. The only good thing are the drinks are cheap. I tried to eat there 2 times and got sick both times.

I have eaten at Winston’s several times after living across the street 15 years. In those 15 years, drunk police officers had a shoot out in the parking lot, there have been over served customers by the neighborhood grocery store and late night drunk individuals scream in the parking lot. I have tried to ignore these problems but many night this dive bar is a neighborhood nuisance. At best, Winston’s is nothing special. The food is average and the service is frequently bad. Working in the service industry since the 1980’s, I have worked as a bartender/​waitress at large Atlanta clubs, i worked in fine dining, and I have even worked in casual family dining. Most restaurants love service industry professionals… not Winston’s. I bend over backwards to understand slow service and bad service. But, I do not understand the attitudes of Winston’s staff. Skip this place. There are restaurants who actually respect customers and want them to return.

Pub atmosphere (only a little dank) with good service. I appreciate the truly segregated smoking vs nonsmoking rooms. Though a bit pedestrian, they offer a veggie burger for us vegetarians.

Came here for lunch using Scoutmob. Winston’s is a dive bar with a strong smokey interior. The menu offers a very extensive list of bar food at very affordable prices. I ordered a caesar salad (I know, at a bar, go figure) and shared an appetizer of fried pickles and jalapenos. The portions are really large and I enjoyed my meal of the most part.

I came here because I had a scoutmob for the place. I wasn’t expecting much when I showed up but it was a pleasant surprise.
They have $ 2.25 draft beers for Busch and some pretty good dirty wings. The wings just taste like bbq wings but the portions were nice. I also had their rib tips. They were also tasty. This is a nice spot to drink beers with friends and catch a game.

Ok first time here and I will say, the portions are HUGE! (come hungry) I got an order of prime rib «bites» and it was DAMN good! What kept it from being a star rating? One word answer, Staff. Our server was having an off day (as she told the table next to us and we heard EVERY detail) And she seemed more interested in that other table (regulars or friends but come on 3 other tables and we are ALL paying) Over all just OK and worth a stop if your hungry.

The food is «classic american» — burgers, sandwiches, steaks… Great fish an chips, and the food quality is consistent.
I love the fact that the BAR side is cigar friendly — thanks to the owner being a cigar smoker! If you’re a non smoker, they have a non-​smoking side — but I’ve never been over there honestly.
Reasonable prices, friendly service, it’s like an older neighborhood bar in a big city, but in this smaller Georgia town.

Good location, as there are not a whole lot of restaurants around this area.
The bad part? The whole place stinks of smoke. The separated area is not very good and the staff was discussing their drug convictions and laughing about it last time I went. Otherwise, pretty good food.
