I chose Visioncrafters for my annual eye exam because they are very close to my house. I found out they only do eye exams on Thursdays but I decided to give them a shot. A simple eye exam for new contacts lasted two hours. I have been wearing contacts for 15 years and glasses for 20 and have never had an exam last that long. I had my pupils dilated and the doctor was very clear that it would make things close up blurry but I would be able to see distances fine. I knew this to be true from past dilations. They gave me a new pair of contacts and since I couldn’t see up close they told me which was for the left eye and which was for the right. After I put them in I told one of the women up front I still couldn’t see and that the prescription was wrong. She went back and forth between me and the doctor for a few minutes and he eventually came out to see me. He told me I couldn’t see far away because of my pupils being dilated(even though he was very clear I would be able to see distances). I was adamant that I wanted him to double check my eyes. They examined my eyes with one of the machines and printed something out. The woman said«this is interesting» and handed it to the doctor. They had switched my prescriptions. The doctor did apologize and gave me a new pair but not after every one arguing with me. I then ordered six boxes of contacts. I wanted them to be shipped to my home but they ended up calling me to come pick them up. I had my boyfriend go and when he got home there were only two boxes of contacts. I called them and they tried to act like the company they ordered the contacts from messed up and not them. Turns out they were double boxes so I got four boxes worth of contacts. The woman I spoke to told me they owed me one box of contacts since there were 12 instead of 6 in a box. I told her then I would have more contacts for one eye than another and I didn’t want that. She told me the contacts I want only come in packs of 12. I knew this to be untrue as I have worn the same brand of contacts for almost a decade. They did end up correcting my order and sending me an extra box of contacts but I would never go back and I would absolutely never recommend them to anyone.
